Good Morning, MMC~

Merry Pines Day!

A rainy Wednesday here. Storms continue through tomorrow as we travel to the Twin Cities for Harlowe's annual cardiology appointment. My sister is coming along for support-she joins us every year. Harlowe adores her auntie, and it really helps keep me more calm.

Please keep my Mom in your prayers~ she wasn't feeling well over the weekend, and went in to urgent care Monday night. She was there for 7 hours, they did a lot of tests, and found out she has pneumonia. She is at home now, resting and on some strong antibiotics. I worry extra because she is a senior, and I know it's more difficult to kick.

A typical day here. Work, a few meetings, and then getting ready for tomorrow.

Good Morning, MMC!!! It’s been a long morning already. I couldn’t sleep so I just got up and by 6am I was washing and vacuuming out the car at the quarter car wash. Then I took it at 7 to get the oil changed and tires rotated. Then it was a stop by the grocery store for a few things and goodwill to drop off 5 bags of stuff that I cleaned out of the closets. And I haven’t even had any caffeine yet!! I hope everyone has a great day!!

Wow...you have accomplished a lot already...enjoy your coffee and hope you get some time to relax!

Your poor Mom...she is the 3rd case of pneumonia I have heard of..crazy..hope she is better soon!
My brother has a confirmed case of the flu, was diagnosed Monday morning. He is on Tamiflu and is starting to feel a bit better.

Laundry is done and 4 loaves of sweet potato raisin bread just came out of the oven. Maybe I should shoot for 3 hours of sleep every night. Lol!

Yes.
We did have some damage but less than I anticipated. Some shingles off. Missing siding here and there and some soffit dislodged. Porch screens blown out, of course. Appears no water inside though, which is the biggest plus.
NC Farm Bureau has been notified and an adjuster is to call. Already have someone securing what needs to be, to prevent further damage.
All in all, things went pretty well considering, and it looks like we will survive to be open for another rental season in 2019!

Just closed Starbucks. Not even tired. Not sure why .... Not Yabba!

So that’s why there was a sign on the door this morning saying closed until emergency shipment arrives.

Tuesday was a good day. We are back in our house. Our son and his wife came over for dinner. It was our first home cooked meal in our remodeled home. Some items still need to be addressed but the end is in sight.

Thursday I will be joining a group of men from our church on our annual hiking trip into the Great Smoky Mountains national park. We hike 7 miles into the wilderness area of Hazel Creek for 3 days of Bible study, fellowship, and fly fishing. It is always a great time and we should have plenty of trout for dinner then a cigar by a campfire.

It’s going to be partly cloudy with a high of 78 degrees. Not too much going on here, it’s just a typical day of errands and chores. My middle one is home today so we’re going to grab something for lunch. I’m just having my coffee right now and I’m browsing gifts for my oldest daughters bridal shower. I’m going to make baked raviolis later tonight for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!

It's hard to believe that my work is already starting to think about scheduling for the holidays. Since I am out of the building I got to put in my requests early and it looks like they are all being honored and I got a surprise holiday off too. I am working day on Halloween so we can trick or treat and then watch Christmas movies. I volunteered for Thanksgiving but I got that off. I'll work black Friday am, Christmas Eve morning and New Years Day night. My coworkers are mostly flexible since me and the store manager have kids so it all works out.

Today will be a busy day. I have some chores to finish this am and then I work tonight until 10. Have a great day everyone

I got up from my desk to grab water and saw these 2 taking their morning naps! LOL... Andre is giving me his side eye and Leo is all chilled and relaxed on his back..(don't mind all the blankets, we keep them on the couches for the pups. )

It's nice when an office works together like that. Ours is similar, too.

It's so nice. Especially when it is retail. I can try to plan out now some of the holiday type events. Working Black Friday am really doesn't bother me too much since it takes all day for my family to decorate so I'll still get to participate and I'm done all the big gift shopping already.
