Good Merry Morning The snow has fallen ...

The trees look like the flocked ones you can buy - only these ones are real. Scattered snow everywhere and it's blowing with the sound of icy pellets hitting the ground. Sounds like someone unleashed a ton of pop rocks - sizzling in the air.

I imagine the school buses will be cancelled today; they hardly ever run on the first snowfall especially with icy conditions on the roads and highways.

What do you know; another weekend is upon us as is the post Halloween feeling that builds on the excitement of Christmas readiness.

Happy November Arrives MMC! Wow Halloween was fun. Imagine how fun it might be the next 2 years when it's on a weekend? Might be even better! Today we have a chilly day but nothing too crazy. Just cooling off November style after a mild and rainy Halloween. Have a great November Arrives TGIF!

Cheerful Nov 1st MMC! Its official...Halloween was a complete washout for us, high winds and constant rain made for some unhappy kids.

Merry Halloween!

My brother had an oncology appointment today and as usual there was good news/bad news. The good news is that the chemo/immunotherapy are working wonders on the lungs, lymph nodes, and bones (YAY!!). However, we got confirmation today that it isn't working on the brain. The oncologist said that there was brain damage and that could be one of the reasons why Ralph isn't eating and is refusing his therapy. He got a stern lecture from his doctor about what he needs to do to get better, so hopefully he understands and will cooperate with his care team. He will be off the chemo for up to two more weeks so he can gain strength and then he will be put back on at a reduced dose.
I wanted to thank all of you for the positive thoughts and prayers ~ they are working! xx

Have a safe and fun Halloween! I'm staying in as there is wind, rain, and snow in the forecast. I foresee Christmas movies, hot chocolate, and maybe even a nap in my future.

I hope things improve as quickly as possible for you and the family. That's a tough time.

Happy first day of November!!!
My Halloween decorations are down and I’ll be putting up Thanksgiving decor at some point today. I have a chiropractor appointment later this morning. I plan on stopping at the pet store and butcher afterward. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. And my youngest is coming over for dinner tonight, it will just be the two of us. We’ll decide later if we want to go out or just grab take out. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!!!

Incredible to think we are already starting the next-to-the-last month of the year. The month when Christmas Season 2019 begins!

Days to the Season: 12 (Incredibly close to SINGLE DIGITS!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 27 (UNDER Four weeks, now!)
Days to Christmas Day: 54 (Close to 7 1/2 weeks!)
(I'm starting to feel pretty "seasonal". How about you?)

Lots of rain late yesterday, with severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches out. No significant problems at our place but there are plenty of leaves and pine cones to pick up!
Today will be calm but cold compared to recent days and we begin it at 45 degrees.

With all the rain, wind, and cold, the mall and churches were full of trick or treaters last night. Great time was had by all.
Even though it's only November, I have declared it Christmas season at my house. We'll start decorating in two weeks. I can't wait.

Good November morning, Christmas friends!

Wow, it was in the upper 80's when trick-or-treating started yesterday. Then a storm blew up that sent the kids running for home, ending the fun evening. This morning it was 39°F!

We're hosting steak night at Bernie's store tonight. If you're in the mood for some prime beef, come to Bellville!

It even cooled off in Florida. Highs today will only hit low 70s and it's windy. No rain yet but the forecast is for the lower temperatures to continue.....so I guess our Florida winter has arrived.

Happy November, MMC!! Halloween was a bit of a bust here with snow and 40mph winds. I hung out at my aunts and she only got 47 kids when it’s usually closer to 200. I have some errands to run today and then this weekend I’ll be in full blown Christmas mode. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Happy November 1st everyone! This is one of my favorite days of the year as I allow myself to indulge in all things Christmas from now until New Year's Day! I will start switching out fall decorations today for Christmas, allow myself Christmas music, and I may even wrap some presents! I hope everyone has a wonderful November 1st!
