Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good morning ~
Merry Tuesday!
It’s going to be mostly sunny today with highs near 40, we’re currently at 21 degrees. I have an appointment today for my second fitting on my mother of the bride gown. My youngest is off today so she’s going to tag along. We plan on grabbing lunch after my appointment and then do some Christmas shopping. That’s about it for me. Hope everyone is well. Good Morning, Folks!

Can we really be at the TWO WEEK mark already?
Fifty-Two down to two?

Well, take a look-see:
Days to Christmas Day: 14
Yep.
Two weeks from today, we will be waking up on Christmas morning.....believe it or not!

We got still more snow yesterday morning, followed by a period of sleet. RDU airport recorded over 10 inches. Exceptionally rare for early December!
But the temps were above freezing which quickly cleared the heavy snow from most of the roads.
I would not consider venturing out this morning though, with our temperature at 31 degrees, owing to black ice. We should reach about 40 later with sun, so there should not be a driving problem.

Happy Tuesday!! Typical work day for me and I am hoping to wrap a few gifts tonight but I will finish up this weekend. I still need to get some stocking stuffers and should get them this week or early next week. Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning MMC! It's a bright, sunshiny COLD day!!! BUT we're supposed to get up to 38º later! Heat wave!!

Went out for beer 'n pizza with the family last night. My bro from MA is leaving today & he won't be back for Christmas this year! It was another night that I didn't get my Christmas up! Ah well - it was fun!

Working both jobs again today, then MAYBE tonight I can get something done at home!! xx

afternoon .. had a very busy weekend wrapping and baking. We even took the kids out Saturday night to look at lights. We went to some areas about 25 minues from us and oh man did they ever impress! One was even decorated like the Griswold house .. https://www.nj.com/expo/news/erry-2018/12/145d9c40421730/homeowner-recreates-griswolds.html the pictures do not do it justice. It looks fantastic in person .. definitely my favorite one that we saw. Still have a lot more wrapping to do. Hoping to be done all the wrapping this weekend. Father time needs to slow it down a bit. Too much to do still and I want to enjoy every minute of it.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's sunny and not quite as cold today. I have one of my office windows open and the slight but brisk breeze feels great!

Nancy and I spent the evening going through old pictures, trying to gather a few pictures for Elizabeth to put in the school's annual since she's a senior this year. I have to admit, it was hard to hide the tears. I wish they were still 6 and 3 years old. Where did the years go?

This calendar is pretty good full of trivia and all kinds of other Christmas info . It was only 9.99 and I’m hoping they keep them coming and this isn’t a one year thing check them out ...

Ah the joy of being awoken at 1:35am by the alarm company at the store telling me there’s a fire alarm that went off and police and firefighters are on their way, only to get there within 15 minutes and not seeing anyone on site, much less any fire, and having to wait forever until someone from the security company shows up so I can go in and have a look (going on 50 minutes waiting now).

ETA: Just spoke with a representative and the guard said he got here a 2:11am and waited until 2:30am, but I was here and saw no one, so I wonder if all this time they were waiting by another entrance to the mall...

Oh yikes!!! Hope you were able to get SOME sleep!!!
