Happy Marvelous May MMC! We are really enjoying this month I think. It's going to be another beautiful day here. The heat hasn't rushed in this year. It's been nice to not go right to the hot weather yet. And we've gotten more sun than rain this week for a change. Have a great Marvelous May!

Merry Morning

Might get some rain later, but the sun is out now.

Have a meeting this morning and a work deadline this afternoon.

Happy Pines Day! +j Wonder what snacks we'll share.

Stay jolly! +l

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
It’s going to be a really nice day, mostly sunny with a high of 70 degrees. I have to make a Target run this morning and Rocky has a veterinarian appointment later this afternoon. I’ll be working on chores in between. Dinner will be spaghetti & chicken parm. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well. See you tonight!
xx

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

My proposed $700,000 office renovation and expansion was approved by the corporate office last week! Our main office was built in the mid-80's, and its pretty small, so a few of us have been working in an office trailer beside the main office. This has really been needed, but I've been told for more than a year that corporate would never approve that kind of expense. Ha!

Of course, now I have to execute the plan. It'll be fun, though, to do something different. Oh, and...my new office is as large as the general manager's new office LOL! :D

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, Christmas Crazies and Season Seekers!

Our daily journey is fun, thanks in large part to our set of Milestone markers, points of interest to make the journey more interesting.
And the next of these little stops is coming up fast. We will review the itenerary after the daily figures are presented.

Days to the Season: 175
Days to Christmas Day: 217

OK.
Marker number nine. It will be here in just 17 days. Under 2 1/2 weeks up the road.
It is, of course, the Two Hundred Day Christmas Day Window, after which BOTH of our count numbers will start with a "1".
(And that could be the start of a quickening pace back to our holiday of choice!)

Pleasant here yesterday, with even more pleasant conditions predicted for today when we are supposed to top out at 83 degrees, with low humidity.
Great morning to get that lawn mowed, which I will get to very shortly!
We are currently at 65 degrees here under a slightly cloudy sky.

Speaking of skies, they are bright and sunny at the 'Pines this morning and Carl's mood matches the conditions! In fact he's feeling so good, he's making the first TWO fired twinkies complimentary.
Now next Wednesday will be the grand opening of the 'Pines pool. That always means fun and hijinks, so don't miss it.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, my friends.
Enjoy your day and we will see you at the S.P. this evening!

You da man Bradmac!!!

I was just looking through my team's PTO calendar. I saw a couple people have put in for Christmas time off. So I just put mine in for the day after Christmas until after New Years. Felt good to be thinking about the big day!

Good afternoon .. been busy this week at work and at home and today is no exception. Hubby has a softball game tonight and my son had drumline practice for the marching band. Got to fit in a grocery store strip and dinner somewhere. Have a great day!

I know what you mean. I get orders from the power companies for projects that will ship in the Fall, and I just smile.
:)

Good Morning MMC !

I miss you guys so much...it has been crazy here looking after my aging mom, keeps me hopping, but I do love looking after her !
I finally got a new van, 2012 Dodge grand caravan. My wonderful sister gave it to me. So nice to drive.
Hoping last nights frost was the last we will see for the season. Looking forward to starting my garden.
Praying you all are doing well and praying harder for all of you that are facing struggles.

Jack Frost refuses to give up to Spring, this year....

Merry Pines Day all!

Well, only 2 more days of school to go! They are very boring days because it is just giving exams, but still, the end is nigh.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. It is still rainy here in Ohio. My backyard is still swamp like, especially since I cannot get outside to mow it because it is never dry enough to mow. Oh well.

Have a great evening!

Hello all!
We just back from Detroit and the Motor City Comic Con. It was quite crowded yesterday, but fun. The best was we got to meet John Cleese and get his autograph. He was very nice and polite. I have always been a big fan. Fawlty Towers is one of my favorite shows of all-time.

We wanted to meet Tom Ellis, who is now famous for the show Lucifer, but we are fans of his from his role on the British show Miranda. However, we did not want to get his autograph, just a selfie and to say hi. My wife even made a shirt that had a quote from the show on it. Unfortunately he was not doing selfies and the Con would not allow meet and greets without paying for an autograph.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. This week is my last week of school. Monday and Tuesday are regular days and then Wednesday through Friday are exams. Friday is an early dismissal for students, but teachers have to stay until 9PM. :( Oh well, then the school year is over. I am quite ready for summer break. This has been a LONG year. It is time to recuperate and then make some changes for next year.

Everyone have a great evening and start to the new week!

Enjoy your time off this summer!

Oh yes, I'm an eclectic listener. I have my own office now, but when I used to share it with someone else, I hoped they wouldn't complain about the tunes playing softly in the background. The mix would include a few Christmas tunes and anything from Muddy Waters to CCR, to the Rat Pack, to Springsteen, to Elton John, to Pink and a bunch of stuff in between.

My former office mates would say, "Wow, you're quite the eclectic listener" as a Frank Sinatra song would follow Lady Gaga.

You would be a good programming director! :)

Good morning all! Another warm day here. Near 90F for a high. But at least I'm in a nice cool office for most of the day. And I'm starting to get a chest cold. What's up with that?
Be blessed!

I hope you are better soon!

Greetings Merry Folk!

Good quick trip to London. Picked up an older cousin in Barrie on the way to London and took the back way so we'd have more of a scenic route instead of playing cat, mouse and chicken on the 401.

