I have learned that mixing decaf coffee with regular coffee leaves an unpleasant aftertaste; it's like my world is colliding inside my mouth even with the added vanilla, carmel creamer.

I've been awake since shortly after 3:00 half cat and half hamstring related. I'm sure the pain in my leg has to do with dancing at the Elton concert - should have hurt prior to yesterday, maybe my body needs more dancing.

Happy Tuesday!! I am hearing rain for Halloween...hopefully it will not be too bad for the trick or treating. Work for me and then we are headed to a soccer game tonight. Hope you all enjoy your day!

Days to Halloween: 2 (THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!)
Days to the Season: 15 (TWO weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 57 (Eight weeks from tomorrow!)
(Not much time left before the action starts, is there!)
Still very nice for this time of the year.
Yesterday showed highs in the mid 70's and we had another clear, rain-free day.
Today and tomorrow will see us in the low 70's before the 80's (and rain) return for Halloween, then the bottom drops out.
Our present thermometer reading is 59 degrees here in the capital city.

I’m heading out soon to walk the dogs. It’s going to be cloudy with a high of 61 degrees. I have to pick up a few things at the supermarket later. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. And I think I’m going to start a menu plan and grocery list for Thanksgiving. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Good, wet Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!
As implied, it's really raining this morning. I was in a meeting in the main office this morning. When the meeting was over, I tried to walk back out to my office trailer with my laptop, but had to get a trash bag to keep it from getting wet. I sure will be glad when my new office is finished.
I think we're planning to have Thanksgiving at our house this year! It will be the first time, but Nancy and I are trying to find a way to spend time with both of our families on "neutral" ground, where everyone will feel at home. I hope it works!
And I hope y'all have a great day!

I see some people wait until the start of the official MMC Christmas Season to start listening to Christmas music. Oh, that I had that kind of willpower
Christmas music starts in my house November 1st, this Friday!
I originally had Friday off, to ease into the season listening to the music I've missed so much since last December 25th (I can't listen to Christmas music on Dec 26, makes me miss the holiday too much). But, work-related issues necessitate I be there Friday.
That's okay, it doesn't change the fact the Holiday Season music starts in a short, few days

The most beautiful Tuesday here today. Sun shining, sky blue but a frost on the ground a my absolute favourite!

Good Tuesday morning! What a beautiful day this will be. Could almost go outside without a coat it is so warm. I’m currently at the periodontist for a follow-up while David is at his ergo/physio appointments. Then we have to go grocery shopping because there’s no food left at our place.
I’m all set for Halloween, found the perfect beard for my lumberjack outfit. When I put it on, I had to send a picture to my brother because I really looked like him. He thought it was hilarious.
I have two weeks of vacation to take in November. Originally I was set to take the last two weeks after my colleague but je was transferred to another store, so now I can chose to split my weeks throughout the month or keep the last two as planned. I’m still weighing my options.

I ran some errands this morning and ended up stopping by at Hobby Lobby. Big mistake. All Christmas stuff was 50% off. I don't have the willpower for that! But, I hoard all of my gift cards received throughout the year because I know that I will have to buy a few new Christmas things. I made it out of there with 9 ornaments and a glass framed Grinch picture with him saying the "perhaps Christmas doesn't come from a store..." phrase. All for $33.00! Not too bad, and it all fit on a gift card I had with room to spare! That means a return visit in my future!
