And our quarry is just ahead. Practically behind the next bush!

Today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 133
Days to Christmas Day: 175

And those elusive single digits?
Well, they will be here THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, and they count the distance from now to the TWO-THIRDS Milestone marker to Christmas Season 2019!

Again miserably hot and humid here yesterday with our high reaching 95.
Today is predicted to be even hotter (97) before we taper off a bit to round out the week.
Our current back yard reading is 78 degrees at this early hour and the daily humidity has already arrived to make its presence felt.

But the weather matters little to Carl and crew. They have a job to do and it's to enterain us at our inn of choice, the Shispering Pines.
Summer is in full swing there now, with all the decor in place and the summer beverage blends prepared and ready for sampling. There is even a rumor afloat that there is a special "summer season" fired twinke to be debued tonight.
And as far as entertainment is concerned, Carl and O'Malley have had their heads together for the last several days and you know what that likely means.
I, for one, can't wait to find out! (Or can I?)

Good Wednesday morning! We’re dealing with very hot and humid temperatures here but the sun is out and after the horrible Winter and rainy Spring we had, we can’t complain. I’m off to the doctor’s this morning for an annual appointment and then I’m off to work. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well. For the first time ever, I watched the CIJ on QVC yesterday. Although, I realized quite quickly that I had to record it and then watch it on my own so I can fast forward through a lot of it. I'm sorry, but spending 25 minutes talking about a brownie or a cookie is a bit excessive! There are only so many adjectives you can use!! I did make a few small purchases though. It was nice to see some Christmas stuff; even if it was 89 degrees out! Today was a favorite of mine because our local Ballet company put their Nutcracker tickets on sale this morning at 10:00am. I always have it marked in my phone. What I don't like though, is that when I log on, immediately the first 9 or 10 rows are already sold out so they must do Pre-sales to "VIP" people, and clearly I am not "VIP" to them! I did get us tickets though. It is a tradition for us; one of my favorites. Problem is, my husband is getting laid off from his job in September (which is awful, he has been there 10 years and now they are shipping his job and about 50 others overseas) so hopefully he will have a new job by Christmas. Problem is, I don't know what his new job schedule would be; so he may not be able to go for the date I bought the tickets. If he can't go, I'll drag someone else with me and get tickets for me and him. It wouldn't be Christmas without "dragging" my hubby to the ballet with me; and if I get to go twice this year then that is just a bonus!

So sorry to hear about your husband's job. Praying he is able to find something quickly soon.

How true! Maybe I left it out too, because I knew how stressful it was going to be. He can NEVER decide on anything. He's so indecisive. He says he wasn't that way with me and looking back, truthfully he wasn't. That's the only thing in life I remembering him not being! LOL

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I spent yesterday afternoon vacuuming the crazy pool, and again at daylight this morning, but it's looking much better now. We're supposed to leave for vacation this week, but I have to have it ready for our niece and her boys LOL.

Lulu has hurt herself, I think from jumping off the bed or the sofa. She's obviously in pain, but she walks well, so I don't think anything's broken. She just can't jump up on the sofa or in your lap, as usual. I think maybe she just strained a muscle...I hope. We're going to the vet this afternoon.

Awww hope Lulu will recover quickly. Same thing happened to Loki a while back. He miscalculated jumping onto the lay-z-boy and let out a yelp. For a few days he wouldn’t jump and was cautious going up and down the stairs.

Thanks, y'all! Yeah, by the time we got to her appointment, she was almost doing acrobatics for the vet. Of course LOL. He gave us some ibuprofen and sent us home. I am just so happy she's ok!

Hope everyone enjoys their holiday!!! I’ll be at work in the retirement community. We’re having a week with a lot of sad things happening that I’m responding to, so the Christmas cheer here is magical thanks for being my pick me up!! Happy Pines Day!! I hope Carl has a holiday themed drink and perhaps some red white and blue fired twinkies to share!!

As I mentioned above, Lu is feeling a lot better, which makes me feel better.

And the pool is finally clear again; just in time for us to leave for vacation. I replaced the sand in the filter yesterday. It's a bit of a job, and I'm scratched and bruised, but I'm glad it's done. Now I'm shocking the snot out of it!

Happy Wednesday!!
My daughter's softball team won the district championships! Yay!!
Now we are onto Sectionals, which start Sunday but should be over by Wednesday. I am not sure how far they will go, I think they will have some tougher competition but we'll see...
We are going to my friend's house tomorrow for the beach, cookout and fireworks. We will come back on Friday.
