On this day in 1945 in the mountain home of the Garcia family in Lares, Puerto Rico Jose was born. Due to congenital glaucoma, Jose has been blind since birth. He received musical training as a child and has gone on to a sterling international career as a guitar virtuoso and vocalist. <\/p>\n<p>For fans of <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> music Jose is famous for his song Feliz Navidad which gets unfairly labeled by some as an annoying song. Released as part of a 1970 <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> album the song is one of the few truly international <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> songs ever released. \u201cFeliz Navidad\u201d is recognized by ASCAP as one of the 25 all-time most-played <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a> songs in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The music of Jose Feliciano is an experience. It truly needs to be explored outside of this one monster song of <a href=\"https:\/\/mymerrychristmas.com\/x\/celebrating-20-years-of-the-merry-forums\/\">Christmas<\/a>.
