The Journey legend is going solo and leading out with <em>I&#8217;ll Be Home for <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4Y9W27PBrd8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><\/center>The album \u2013 Perry\u2019s first full-length seasonal outing \u2013 is due out Nov. 5 on Fantasy Records.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope when people hear this record, they\u2019re teleported in the same way I was when I recorded all these songs \u2013 I hope it brings them back to those golden moments with their loved ones and gives them that <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/sneaking-christmas\/\">feeling<\/a> of joy and connection and comfort that we all need so much,\u201d Perry says.<\/p>\n<p>The album features eight tracks consisting of six <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> tunes and two New Year\u2019s Eve favorites. The songs are <em>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> Song,\u201d \u201cI\u2019ll Be Home For <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>,\u201d \u201cAuld Lang Syne,\u201d \u201cWinter Wonderland,\u201d What Are You Doing New Year\u2019s Eve,\u201d \u201cSanta Claus Is Coming to Town,\u201d \u201cSilver Bells\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cHave Yourself A Merry Little <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Perry is long removed from his days with the rock group Journey, from whom he split in the 1990s. While Journey has endured with legions of new fans who could recognize his distinctive voice anywhere this new solo album is quite the departure for those that know and <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/sneaking-christmas\/\">love<\/a> his style.<\/p>\n<p>This is Perry&#8217;s 2nd album since 2018&#8217;s <em>Traces<\/em>. He was asked about coming back and said this: <em>\u201cI don&#8217;t know if its coming back into anything familiar because it seems like everything&#8217;s changed. I&#8217;ve changed, the world is different, the whole process is different \u2014 but somewhat the same, y&#8217;know, as far as trying to let people know that I have new music. But, it seems so different, y&#8217;know?
