Wow, Edge ... that takes me back to Dec. 13, 2007, I think it was. Left work about 3 p.m. in a snowstorm and it took until about 8 p.m. to get to a Walgreens just a couple miles away in the same town. I learned what "gridlock" means: at intersections, no one could move; backups were so long they were crossing the intersections. and they just kept growing. I stopped at the Walgreens and just sat in a chair by the pharmacy and read until about 10 or 10:30 p.m., by which time the gridlock had broken up and the main roads had been plowed. As you say, I hope never to experience that again! I'm glad you got home safely.Morning MMC! What a night. I left work at 5PM in the snow and to get to my home 7 miles away it took till 10:30PM. I've never seen anything like it. I made the mistake of trying the parkway to get home since I figured my normal backroads would be snow-covered. Unfortunately the traffic where I was driving didn't move...like at all. You'd sit in your car for 30 minutes and not move 2 feet. I've never seen traffic like that and I hope I never do again. Have a great Friday!
