Well...when I woke up this morning I saw that she was up to her shenanigans again overnight - in the middle of our TV room floor I found - one of Jims flip flops chewed up, both of his shoes laying in the middle of the floor, (undamaged) a coolie cup, & she had been chewing on her bed! She must sleep too much through the day!!! LOL!!!! But she was comfortably sleeping on our couch this AM! Little stink pot!!! Where is this coming from???

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! I'm sooo tired today! Our friends who share their wedding Anniversary with Jim's birthday wanted to go out to celebrate last night! Well it was a lot of fun - we were home a little after 11, but neither one of us wanted to wake up this morning! It was raining/dreary...GREAT morning for sleeping in! Ah well...here I am! He is going out for breakfast with our lake neighbor & then to a casino! Sounds like trouble to me! (and more fun than working...)
Just work for me today. Tonight we have a funeral viewing for our neighbors Dad. UGH! That's about it for me!

Merry Wednesday!

Went down to Howell today. Wish I had some time to explore the restaurants, stores, and the Carnegie Library (that was the hardest to pass up!), but had to make an appointment at noon and then head to the store. Did make it to a couple of thrift stores. They would be a great source, but it is too far and the traffic home was insane.

Tomorrow there could be heavy rain ~ hope so, we are still under drought conditions.

Happy Friday EVE MMC! Middle Day of August means only 16 days till the Bers. Wowzers. I found out yesterday a guy who worked for my company until recently passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Only 51 and was in good health. Just crazy and sad. Sorry for the down note. Hope you all have a good day today!

Good Thursday morning! A day off for me and a cool down in temperatures, it feels nice this morning. I can wear shoes without much pain again so I'll go for a nice long walk with Loki today. Other than that I just need to rest. My chronic lack of sleep is starting to get to me. I will talk with a pharmacist about ZZZquil or other non-habit-forming options to help me sleep better. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

I bought ZZZquil for our trip to Hawaii but I never ended up taking any. My nephew swears by it for long plane rides, etc!

It’s going to be hot and humid with highs near 90 degrees. My youngest has two routine doctor appointments today, I’m going to tag along to keep her company. I’ll be working on my daily chores in between. My mother is also stopping by later this afternoon to have tea & cookies with us Dinner will be shrimp scampi over linguini. That’s about it for me. It's the TWO-THIRDS mark to Christmas Day.
That's right.
In just 9 more days, we will enter the final third of our Christmas Day count.
(The year is slipping away through our fingers, Guys!)

Well, a rare dry day yesterday allowed me to get some mowing done in the evening after the temperatures declined and the grass dried some.
Today should be rain-free as well, and it has dawned here under sunny skies with a thermometer reading of 72 degrees.

It's Weekend Eve again tomorrow, as you well know!

Happy Friday Eve!!
I didn't get a chance to log on yesterday, I had to take my Dad for hernia surgery. He had to be there for 11:30 but he didn't get into surgery until 2:30. So by the time I got him home and went to CVS for his pain meds, I didn't get home until almost 8. I spoke with him this morning and he is said he is doing well and not in too much pain.
Work for me today and then catching up on laundry tonight.

I'm glad to hear your dad's pain is under control after his surgery. Prayers for a speedy recovery!!

Oh no, Martine...hope you can find something to sleep! I have taken ZZZquil before and it works well. Have you tried Melatonin?

Many people have told me about Melatonin, it's one of the options that I will look at when I speak with a pharmacist. My worry with any of these options is that I won't find "natural" sleep when I don't take anything. I don't want to take medicine or supplements for any long period of time. What is the longest period you have taken ZZZquil or Melatonin?

I take Melatonin when I have trouble sleeping. It seems to help me. I hope you get some rest!
