Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!
It’s going to be partly cloudy with a high of 57, we’re currently at 48 degrees. Starting to get those cooler temperatures now. I have to run to the pet store today to get a jacket for Rocky. I also have to stop at Michael’s and Hallmark. I’m still running around like crazy for the bridal shower! Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be tacos. I guess that’s it. Hope everyone is well. Have a wonderful day MMC!

Good afternoon ... The weather is really chilly now which is great. The warmth and humidity we had been dealing with was horrible and it was making it hard to get excited about fall and Halloween. We may actually have to turn on the heater later this week as they are calling for temps in the upper 30s and lower 40s at night. I know there are few members here near me in the Philly region ... radio station 101 just launched their Christmas Music Survey Yesterday https://www.morefmphilly.com/vip_contest/101-1-more-fm-christmas-music-survey-2018/ so get on there and cast your vote for your favorite Christmas songs and what day you want them to start playing Christmas Music. My son and I started it last night and will do a little each night before he goes to bed. He really takes after me with Christmas Have a great day!

Thursday night is supposed to be horribly cold! I just saw the survey was up on Facebook. I am going to take it Friday as I am changing over Carolina's summer clothes to fall

Stopped at the grocery store this evening and they have their holiday baking display set up and all kinds of Thanksgiving displays all through out the store. I so love walking into the stores this time of the year.

Just signed up for the Xmas card exchange which I’m really excited about.

We’re just approaching half term holidays for schools in the UK which means I get the kids home for a week - yay.

Morning MMC! The October Chill has settled in for many of us. It definitely has that feel to it...as I said it feels more like Thanksgiving than Halloween. Always interesting to see when the first snow flakes fly of the season. I think these days where it's sunny, like today, I'm going to sit in the sun and try to take in the warmth that's left in it before the next few months when even the sun starts to not help us as much. I have another busy day ahead. I need to make a Target run, more bridal shower shopping and I still didn’t get an outfit to wear on Saturday, so crazy. And wonder of wonders, just look at our count figures:
Days to Halloween: 14 (Two weeks from today!)
Days to the Season: 27 (Now under 4 weeks off!)
Days to Christmas Day: 70 (Under ten weeks left!)
(How can this be, Guys??)

Cooler but still very nice, although marred just a tad by evening rain yesterday.
Today has started out drippy as well, but it is predicted to clear by afternoon and we should have a dry remainder of the week, although it will be chillier.
Our current temperature reading is 66 degrees here in central North Carolina.

Well, of course it's Pines Day once again.
Carl is getting more and more excited about Halloween falling on open house Wednesday two weeks from today and wants that evening to be extra special.
In the meantime, enjoy our inn of choice decorated to the hilt in an autumn decor, complete with earth-tone fired twinkies.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible this eveing.

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I've really been working hard this week. Most of the other admin staff has been out for varying reasons, so I've been scooting from one desk to another, trying to make sure something doesn't fall through the cracks.

I also found out yesterday that there been some water damage at my mom's vacation home. She spoke to a contractor, then she asked me to handle it. It's 300 miles away! It looks like I may have to take a couple days off to inspect the damage and approve whatever corrective action is needed. We'll see what happens.

Other than that, it's still hot here (75°F at 7:30 this morning), but hopefully this is summer's last gasp.

December 24: It's a Wonderful Life on NBC @ 8 pm; A Christmas Story marathon begins @ 8 pm on TBS

I haven't see anything yet on Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph, Frosty, and the rest.

I got stocking stuffers for BIL yesterday & a shirt for DD today that she picked out. I know of a few gift cards that nieces want, but I'll save up for those and do that later. No rush on those types of gifts. I also got Christmas wrapping paper yesterday that I bought from a school sale. I'm thinking of how I want to decorate the trees and house this year. I need to start on Christmas cards too. Maybe I can work on that tonight...

So exciting!!!

There is possible snow in the forecast tonight for the first time this fall! Looks like it's due to hit just in time for the 5pm commute, so that should be a fun drive home from the office.
