Good Morning, All.

We have commenced the second half of our weekend.
And we have begun the home stretch to our next Milestone marker.

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 248
Days to Christmas Day: 290

And 2019 Milestone number four, the 1/3 point to the Christmas Season?
Just FIVE days away now, Folks.
(If you don't believe it, just check the chart.)

Last chilly day yesterday. Some rain, too.
Today will see a substantial warm-up, with our high predicted at 74 degrees, and only a 20 percent chance of rain.
Our current reading? Well, that's 55 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone!

Well hello everyone.

Not too much going on around here. Lots of rain and wind.

Last week was not much fun, I had a nasty stomach virus, but all seems better now.

This week looks to actually be a full week of school. However, it will still be interrupted because the juniors have to take the ACT on Tuesday. So I will be missing 2 of my classes completely and 2 others will have several students missing. A couple of years ago the state of Ohio passes an idiotic law that requires all high school juniors to take the ACT. Of course this is paid for by the school districts. There are soooo many problems with the idea, but oh well.

Everyone have a great Sunday, try to get some extra rest to make up for the lost hour of sleep.

Thanks Crown! Have a nice Sunday even though its shortened by 1 hour.

Happy Sunday!

We had some pretty snow falling during breakfast. Just an inch or two expected today, but it's nice to look at because it's freshening up the old, dirty snow from last week. It's supposed to turn to rain later in the day, so I'm enjoying the view while I can. It's nice reflect that it'll soon be giving way to green grass and spring flowers!

Good Sunday morning! David woke me up around 4:30am because I was having a nightmare and kept screaming, but I managed after an hour to go back to sleep until 9am, but of course my body still thought is 8am. This Winter just is.not.letting.go! It will snow all day here and they predict 15-20cm. I'm just glad I got all my errands done yesterday and can stay in today. I just filed our income taxes and we'll be getting a nice refund. We need new Summer tires so that will come in handy. Now onto chores and laundry. Have a nice day everyone!

Morning MMC! This is the Last Full Week Of Winter! That's great news to a guy like me who dislikes that season more than the other 3 (except of course when the Christmas Season goes through the early stages of winter). Oh and I also have a full week this week but then working only Mon-Wed the next 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to having my own version of spring break as it's been a long winter of working since we had time off for the holiday season. Have a great Monday!

Merry Monday!
It’s going to be a nice day, mostly sunny with highs near 50. Rocky has a groomer appointment this morning. I’m going to run a couple of quick errands while he’s there and then we’ll head back home. I’ll just be working on some chores around the house this afternoon and I’m going to make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!
xx

Good morning MMC....I am bringing Andre (my boxer) to the vet at 11. I am afraid he is getting near the end. He has been losing weight and they put him on some meds and prescription food but he is still losing weight. Last night he started coughing so I am afraid it may be his heart. Poor guy, he is 10 which is considered older for a boxer. I just don't want him to suffer, he is such a wonderful dog. If you could keep him in your prayers and thoughts I would appreciate it...I will update later.

I know I am almost a week behind, so I apologize, but just know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, SFM.

Thank you for the prayers. Unfortunately, we have to bring Andre back at 4pm so they can put him to rest. The vet said he definitely has some fluid in his lungs and recommends we take the necessary steps sooner than later. My girls wanted to see him before we did anything....I know it is the right thing to do but certainly doesn't make it any easier...:(

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss of Andre. Bless his heart and yours, too. Keeping your you and your family in my prayers. A pet is truly part of the family. (((hugs)))

Hello from Chicago! It's been a while since I have posted. I noticed Hallmark is showing their Christmas movies, I don't remember them doing this before. Over all a pretty average winter here other than the Vortex. hope everyone is well!

Yes! They are showing a different Christmas movie, every Friday at 8 pm!

A couple of years ago the state of Ohio passes an idiotic law that requires all high school juniors to take the ACT. Of course this is paid for by the school districts. There are soooo many problems with the idea, but oh well.

We have that in Tennessee too. Tomorrow Juniors will take the ACT, Freshmen are on a field trip, & Seniors get an "Independent Study Day". I guess the Sophomores just do the best they can...

Gearing up for a busy, stressful week. I am out of town Thursday & Friday for work. Friday night I drive home two hours from that & DH drives us three hours to Atlanta for band competition. DD will be on the band bus, which leaves at lunch on Friday. Our band performs at 8:00 a.m. I have to get our weekend bags packed before I go on my work trip. I'll try to start on that tonight so I'm not going crazy Wednesday night.

I hope everyone has a good week!

Good Morning, Valiant Voyagers.
Yes, we relentlessly and fearlessly press onward day by day until our ultimate destination is reached.

Let's check the navigation chart:
Days to the Season: 247
Days to Christmas Day: 289

And the ship's log reveals that we are now just FOUR days away from our next port-of-call, the ONE-THIRD point to Christmas Season 2019 and the beginning of quarter number two.
(Moving right along now under a fair wind with all sails spread!)

We had an early taste of spring yesterday, as our afternoon topped out at 68 degrees with all the sun we could ask for and nothing more than gentle breezes.
Today will see a very slight cool-down for the high, before we drop into the low 40's tonight.
This brand new Milestone-containing week has commenced here in the capital city at 58 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

Merry Sunday!
It’s cool, breezy and raining here this morning. I’m just having my coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet, my husband and daughter are still asleep. I already straightened up and started laundry. I’m going to take a ride out at some point to get my mother a birthday gift, her birthday is in a couple of days. Other than that it should be a relaxing day. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Happy early Birthday to her!

Good morning, MMC! I've been absent for a few - work has been kind of crazy, as well as family life. Day off here, but I have my niece today and also have a dentist appointment this afternoon. Not too much else planned. It's a beautiful day!

Hope you're all doing well! Have a great day!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

What an eventful weekend we had!
  • Friday, Elizabeth won first place in region Girl's Solo Singing, first in region Duet Interpretation (acting), and second in region Girl's Trio Singing, so now we're off to state competition this Wednesday.
  • Friday night, Jacob's University Singers had a wonderful concert that we attended at his university.
  • Saturday, Elizabeth's dance group won the region for a national dance competition, and Sunday they did almost as well!
I'm so proud of my kids!!

Now for the bad.

I got a call Friday night from the Sheriff's Dept. in Maggie Valley, NC (where my mom has a vacation home). Some neighbors noticed some people going into mom's house and called the police, who apprehended them. They had obviously been staying there for a few days, and had TRASHED the place; food on the floor and in the beds, dirty clothes and underwear all over the place, cigarette butts all over and cigarette-burned carpeting, etc.:mad::mad: They had hung blankets over the windows so no one could see the lights on. They damaged the back door breaking in, too.

I drove the 5.5 hours up there Saturday morning, 9mm on my side, bleached the entire place, and threw out all of their belonging and all of our bed sheets, pillows, etc. I also found knives and drugs. The police had overlooked these. I called the sheriff's office to see what to do with the drugs, and they said to just throw them out! o_O It took me six hours to clean the place, then 5.5 hours back home. Then the time changed.

It's not a big, fancy log cabin, it's just a single-wide mobile home on a 1/2 acre cow pasture lot, but we've loved it for almost 15 years, and we keep it spotless. Now it smells like cigarettes and crack-head.:mad:

We have a contractor making some repairs this week, then I'm going up to install an alarm system. I've tried to pray for their conversion, but, honestly, I'm just too angry.

Anyway, here's hoping the rest of my week is better. The kids are having a great week LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! :)
