Well, here we are at the start of the season countdown and the across the creek neighbours have turned on their outdoor lights. Christmas will be here before we know it! For now we can rejoice in the planning and merriment!

A Seasonal Good Morning to all residents anywhere and everywhere the full length, breadth and height of the great MMC Nation!
Last night, we rang in Christmas Season 2018 with the usual style, class and humor.

But the end has not come, Folks.
Our count goes on, just with one less line:
Days to Thanksgiving: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 42 (SIX weeks from TODAY!)
And we even have a Milestone marker left!
That's right.
It's the 90 percent, Home Stretch point to Christmas Day and it will arrive on November 18, just FIVE days from now!
(So don't let your guard down, Guys. We've only just begun!)

Wow. Rain, rain, rain late yesterday resulting in lawn ponding in our yard. Cold, too.
This morning, we awake to 47 degrees with lots of dampness but a bright and optimistic sun, although more rain is predicted.
We are supposed to only reach the 50's by this afternoon.

But nothing will chill us or dampen or spirits today, because the Christmas Season has begun!
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!

PARALLEL JOURNEYS

We take many trips in our lives. Trips with family and friends. Trips through our employment lives with co-workers. We travel with society at the local, state, national and international levels.

And, of course, we journey here at MMC toward a common goal.
What really makes this one special is not only the goal itself, but the wonderful, fine people we are traveling with.

While most head to Christmas with the blinds down and the curtains closed most of the year until the journey is nearly complete, we embrace the Christmas spirit here year-round. We keep those blinds and curtains open the full 365 days of the year, to enjoy the light of its message.
And to enjoy the company of each other.

It has truly been my pleasure to travel with all of you on yet another voyage back to a new Christmas Season.

Enjoy the next 50 days to the fullest. We ALL deserve it.
Have a Very Happy Christmas Season, dear Friends!

Beautiful post!! What a great way to celebrate/remember those who we have lost at such a special time of the year. This hits home as I'm not sure mom will be with us at Christmas - or even Thanksgiving! But if something does happen, I don't want to let it spoil my love of the holidays!! She has lived a good long life & her life isn't easy anymore. :( We need to continue the traditions!

I will keep all of you in my prayers Holiday {{{hugs}}}

JayIsh blew it...fell asleep too early thanks to a long day, and a decision to read instead of watch TV...book was on the floor, light was still on...at 3:24am...I missed it...SO sorry guys...I look forward to this all year and I blew it...Oh well...Merry Christmas Season to all!
Yes. Jayish needs to be here.
Made, too.

Good Tuesday morning! Can't believe how fast time is going and that Christmas is right at our doors. I saw a few more houses decorated with Christmas lights last night, it brought a smile to my face. It's snowing here right now, wet snow that will turn to rain at some point. Time to walk Loki and run a couple more errands this morning. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift but will go in early to set up training for two new assistant-managers. Hope everyone will have a great day!

Well, that "bright and optimistic sun" I just spoke of in my daily post sure didn't last long. We have now clouded over and a light rain has started.

Holiday...I am keeping your Mom in my prayers...I did not know she had taken such a turn...

My wife just surprised me with an 3 layer, vanilla bean ice cream cake, that she made for me for my birthday. Oh my gosh, how fantastic is that. Vanilla bean is my most favorite favorite of all ice creams. Mmmmm, this is out of this world good! I think I might just eat the whole thing!
Happy Birthday and the cake sounds delicious!

Happy Tuesday and Merry Christmas Season!....it is absolutely pouring here and should be until about 2 or so..just work for me and they are saying we may get some a few inches of snow Thursday into Friday...we'll see...not sure I am quite ready for that but what are you going to do! Hope you all have a great day and find a way to celebrate the first day of the season!

Well no snow for us overnight. It’s definitely cold though!! Nothing to crazy on my agenda for today. I have some errands to run and I’m going to try and get some more decorating done. I still have the bathroom and the kitchen to finish. Then I think I’ll put up my trees this weekend. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Merry Christmas Season, all!

Had to do some errands last night and saw the first lights of the season in my neighborhood (a wrapped tree trunk). Yes, it's begun! Also the stores were playing Christmas music in the background (or at least mixing it in), and shoppers were complaining "and it isn't even Thanksgiving yet." I just smiled and kept singing along under my breath!

Good morning and Merry Christmas season! I just crawled in to bed for a short nap - had to run the kids to school. I’ve gotta be back at the school at lunch time, for a program for DS, then pick them up at 330. I’m off today, so I plan on coming home, staying warm, and enjoying the season with Christmas movies and reading!

Hope you all have a great day!

Thank you Crown and you and yours the same! Thank you for all you do for MMC!

It's another cold, rainy day that just about doubled my commute time (which I spent listening to Tom Baker's reading of "A Christmas Carol"). This morning I'm really antsy to get to Thanksgiving week. I'm working on an audio project that just started to jell this weekend, and I'm antsy to get back to that and wrap it up. But the workweek has got to come first!

Good afternoon. Sorry I missed the countdown last night but 5 am rolls around way to fast. So excited that the season is upon us now if the next 6 weeks will just slow down a LOT that would be fantastic! I do see wrapping paper in my near future.. all these gifts I have ordered are starting to trickle in :)
