Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be another cloudy day with showers, temperatures in the mid 60’s. My oldest has off today so we’re going to have lunch together and do some shopping. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I’m going to grill chicken for dinner along with roasted potatoes and a tossed salad. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
xx

Good Morning, Folks!

The entire first half of our journey to Christmas Season 2019 is coming to a close soon.
Amazing, isn't it?

Days to the Season: 195
Days to Christmas Day: 237

We are now UNDER 2 weeks away from the above mentioned half-way Season point. Will wonders never cease?
(I certainly hope not!)

Our warm but dry weather continues, and we again marched well into the 80's yesterday.
We shall return to that level again for today through Saturday before we cool off a bit for Sunday and perhaps get some rain.
For now, we have started off this post-'Pines/pre-Weekend Eve day at 67 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina.

Have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday, Everybody!

Thanks Crown! Happy May Day!

We have more flood warnings for my neck of the woods. The creek seems to be running at the usual level. It's more of a concern for the outskirts, farms and cottage areas.

I haven't been well for the last 6 days; time to see someone about it; I don't catch "bugs" or viruses; I have a strong immune system, but I have to go back to work and my bowels are telling me otherwise.

Happy Pines Day!
Really hope you feel better soon Auntie.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

If any of you need CPR, just call me...I'm an expert!

My brother and I met Jacob at the movie theater to see the new Avengers movie last night. It was pretty good, but it sure was long!

Planning to mow the lawn today. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Tuesday evening! I worked the afternoon/evening shift and can’t settle my mind yet to go to sleep. I got a call from our District Manager tonight asking me about a health and safety point that stores have lost during audits and I am frustrated to see that they are adding procedures that they never taught us or that are not written anywhere in our program and I’m having to scramble to fix things at the last minute. Hopefully I’ll calm down soon enough and go to sleep. Thank you for letting me rant.
And I hope everyone is well and has enjoyed a nice day.
I prescribe a Nerf mallet vigorously applied to the top of your noggin. I don't know about its sleep inducing properties, but it will lighten your disposition and mood.:p

Your strong immune system has been battered by a stressful, less than regular life. Time to head to the doctor for a tune - up.

We just went to see Avengers Endgame and I echo your impressions of the movie.

Me too; it's been crazy; far too many trips to the lieu and I'm ready for a nap by noon.

Secretary squeezed me in under the circumstances and my doctor prescribed Melatonin to aid in a restful sleep and blood work and stool samples in case I picked up something nasty at the hospital. Quite possible.

If we rule out a virus, then we can look at anxiety treatment. I don't feel anxious in my head, but my body might be screaming for help that my mind hasn't recognized it needs yet.

Managed to make it through another day at work.

I feel your pain. We were about to celebrate our 11th year of no lost-time accidents here (it's the best record in the company), when one of our guys hurt himself. It wasn't very bad, but it was enough that he couldn't work for a couple days. We had already ordered the plant-wide safety awards and a catered dinner. Ugh.

That is such a bummer and seems like the way stuff always happens.

O'Malley the cat has taken to wet food all of a sudden. He would never eat it before and the VET said it's more filling than kibble so he should have a small can once a day and a quarter of a cup of kibble. That never happened because he would eat a few bites and walk away and not eat it again.

Tonight he at the whole small can in two stages.

I'll start giving him the wet food in the morning and the kibble mid-day if I'm around or in the evening.

I also bought him a new toy. He doesn't use his spinning ball toy much, but sometimes when he's frustrated he'll go bat the ball around.

I bought him a triple decker one with three rings and three balls so he can amuse himself with less company during the day than he used to have.

I have to run to the grocery store - be back later.

Stay Jolly!

I made it through a full day of work. See my doctor tomorrow.

My car sounds awful. I think it's the muffler - could be a hiccup in the engine. Taking it in on Monday after work. I'll use my husband's car in the mean time.

It sounds like a Charger or Datsun, but it's a Hyundai - no indicator lights to hint at what it is - perhaps I didn't have my music loud enough and it's all good.

Tasting mysterious somethings at the Pines. Doesn't taste like chicken.

God Bless, Auntie - you have a lot going on right now. I'm thinking of you!

Good evening all. It's been a busy few days at work, but I am off the next 7 days and looking forward to it. We don't have anywhere special to go, but have some nice stuff planned. I hope to be able to hit the hay early tonight, as it's been an exhausting weekend/week of work.

Thinking of you all who need prayers and who aren't well! Have a good night!

I just found out I have 20 unused vacation days from a snag in our system when we switched our fiscal year to run April to April; several of us lost out on the calculation of our incurred vacations from Dec. the end of Mar. I have to take them before the end of March 2020; I also have 28 new vacation days that she suggested I put on the back burner and use the old ones first.

I thought there was a glitch I lost days from this year, but it turns out they hadn't put my new ones in the system yet. YABBA!

I can use some of the old ones to cover some of my time off work lately because we only receive three bereavement days (although I'll add a few personal days in there).

Maybe I can plan to join my dad for a two week trip in the Fall. I know a cat lady who currently has no cats and I'm sure she'd take good care of O'Malley if I decide to go.

Speaking of which, I better call Sandy and tell about Gary, she had a little crush on him.

I went to the mall to give a donation to Crime Stoppers for their jailathon thing at the mall where you try and help bail a local celebrity out of jail. Most of them weren't known to me they were paramedics, firefighters and police officers mostly.

Did a little grocery shopping and bought two gifts for a co-workers baby and a gift for the sibling; I'll buy more once I know the gender of the baby and I shop with better intent if I have a name in my head.

I hadn't checked in with the forum in quite some time. Forgot the "1s" count to the season had started!
