Good morning ~
Merry Monday!
It’s goimg to be mostly sunny today with a high of 53 degrees. Rocky has an early groomer appointment this morning. I’m going to do some food shopping afterward. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. I’m looking forward to a less hectic week, I ran around like crazy last week for the shower. I’m going to make a big pot of chicken noodle soup for dinner with homemade biscuits. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!

so glad to hear the shower was special and beautiful ! My daughters shower is this coming Saturday. Only just over a month to the big day.

off to the florist with my daughter this morning to make sure all is still on track and confirm the correct flowers have been ordered.
Then I am off to work.
Had beans soaking overnight and are now in slow cooker for a batch of baked beans which will be served with pulled pork and coleslaw.
Chilly this morning, but love the crisp coolness and the awesome fall colors.

Good Morning, Milestone Marker Meeters!

And just look at how many Milestone markers we have met and passed already, with not a single one left now between us and the beginning of Christmas Season 2018.

But as to the count itself, make note of this:
Days to Halloween: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!!)
Days to the Season: 22 (Three weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 64 (Nine weeks from tomorrow!)
(That Halloween marker's nearness is downright scary!)

Pretty decent weather here yesterday. A tad on the cool side but really not bad for late October, especially with lots of sunshine and no rain.
Today will again be a dry one with highs in the low to mid 60's, then 70 for tomorrow.
Our current reading is 39 degrees.

Another work week and it's chilly out there. Not too much planned, my daughter has a soccer game today and then my daughter has basketball practice tonight. Tonight I am making oven baked chicken tacos. Hope everyone has a great start back to the week!

Happy New Week!

I hope it will be a happy week ... Mr. has a cold and isn't feeling well, so I may be next ... and that would scuttle any audio projects for a few weeks, as a cold totally wrecks my voice. Wish me luck!

On the other hand, I found a vintage 1916 copy of a book I love in really good condition (for its age) and couldn't resist buying it. It should arrive this week! Until now I've only been able to read the book in a PDF I found online. It'll be nice to be able to read the actual book, and see illustrations that aren't low-res scans!

The wind was terrible Friday and Saturday. There are still people here without power.

I came close to turning the heat on yesterday but just did laundry to warm up the apartment instead.

A 1916 book, in good condition. That sounds like a pretty good find. I love old books myself. That is along as they don't have that mildew/ musty smell to it, that's because I am highly allergic to it.

They are talking it up about snow coming this week... Winter, It's trying to get here already. I thought for sure it would be about another month out before we would see any of the white stuff.

The book was a good find, and it was priced accordingly ... but the likelihood of finding another in that condition is low, and I didn't want to lose it. It's at the post office now, but neither of us can get there during business hours until the weekend.

Looks like I'm going to have to set up some appointments, to go see a urologist and also a gastroenterologist, so they can take a better look at me. I am not looking forward to seeing either one, especially the gastroenterologist, those guys are a real pain in the rear....

Yikes!! They are talking big snow in some parts! Dang northern winds. It’s shaping up to be a crazy winter.

Merry Monday!

Work today, but I'm home so I am going to make a pot of sauce for mushroom ravioli. It is a gorgeous day out right now ~ sun shining, not too cold. I hope to get a walk in later today.

Enjoyed what is shaping up to be the last warm day(62 degrees) of the season, this past Friday. I took the day off, hung the outdoor Christmas lights, lubed the snow thrower, and covered the air conditioner in its winter jacket.

I will clean the gutters out after our trees finish dropping their leaves. Most of the ones living(?) in the drainage portals are from a huge tree next door. This includes the six inch stems that break off, stick out, and clog everything up.

The flannel sheets went on the bed, this morning. Gotta get indoors in line with the changing season, too.
