Sorry. My morning post got overlooked. It was prepared but I forgot to place it. Here it is in its entirety:

Good Morning, Final November Weekers.
Yes indeed, my Friends. It's so hard to believe that November is drawing to a close already. Hard also to accept the fact that this is already the 14th day of Christmas Season 2018.
Just think. After today we will have completed a FULL TWO WEEKS of the Christmas Season!

You might find this hard to accept, too:
Days to Christmas Day: 29 (UNDER A SINGLE MONTH to go!!)
Four weeks from tomorrow.
Wowzersville!

Chilly but dry weather yesterday.
Today shows a high close to the mid 60's but with rain, wlhich is falling as I type this.
Our present temperature is 53 degrees, here.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody!
(I'll try to have one even though the Panters have now lost three straight.)

Merry slacker -grinch- kidding of course -smile-
We all appreciate the countdown no matter what time of the day it comes.

Bummer, tonight’s the last night of my 5 day break from work! It always seems, that when you get to the end of the little reprieve you get, you realize it and say to yourself, “what, I gotta go back to work already? Where did the time go?”

I’m telling you, I really feel like calling out tomorrow because I am dreading tomorrow’s Monday morning office meeting in the conference room. The bosses were all away last Tuesday, and two of the employees in the office, got into a really nasty verbal argument to the point that it was becoming dangerously close to them getting into trading blows with each other. It then also simmered all the way into Wednesday. I got sick of it and left the office early. Both of them tried separately for me to take their sides and I just want to keep out of it.

However, if I am asked by the owners, I will say the truth because one was clearly the instigator and was 100% rude, obnoxious, nasty and vulgar to the other one. It’s sad, to have that in the office, it just completely destroys the moral and productivity for the rest of the day. Yup, really dreading tomorrow when they are both sitting at the same table.
not good when stuff like that happens at work. Sometime adults act worse than two year olds fighting over a toy. Hope it all gets resolved peacefully

Well, we spent the day in the ER with Doc. Her UTI is pretty bad and they debated keeping her due to dehydration. After two IV's with antibiotics and medicine to take care of the upset stomach, they decided to send us home. She got in about 6 good hours of sleep at the hospital. She lost 12 pounds since all of this started on Wednesday, but really all of that weight loss is since Friday when she started getting sick. I really feel like she is on the mend, now.

Back to the real world tomorrow. Yall have a great day!
good to hear she is on the mend, give a big hug from me and let her know prayers are going up for her.

Good morning Christmas followers! Its a dark, gloomy, rainy day here with most of our snow melted away. Baby sitting a new recruiter today and raising heck with the paperwork the others think will pass my inspection. I think I will visit Hallmark on my lunch, hope everyone is safe.

We were living in a slushy city yesterday and back to a Winter Wonderland this morning.

The halls of Bear Manor (UK) were decked with boughs of Holly (flllaallallallalaaa), the wrought-iron spiral staircase, (dubbed the "Twistmas Tree"), was tidily strewn with a sparkly LED chain, the world's smallest christmas tree was erected (dubbed the "toilet brush"), and decorated with various trinkets and other frippery - AND all this was done with a backdrop of 80s British Chrimbo ch33ze. Mrs Bear and I then settled down to some intense games of chess, where I was thrashed into check-mate very often. Wonderful to see all the British shops brimming over with Yuletide frivolity.

Next up to decorate this weekend will be Bear Chalet (CH).
it all sounds very festive and wonderful !

Sadly, they decos won't be lit up when most people arrive because I'll be late getting in today. Both cars are in the shop (one due to an accident, the other because of a recall plus a check-engine light), and we're juggling one rental car between us, plus Mr. has to make it to a doctor's appointment this morning. Things are doggone complex right now. I hope they'll settle down quickly.

I remember one year during a bad storm; we wound up with a "brown out" (power loss wasn't everywhere just the hydro grid near the school yard behind our house).

We lit candles and were making shadow figures on the walls trying to make the best of it and then I started singing a song that was more annoying to my family than "The Song that Never Ends".

I sang it with as much of a Southern accent as I could muster - drove everyone crazy - I earned a silver dollar for keeping quiet for 10 minutes.

Hope you got to watch your movies.

my son looked at this post and said, that is exactly what you would do mom ! LOL

Good Morning, Seasoned Travelers.

We press on through Christmas Season 2018 and straight on toward Christmas Day, now closer than you might think.

Today's release:
Days to Christmas Day: 28 (FOUR WEEKS from TODAY!!)
And can you believe that we are now starting the THIRD week of the Season?
Just doesn't seem possible, does it?
Hey! Got any photos for the Blossoms thread to share? It's not to late, you know.

We had a lone warm (albeit wet) day yesterday, but now winter is indicating that it is on the doorstep just waiting to come in. We will have lows in the 20's for the next two nights.
This morning has started off coldish (37 degrees) and we will only reach the mid 40's today.

Have a Terriffic Tuesday, Folks.
And keep enjoying the Season in all of its varied and wonderful aspects!

The way they explained it to me, it was allowing fumes to escape and gasoline to evaporate, so the system flips on the check-engine light. So I guess it really did need repairing. I'm still elated because the fix was so simple and (relatively) quick. (I waited a couple hours for it because I didn't have a scheduled appointment.)

I caught the problem with my husband's car when I was driving it because it didn't "feel right" and was squeaking at turns and starting up from a break position - not the fan belt. It was the right ball joint that had to be fixed, plus mending a slight crack. My windshield wiper issue turned out to be a frozen plunger - my repair was nothing compared to his, but in both cases it was my familiarity with the vehicle and not the warning lights that brought it to my attention.

