Good afternoon, everyone! Finally caught up here! Happy Epiphany! We were planning on going to church this am, but I was up around 2:30 and didn't get back to sleep until 6:00 - the Prednisone gives me kicks of energy and then I get sleepy again, so I was super tired by the time church rolled around.

DH and I are planning on trying to start taking down some of the Christmas decorations this afternoon, leave the winter ones up, and put the Valentines Day decorations up. DH just made some dough for Chicago deep dish pizza tonight.

I hope you're all having a great Sunday! I'll try and stop back in later!

Shhh ... I am procrastinating the work I'm supposed to be doing. I had errands to run that I didn't finish yesterday.

I made Spinach, Chicken, Green Beans and Cheese Florentine with rainbow Fusilli pasta to warm up for lunches at work and for my husband so he won't starve when I'm not here.

When I was adding to portion containers, a splat landed on the floor and there was O'Malley the cat licking up a bit of sauce and he actually swallowed a piece of spinach. He's a bit "special" that way; thinks he's Italian, but he's supposed to be an Irish cat. Then again, I'm Canadian Irish and I made the pasta. Guess he takes after his mawww, afterall.

He and I becoming tighter than we used to be; my husband's not feeding him in the mornings now, my suggestion because often when he bends over, he lacks the muscle strength in his legs to get back up and will tip over and bang his head or scrape his arms up. He's not nearly as bruised up as he was before we saw his vascular surgeon at the end of October because he's off the Plavix now, but he still bleeds easy. Sometimes, he doesn't give O'Malley the same hearty rubs he used to get first thing in the morning; I'm the gentle massage-type; I try to hearty it up a bit in the morning, but O'Malley doesn't care for my technique.

I made a chicken, peppers and cheese omelet for dinner with mutli-grain toast. It was delicious. I'm trying to put some weight on that man of mine; think I need a chef hat. HaHa.

This song was suggested by the O'Cat.

I'd rather be eating Christmas cookies. +j HaHa

Good Sunday evening! What a busy weekend at work getting things ready for our inventory tomorrow morning. I have zero energy left at this time. I'll be glad when it's all done and over with. Winds have picked up and it will get bitterly cold by tomorrow morning and we're supposed to get snow starting tomorrow night. After a relatively mild and dry December (except when it rained), Winter will be making its presence known. Off to relax and catch up on the dvr for a bit. Have a great evening everyone!

This is why we went to the lowest package possible, to at least get the Pens and Pirates games, plus Penn State, then we bought the Roku's. Research them - the Roku's are a one time few and so worth it. I can also give you info on them, if you'd like, Xmas, just PM me. Where the cost comes in with everything is the internet. We're saving so much money now!
Thank you, I will start looking into that.

I love deep dish pizza, I hope you enjoyed it.

Good evening,
Long day at work, I am feeling it tonight.
I checked out the neighborhood after I turned the outdoor lights on, only one other neighbor still has lights on. The other two are done. I will be the last one this year!
Freeform has Home Alone 2 on at 8:15, maybe that's what we will watch tonight.
I hope you all had a good weekend.
Good night

You're welcome! I'm not sure what provider carries your games there. We have what is called AT&T Network here - it carries the Pittsburgh games, with exception of the Steelers. It doesn't carry all the Pens games, but the majority. That is why we had to keep the lowest cable package, because the NHL Network, blacks out the local games, due to AT&T and the agreement. It's all about the money. Anyway, I still think it's worth it. Like I told DH, in the long run, we are saving so much money and you figure, it's just like a phone or a computer, we'll have the devices and won't need to replace it for years. I like the boys will love it - there are so many things for them to do on it. The kids are loving it already. Mostly everything is free or there may be some apps you just have to put your cable provider in or may cost a few bucks.

We did - it was excellent! DH found it on Pinterest. It was Bobby Flay''s recipe. I think we've only ever found one recipe on there we haven't liked. If you and your wife aren't on there, sign up. It's so worth it!

Good evening! DH and I are just sitting watching the Pens game. We took the Christmas decor down, left the winter decor up, and put up Valentine's Day. Not much on the agenda tonight otherwise. Once I take my meds, I won't make it long. Hope you all have a great rest of your evening!

Howdy all!
Well.... we are officially all de-Christmased. Finished taking down the outside stuff today. Few things are more depressing to me than the Christmas tree out by the curb.... But we are moving forward and plans have started for next Christmas season already. Plus the countdown has just started, mind as well enjoy the ride! Have a great night all.

A year ago Friday, I did the same thing with one of my brothers and four of his friends who came to my dads to help go through photos. We had a great time sharing memories and choosing photos to share at her celebration of life. It was a great bonding time.
Thinking of you and your relatives.
Thank you! My mom told us a story about how when he was 2 months old she was baby sitting him while he was hooked up to all his monitors (he was born with lymphodema). He was sitting in the swing and my mom would crank it to start it amd then he would put his hand out and stop it...then he would cry. He thought it was a game and laughed when she restarted the swing

We watched the Eagles game with Mikes parents tonight. I cheered for them even though I'm a Pats fan. My cousin was a huge Pats fan but cheered for the Eagles during certain games. I think he may have helped the Eagles out tonight to maybe have a Super Bowl rematch. I'm sorry to all the Bears fans though

I was told back in December by a friend, that I restored her Christmas spirit for the first time in years. She had lost it due to family issues. She told me because of my love for Christmas, wearing Christmas sweaters, socks, and shirts and talking about my love of all things Christmas it made her happy Christmas was around again, she tearfully thanked me for restoring her Christmas spirit. She said she couldn't wait until next Christmas to decorate the outside of her house with her husband and kids. We are already talking about competing against each other on whose house looks better.
I want to thank the MMC community for keeping my Christmas spirit strong, that's what Christmas is all about to me. helping others in ways you dont know.
Have a good night

That's heartwarming! How wonderful that your joy for Christmas was bringing joy to others.

So - the tree and decorations are now down. Was hardly there during December, so didn't feel like I missed much. The next Christmas will be resplendent with yuletide frivolity - am going to make it a banger.

big love.

Happy Monday MMC! 1st one of the year. We love Mondays don't we? December 23rd is a Monday this year. I'm gonna take that off. Ok before that though I do have other Mondays off :). But just going to be a crazy busy week at work (worse than usual). Should be fun...or we always make it fun where I work that's why the people I work with are like my best friends. Have a great Monday!

Good Morning, Last Day'ers.
<< "Last Day'ers", Crown? >>
Yes. Last day of the first week of 2019.

And it's also the last day of a double-digit count to our first Milestone marker of the new year.
Days to the Season: 310
Days to Christmas Day: 352
Yes, our first number clearly confirms that, as of tomorrow, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 300-day Season Window, succeeded immediately by the start of a 200's level Season count.
(Barely started the new year and already we have some excitement in the air!)

Pleasant weather here yesterday. No rain, plenty of sun and highs well into the 60's.
It will be chilly today, then warm again for tomorrow before cooler weather sets in on Wednesday for possibly a prolonged stay.
We start this first full week of 2019 at 44 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!
