Hi everyone,

I didn’t have a change to wish everyone a merry Christmas on the big day, but I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I just can’t believe it flew by so fast.
I’m off work till the end of next week, so I’ll probably have time to sneak in a Christmas movie or two, just to keep the post Christmas blues away.

Have a great day!

Enjoy your time off. -merry-

Thinking of you! Safe travels!

Thanks, I returned a day early due to the impending storm on it's way tomorrow with freezing ice pellets creating 4mm of sleet, etc. threatening treacherous travel - the weather people keep trying to find new ways to keep us off the roads. I figured it was less stressful to drive in the beautiful sunlight today with dry roads than to worry about ice and other drivers.

Caught myself in the middle of two convoys so I made good time getting home; didn't even stop. It was much faster than the drop down.

Target ran out of Life Saver Storybooks the week of December 8th without restocking...

They missed the Target on that one.

I haven't gotten one of those since College.

Thank you, Auntie. She is feeling much better now. Christmas Eve was different for sure, but DH (who in my eyes is the best daddy in the world), made the same dinner she would have got in the restaurant we were going to, we listened to Kringle Radio and tracked Santa, we opened their Christmas Eve box, which had new Christmas PJ's, Christmas books, a Christmas movie, Christmas mugs, popcorn, and hot chocolate, and then watched some specials on TV. We still tried to make it special for her.

Sounds great.

Geez. I spoke too soon. DD has been feeling well since Christmas, so I thought we were on the mend, but she just came out of room, fire engine red, said she didn't feel well. I took her temp and it's up to 102.2F again. I'm sure DH or I brought something home from work to her and her immune system isn't strong enough to fight it or she hasn't entirely fought off what she has yet. That just plain stinks.

#2 Grandson and his fiancée were both sick so I kept my distance. And two hours before bedtime, the youngest granddaughter was complaining of a stomach ache and she didn't want to eat breakfast.

After visiting my husband's ex-wife in the retirement residence and upon arrival of a my daughter-in-laws brother, wife and 4 children (8 months-11 yrs), I thought home was a safer place to be.

I want to enjoy my vacation not come "down" with something.

Hope she takes it easy and gets well so she can enjoy the holidays.

Thanks, Auntie! She’s still be contained to the house and is feeling better today. Hope your family feels better and I hope you continue to feel well too!

Hi, Folks.
Don't "count" me out. Still here enjoying the waning days of Christmas Season 2019.

Don't forget. This thread locks at midnight following New Year's Eve and "Christmas Countdown 2020" will then launch promptly. Hopefully, the delay will be only a matter of seconds if everything goes well. I usually open a second session on this site so when I lock 2019, I can then hop over to 2020 and post it. Kind of fun, actually!
Have a great weekend ahead, Guys!

They always close and launch within a minute. You can do it.

Hope we get some year out - year in night owls to join us.

Sharing one of her favourite artists from the 70's. She introduced me to some great music over the years.

-lights-Stay jolly; I'll catch up on Sunday. -mistletoe-

Well, it seems our moms had something in common ...I am a big Neil fan today because mom was a MAJOR Neil fan back in the day!

Been really busy the last few days, had little time to stop by here. A belated Merry Christmas to all, again it's been a lot of fun counting down the days with all of you, even if I don't get back here until October-ish.

I hope to be back a bit more before the New Year, but if not, god bless you all and see you next fall!! :) :) :)

Good Sunday morning, Christmas friends!

We took a quick trip to the mountains with Mama and Elizabeth. It’s supposed to rain all day, but I don’t care...I’m in the mountains!

I took Monday and Tuesday off of work, so I’m thinking a Star Trek binge is in my future.

I hope y’all have a great day!

Good morning MMC!
I’m just having my coffee and I’m watching the local news. I have blueberry muffins in the oven and I’m going to make a quiche afterward. We’re heading to my parents house this morning to visit. Not too much else going on. I might pop in to a Hallmark store later this afternoon since the ornaments are on sale. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

...oh, and by the way, Auntie, mom's favorite Neil song was, yep, Song Sung Blue

I don't mind when his songs get stuck in my head. Two years after my brother got his first trumpet, he and a few friends performed two of his song for mom on Mother's Day in their make shift stage in the back end of basement where the furnace was located. She teared up.

My brother is a good friend of Rod Roddenberry, son of Gene. We were just chatting about him and Star Trek on Christmas Eve. There are Star Trek people and there are Star Wars people and sometimes there are both, but if you go to a Star Trek convention; don't show up as a Star Wars character.

Good Morning, MMC!! It’s going to be a rainy day here in central Indy. Nothing really special planned for today. Just going to clean and finish up laundry. If it’s not raining to hard this afternoon, I might run out and see my neighbor in the rehab center. I hope everyone has a great day!!

+hMerry Morning +d

I'm glad I chose to return a day early, they are now calling for worse weather by the afternoon than they had predicted previously. Possibly 10-15 mm of ice build up on the roads and HWY and power outages. Tomorrow morning, it will be like driving on a skating rink.

I will head out shortly to run a few errands and then I can stay in until Tuesday if I have to because I'll have enough food, etc. and don't have to work as I'm still off until the 6th. Might be a good time to do some housework.

Keep a merry thought in your head +i
