Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning ~
Merry Halloween Eve!
It’s going to be sunny today with a high of 54 degrees. The weather looks good for the trick or treaters tomorrow, it will be dry tomorrow afternoon/evening with temperatures in the upper 50’s. Not too much going on here today, I have to make a Target run and stop at the post office for stamps. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be tacos and I’m going to make bean & cheese enchiladas as well, my daughter has been asking me to make them. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

Tonight is the Dinner Theater at school with Elizabeth's play. It sold out, so they're planning another performance as a Dessert Theater next week. I'm looking forward to this!

It was 44°F this morning! Of course, it's supposed to get up to 85° tomorrow. LOL So much for a chilly Halloween.

Happy Tuesday!! One day before Halloween! Tonight I am taking my daughter and her 2 friends to a Haunted House. They have been dying to go to it. Typical work day for me. I am making baked mac and cheese for dinner.

When we decorate for Fall, it's just Fall decorations; pumpkins, scarecrows, hay bales, etc. We don't typically do the scary Halloween stuff, even though I enjoy seeing them. It's just Nancy's preference.

Anyway, when I passed by the front of the house this morning on the way to work, I saw that someone had carved our two pumpkins during the night! I have a good idea who did it, too. They're actually pretty good LOL.

Now I have to get a couple more to last until Thanksgiving.

LOL!!! That's kind of funny!!!! I'm glad they did a good job at carving the at least!!!

Good morning MMC!! I keep thinking it's Monday, but thankfully....IT'S NOT!!!

I enjoyed my day off yesterday - hung out at the lake all day. Unfortunately Mom is not doing real well, so I spent some time there last night to help out. It's so hard to see her so weak!

I am totally enjoying the Hallmark Christmas movies! I don't want to go to job #2 today b/c I can't watch Hallmark there - or visit here. LOL!!! I guess I'll get through it!

As long as the weather holds out, my brother/SIL are supposed to fly in from Cape Cod this afternoon. Will be nice to see them!

Good Tuesday morning! A day off for me and I actually slept until 7am, a record of some sort. I had to bring in our car early to have our Winter tires installed. I've done some laundry and tidied-up the place and prepared our poster for our work Christmas party. It's been an efficient morning. Now I'm just trying to stay warm with Loki on the couch while David is playing a new video game. I've had "Last Christmas" stuck in my head all morning. Soon I'll be playing Christmas music, I tend to wait until November. Have a great day everyone!

Hey there Meceka! Merry Tuesday! We did have a great time at ladies night. It didn't seem to be as big as normal, as far as the area where they have Christmas in the store, but it was great & I spent plenty....so they must have had some fun things. Ha ha!! I bought some beautiful lanterns. One for me, 2 for gifts! This picture really warmed my heart. They posted it the night before the open house with a caption "One more sleep!!! Copper is worn out from all the decorating and ready to show you the 2018 Christmas Shoppe! Hope to see everybody tomorrow night from 6-8:30!"

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high near 70. I don't have much on my agenda for today. I just need to get a few things done around here. My aunts neighbor's ipad is on the fritz also so I'm trying to get it working again. I tried to get it going last night while I was out there but nothing seems to be working. It just keeps saying the wifi passwords are wrong when I know they are right. I hope everyone has a great day!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Folks. As November looms just over the horizon it's time to start getting serious about the beginning of the Season, on the 13th.

In that regard, it's also time to start handing out dates for our annual Special Post Series, covering the five days before the Season begins (Nov. 8-12).

Any interested party, be thinking about what day you might like to have. With one exception, it's first come/first served.
We have one special, charter member (Binger!) who has always traditionally taken November 9 as far back as my records go. If they still want it this year, it's theirs! If not, it will be open to anyone.

The dates are always snapped up quickly, so let me know ASAP!

Happy Halloweekend MMC! A rainy Saturday here. Just relaxing with an iced coffee and a bagel after a long week. I have some work to do today but also time to relax some. Rollins little friend is over so they are both having fun (when they're not fighting lol). Have a great day!

Lucy Lu had a little friend over last night too. This stray dog showed up at our house - cute & sweet as a button! I posted a message on our local FB page & found the owner within minutes....but he was almost mine. Ha ha! Somehow he lost his collar & broke out of his fence. I would guess he is a black golden doodle, but maybe a labra doodle. Not sure, but he was absolutely adorable!

Happy Saturday everyone! Very rainy here and our high will not even reach 50 today! Perfect day to stay indoors and catch up on watching shows. Yesterday my brother and I made the long trip north (3 hours each way) to visit my parents and sister for the day. I know I have mentioned here that my father is very ill; he is terminal at this point and we are trying to visit with him as much as possible. He can barely get out of bed but when he found out we were there he was able to get up and make it to the table. He looks so bad, it is absolutely heartbreaking, but he was in good spirits yesterday and had us laughing at all his crazy jokes and comments. It was such a good time in the midst of a horrible situation. We brought him a lemon meringue pie, one of his favorites, and he was actually able to enjoy some, which made me so happy. And, before he woke up, I was able to sneak my mom off to a local store that does a "Christmas Lane" with tons of decorations, lights, music, and trees. I have visited there almost every year since childhood and it is an annual tradition for my mom and I to go. I wasn't sure if she would make it there this year as she can't leave my father alone anymore, but my brother stayed with him so we could go and enjoy. I am just very grateful for the day we all had, as I know those kinds of days won't be here forever. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy family and friends this weekend in whatever you do!

Yeah, I tried that first. Everything else was working just fine. It was only the iPad. Reset the network settings. Did a hard restart on it. Tried cycling the WiFi on and off.

It wouldn’t connect at my aunts or here at my house either. It won’t even connect with iTunes when I plug it into my laptop.

That makes the winter sound SO short!
We can fill in the time with our World Series DVDs from 2004, 2007, and 2013. Waiting to see if they split the 18-inning game between 2 DVDs, or use a double-sided DVD.

The 2018 World Series discs will probably be published 12/4/18.

As for Winter, you know better than to measure the weather by when Spring Training begins.