Lots of freshly turned and manured fields - ew - minimal road kill; the return trip was better until it started to rain.

Mostly sunshine on this weekend adventure and a really good visit with good conversation and food.

Were there any signs of Christmas? Yes, thanks for asking. My cousins club house has multi-coloured Christmas lights stung up along the inside. Of course I offered the countdown number. And a farm on route had a festive wreath and hemp-like twine and red garland strung along the wooden fence near the driveway.

We hardly heard the music because the volume was minimal so we could chat on the drive. We seemed to veg more on the last hour of our return trip.

My dad let me drive from Huntsville to North Bay so I could get comfortable with his car for our trip to the East Coast in the summer.

It's a Toyota, no problem. I suggested taking my car (secretly because I wanted access to Sirius) because I have an enclosed trunk and he has a hatchback. He wants his car because he finds it roomier for the cat that we are taking to Cape Breton. Not my boy. I will find a friend to take him for two weeks or spend the money ($38.00+ for each of 10 days) to let him go to the Cats on Cann Lake cattery where he doesn't have to socialize with the other cats if he can't handle it and he will get some 1:1 time with a trained cat carer.

That means taking him to Muskoka which is out of our way, but we can cut through Algonquin Park toward Ottawa.

Between the two of us driving we only need a sleepover in Montreal and one in New Brunswick before we reach our destination. On the way back, we might take in Old Quebec City cross over to Toronto to visit my brother before picking up the cat. My dads cat will stay in Cape Breton with his neighbours and return with them in late September.

I hope Sandy will take O'Malley so he doesn't have to endure the car ride to Muskoka, and I know it would be easier to have someone check in on him at home, but I don't trust anyone to do that.

He was sure happy to see me when I came through the door last night. He ate all the food in the second feeding station and hardly touched the food that was in his regular spot.

Not much going on today, going to make some homemade soup for lunches during the week and maybe go for a drive.

Stay jolly! -lights-

I hope you find the perfect place for O'Malley!

Good morning, everyone! Can't believe we're only one week away from Memorial Day! Not much going on today. DH is teaching this morning and plans to hopefully be home by lunchtime, so I'm not sure what we'll do after that, but we do have our niece today as well. After the kids get home, we may have to run DS to get an x-ray of his wrist. We were sitting last night with our best friends and all the sudden hear the cry and death scream you never want to hear from your child - he was just swinging on his swing, apparently went to high and flipped himself backwards. I thought by the way he was laying there and couldn't move he hurt his neck, but thankfully, he is just complaining about his right forearm and wrist area. I don't see a deformity, bruising or any swelling at all, so that leads me to believe it's not fractured, but he is having trouble using it and he is still in a lot of pain, which he could have a hairline fracture - happens a lot with kids and my daughter now has had two of them, which no noticeable injury at all, so if he is still in pain after school today, off to get an x-ray we go!

Hope you all have a great Monday! I'll check back in later!

I hope DS will be alright!

Take care of that cold. Mr. is still getting over a nasty one from last week.

I hope Mr. is better soon!

Happy Milestone Day, Christmas friends!

It's a milestone for us, anyway. Elizabeth graduated high school yesterday! Not only is that the end of her grade school education, it's the end of 18 years of tuition for me and Nancy! Jacob started there in 2001.

Of course, Jacob's college tuition is about the same as private grade school tuition (since Georgia offers lottery-funded scholarships) and he gets an allowance from us. Elizabeth's full-ride scholarship means we won't have to pay college tuition, but we'll be paying her rent, meals and gas for a while.

When I think about it, I guess I'm not really saving any money. o_O Oh, well.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Congratulations to Elizabeth!

DD graduated 8th grade on Friday. Just four more years! You all know how I hate school. We'll leave on Wednesday to go camping for a week, then back for DD's birthday & VBS. The rest of June looks uneventful and I'll be glad for a rest.

Congratulations to DD!

The test went well, thank you both!
xx

I'm glad it went well!

Terrific Tuesday - my Monday as I was off yesterday for Victoria Day; went for a short drive; the weather wasn't the best chilly with light rain, but the HWY was really wet from the short downpour before I headed out.

O'Malley cat and I hung out together a bit yesterday in the late afternoon. He's always around, but he was much closer to me and I got on the mattress with him for a bit and gave him a nice rub.

Last night, shortly after I went to bed, I awoke from a nightmare; I had been moaning and saying, "Get away!" as I woke. O'Malley was in the doorway keeping an eye on me to make sure I was okay. Weird dream, shadows were after me and it didn't help that when I woke up I saw a shadow in my room, but it was from the fan rotating that cast a shadow on the ceiling and wall from the light coming through the window. Slept pretty good after that.

Have a follow-up with my doctor later today, but I already know the test results were fine.

Keep a merry thought in your head! -reindeer-

Aw, O'Malley is such a sweetie! I'm glad you were able to sleep after the nightmare!

Good morning MMC!
It’s going to be sunny & breezy today with highs near 70, we’re currently at 58 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having a cup of coffee right now. I’m going to start cooking breakfast in a few minutes. I have to do some food shopping this morning and Rocky has a groomer appointment after lunch. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry. I’d love to sneak a nap in if I could but we’ll see. One of my cats likes to wake me up around 3:00am and I’ve been having a hard time falling back to sleep. Anyway, that’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!!!
xx

I hope you are able to get a nap in!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

It's hot! And getting hotter!
