Glad to hear that! Yes, it was quite windy today. Before I went to work I had to chase my parents trash can after it had been emptiedThank you! She is having a decent day today. We drive the kids to school - it was a little slow go this am, but hopefully it is better now. I'll be going to pick them up shortly. The biggest issue right now is the wind.
Good afternoon everyone! It is quite cold out, but allegedly will be in the 50's later this week. That kind of change in the weather usually makes my sinuses go crazy! We had the most beautiful snow falling last night. It was just a dusting, and is gone now, but boy was it nice to watch. I just made a batch of pecan fudge and will make a batch of reese cup fudge later. I'm starting to fill the freezer with Christmas treats to get ready to mail out to the friends and family that don't live close to me. I usually mail the boxes within the first week of December and I realized that is next week! So I better get moving on those! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!
I love how you are trying to appreciate the beauty of snow (the cold...not so muchI had to travel to a small community 20 minutes away and the old HWY has huge old pines bordering along both sides. If there wasn't such a dull overcast, I would have pulled over and snapped a photo. There will come a time when the sun and the snow blankets on the trees work perfectly and I will capture it.
I realized that some trees just don't seem totally dressed without leaves, needles or snow blankets resting on the branches. Since I can't do anything about the snow and cold choosing to live in the North, I am trying to appreciate the beauty of it.
I have to make some fudge for the potluck lunch next week.
I love how you are trying to appreciate the beauty of snow (the cold...not so much). There is something to be said about snow-covered trees/landscapes/Christmas lights. Still, I wish we had snow only for 3-4 weeks for Christmas. All this early snow in November is not my cup of tea.
Thanks Crown! It was great seeing them put the tree up in NYC yesterday!Good Morning, Friends.
We're grinding out the days, ever advancing toward our ultimate goal, Christmas Day.
Continuing on then with our lone count line:
Days to Christmas Day: 26 (A scant THREE WEEKS and five days left!)
Starting to close in, now!
Cold weather this morning for my trip to the coast.
We show a starting temperature reading of 29 degrees here but from this point forward, we will begin a warming trend which could see us top out in the low to mid 70's by the weekend. (That will be a welcome change!)
Have a Thrilling Thurday, Folks.
Edge will take over for tomorrow morning as I will be at the coast winterizing our cottage.
See you here Saturday!
I hope your heat is up & running! xxMerry Pines Day MMC ~
I have workers here again today, they weren’t able to finish yesterday so we are still without heat. They should complete the job in a few more hours and the heat will be up and running. I have people going in and out of the house so I’m keeping a close eye on Rocky and the kitty cats to make sure they don’t go near the door. Just wanted to pop in quick and wish everyone a nice day!
xx
We haven't been out of the 20's for a few days! Brrrr!Hope the work is done soon!! It sure gets chilly at night and the early morning!
How awesome! Way to go Nancy!!Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!
It's COLD and blustery today, but it's supposed to be almost 80°F this Sunday LOL.
Nancy and I stayed on the road all yesterday evening, and when we finally got home, it didn't take me long to get ready for bed. When I awoke this morning, I found that Nancy had finished all of our Christmas decorating. Bless her!
I hope y'all have a great day!![]()
