Merry Friday MMC!
Another hot and humid day here, we’re expecting storms to pass through tonight. Not too much going on here, I’m just working on a menu plan and grocery list. I’m going to make a Target run today and stop at the butcher afterward. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. I’m taking a break from cooking tonight and we’re going to order Chinese Food. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!!!

Good dark & stormy morning MMC!! Happy Friday!!! Holy black sky!! It's dark as night outside. The lights that turn on at night here at work, are on! I wanted to check in quick incase we lose power!
Anybody have fun plans for the weekend? We are just heading to the lake. Other than that - ???

I'm sorry you didn't get the kitten!!! These rescue organizations are crazy now a days... some won't adopt out to you if you've never even had a cat or a dog before (how are you supposed to get one then!?), they want vet references, they won't adopt out to you a dog if you have a small yard, etc.. it is ridiculous! We tried rescuing a puppy and we were denied because at the time we were living in an apartment (super dog friendly, the apartment even had a dog park and hiking trails near by!) even though we were moving into a house in a month LOL! We ended up just going to a breeder to get our puppy... not sure that is really what the rescues want is it? Oh well!


That sounds like the perfect day , especially the part about ordering Chinese food... YUM!!!

Today I'm stuck waiting around in the house from 11-3 for the AC repair guy. Luckily it is just the upstairs AC so the downstairs is nice and cool! Feeling in the holiday spirit today with only a few more days until we are in the BERS!!!! I'm going to make some chocolate chip cookies while I wait around

Yes, the rescues can be ridiculous. If you don't have a fenced in yard, if you both work, small yard, apartment...etc. I know they are trying to find a perfect home for the poochies, but there are so many dogs & so many good homes willing to take them!

Good Friday morning! Grey skies and rain coming in for the rest of the day, which is a good thing cause we really need it. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift so I'm just relaxing right now. Last night I took half a dose of ZZZquil because I was too chicken to take a full dose but it did not help me sleep the whole night through so I will try a full dose tonight. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Btw, have you ever tried any sleepy time tea?

It's another more holistic approach.
I sometimes put a little Lavender oil on my pillow, or in a diffuser. I am a firm believer in essential oils.

Mama is still helping with Jim's daughter while his wife goes to physical therapy, so no lunch with Mama today. Maybe a date night with Nancy tonight, though.