I used to get the "check engine light" signal whenever I had to stop uphill on a red light - weird - took it in a few times - mechanic checked it real quick - reset it and off I went - had a problem starting it a few times and it turned out that the electronics of my key and the ignition were causing those problems - new set of keys fixed that problem, but since I had to go to the Hyundai dealer and not my mechanic for that service, it cost quite a bit - obviously not as much as a new car.

I'm just happy we have two vehicles and don't ever have to get them serviced at the same time. Strange how we didn't even have a car back in 2012 and now have two of them and I can't seem to live without the convenience and pleasure of driving.

That sounds like a fun event to go to!
Your mom will be there in spirit with you! xx

Well, as your signature suggests ... There seems a magic in the very name of Christmas ~ Charles Dickens ... I'm counting on some merry magic!

Thanks Crown! Hope you found a good Cyber Monday deal!

Merry Monday!

Woke up to a major snow storm blowing through the woods. It was gorgeous out and made me want to go on a sleigh ride. :)

Ended up with 10 inches or more of snow and several fallen tree limbs. Lost electricity for over five hours so that set me way back on all my projects scheduled for today. At least I was home and not out and about in all the mess! I watched it snow and snuggled with Palmer, so it was a very good day!

Have a merry week, my friends!
Wow...that is a lot of snow. Happy to hear you have electricity!

Morning MMC! The Cyber Monday Deals I saw were ok. It seems like Holiday Deals aren't quite as spectacular as they were years ago. Anyone else notice that? I mean like 20% off I can get that any time during the year during various times. Anyway, it was very cool seeing all the lights last night as I drove home. Just another reason I love going back and forth to work this time of year. Have a great day!
I didn't see too many great deals either.
I always take a longer way home this time of the year through another neighborhood to see all the lights.

Our the Old Fashioned Downtown Christmas Walk is coming up this Friday; if the weather cooperates; I'll be there.

It will be the 30th anniversary of this merry event; I'm so pleased that our city has never gotten hit by Humbug of referring to it as "Christmas", 'cause once you light up the downtown tree; you can't call it a "holiday tree" otherwise, they'd leave it up all year and decorate it for other holiday events.

The Town Crier announces the arrival of "the Christmas Season"; lots of people dress up in "Dickens-like" clothes if they have them. They have two horses providing wagon rides from the tree to the end of the street (totally blocked off so people can stroll safely - must watch for horse dropping though - haha - and pick up another set of passengers to bring back in the other direction.
Santa and Mrs. Claus seated by the tree to chat with the children, carolers on every corner, shops with good deals, baked goodies, cider and hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts - icky, Beaver Tails (no not of the animal variety) are offered in most places, 22 Wing & the Salvation Army Bands playing, running into people you haven't seen in a decade; it's usually rather merry.

Might go with a co-worker and her daughter; could be a bit lonely without my mom, but I'm sure I'll feel her close as I explore a few spots that she and I enjoyed together over the years.

we just had our weekend here in Stratford like that. Whole area around market square closed. The was a merry go round, Santa in his sleigh with a real reindeer, food trucks (of course, what is a party with out food eh ) then the parade and the lighting of the tree in front of city hall. so mush fun and so many people. I would post picturees but cannot seem to find them

Merry Tuesday...its a chilly day today...hopefully we may seem some sun later. Typical work day for me and then catching up on laundry. I am going to make pork tenderloin for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

snow storm on the way
car will be fixed today, pick up after work, which means taking the city bus to work this morning. Actually, I don't mind that as I always see so many folks I know on there.
still working on last minute items for wedding, which is only 4 days away !

Hope you all have a fantastically wonderful day, that you all overcome obstacles and are feeling healthy again.

Cars can be both the greatest convenience AND the greatest inconvenience at various times! Having two in the shop simultaneously was not a good feeling; I'm so grateful my repairs were quick and easy.

If we have a prolonged cold spell, our windshield washer lines are prone to freezing up. Then it's off to the dealership to get the lines thawed out and drained, and refilled with some special way-below-zero windshield washer they have there. One of these days I'll get smart and ask them if I can buy a jug of it.

Good morning MMC!! I'm at the old job this morning again! I'll be heading to the new job probably later this morning & for the afternoon.
Don't tell, but I played hooky yesterday afternoon from the new job. My computer there isn't working after an update so they told me I could stay at my old job....the old job thought I was at the new job, so I stayed home & ..... PUT UP MY TREE!!!
:tree:
It was so nice!! But shhhhhh, don't tell!!! ;) I needed that!! Between cleaning out mom/dads house & finding a place at our house for all of the things we are bringing home & all of our funeral gifts - & trying to get caught up at work & trying to get caught up at home, I was stressing about when I was going to have time to put it up! It took me over 6 hours to put up & it is just up with lights, no decorations....but it's up! YAY!!! And I don't have any other decorations up yet either, but I'll get there - eventually!!!

Last night our friend/neighbor brought over a beautiful Christmas pine/cedar centerpiece with a Swarovski crystal snowflake hanging from it & a note that said "snowflakes are kisses from heaven" - and it was snowing outside. Darn she got me going again! Her & I both share a love of Christmas & snow! It was perfect! ♥

Everyone, have a GREAT day!!!!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's finally clear outside, and cold for south Georgia! It was 32°F when I went to work. I even had ice on my windshield...that's almost unheard-of in November!

I blew my chance to shop for Cyber Monday, so I'll have to shop the old-fashioned way; go to the store.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, MMC!!! It’s a snowy morning here in central Indy. Luckily we should only get about an inch. I cleaned up the mess I made while decorating yesterday. Now today I have another Christmas project to knock out and I think I’m going to start wrapping too. I hope everyone has a great day!!
