Christmas Countdown - 2018

View attachment 51451 View attachment 51452 Hello friends! Finally getting to settle down for the night. I haven’t go to do as much around the house as I wanted, but we had a great family day. First, started off by going to meet our new puppy and had our first training class with her. Next Saturday will be our second class and we’ll get to bring her home.

Later this afternoon, we headed up to Elk County and got to see the elk. That’s the first time any of us have been there. What a beautiful countryside northern PA is. We ate dinner and then came home.

Tomorrow will be spent running the kids to Sunday School, then mass. Tomorrow is children’s mass and I’m looking forward to it. DS has a retreat at church in the afternoon, to get him prepared for first holy communion this year. After we get home, I plan on continuing to clean and decorate.

As for now, DD and I are sitting on the couch, enjoying Hallmark and popcorn.

Oh she is such an adorable puppy, look at her eyes (puppy eyes always get me)! I would be going crazy knowing I had to wait one more week to bring the puppy I had held in my arms home. She'll have a loving home, that's for sure.

Good Sunday morning! Since last evening it has been incredibly windy here, you hear the winds howling again this morning. Supper with my in-laws was cancelled last night because my father-in-law is feeling under the weather. But this afternoon my brother and father are coming over for a visit, so we'll try and get everything ready early this morning. I was up at 5:30 this morning, guess my body did not get the memo on getting an extra hour of sleep. I have been relaxing watching figure skating on dvr. But now it's time to bundle up and walk Loki and get this day finally started. Have a great day everyone!

Wow, did we ever have a lot of wind today. The leaves were raining out of the trees. We lost power for a minute or two and then it came back on. Now I got to reset all the clocks. My yard is completely covered with leaves and so tomorrow I’ll have to get the tractor out and mulch them up and scatter them all over. Makes for good compost for the lawn for next year.

I’m laying here in bed with one of my cats (Shiloh) she’s daddy’s kitty. I’ve been wondering about her all day, she’s been attached to me today like glue (more so than usual) and every time I leave the room, she comes after me yipping and purring, curling all around my legs and wants me to pick her up and hold her. She’s been extra nuzzling me and curling up either on me or right next to me. I hope she’s feeling ok.

The Hallmark channel and being in a horizontal position, are my plans for the rest of the evening.

I hope Shiloh is okay, she sounds like a very sweet little kitty cat.

Merry Sunday!
It’s going to be a nice day, sunny with a high of 53 degrees. Not too much going on here today. I think I’m going to sneak out of here soon and do some food shopping. I’ll take Rocky for a walk when I get home, he’s still snuggled up in bed with my husband anyway. My parents are coming over later this afternoon to visit so I’m going to bake a batch of brownies for them when I get home. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Thank you! I am going crazy - lol. DH said he knew I would be that way. I keep looking at her pictures. I’m so excited to have two again. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, when we had to put our first golden down almost two years ago, so it will be just the best having two to give more love again and for Nittany to have a buddy!

Guess what? I was driving home this evening and as I was driving thru this little town called Colchester, I saw 2 houses with Christmas lights! I was very nicely surprised to see those this early in November. It brought a glow to my heart to see that.

You were in my town! Where did you see them? I haven’t seen any yet!

Happy Sunday! Finally some sun is out and it is chilly out there! My youngest daughter has her last softball game at 2 and my oldest daughter has Powder Puff girl practice today at 3. The jr girls vs senior girls play flag football and boys are the cheerleaders. I also have to run to the grocery store at some point too. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning! I did get a few more hours of sleep, so I’m feeling better that way. I’ve gotta run the kids to Sunday school here at 9, then we have mass at 1030. We’ll get lunch in between and relax a little, then it’s back to the church at 2 for a retreat for DS. DH is working until 5, so I plan on coming home, doing some more cleaning and decorating, with Hallmark on!

Good morning all!

More decorating to do today. I will also watch my Browns lose to the Chiefs.

I have been looking at the local extended forecast and after some upper 50s the next couple of days we are suppose to have some colder air moving in that will plunge the daytime temps into the 40s and the night temps into the 20s with the chance for some....snow showers! We are not suppose o have any accumulation, but just the thought of seeing snow coming down is wonderful!
