I forgot to post my Tom Turkey Day post yesterday. :(
So here it is (a day late).

I missed Tom Turkey Day too, with being so caught up in Christmas Time / Christmas Prep. It feels awful when you remember something that you forgot :(

Yes a lot of us got our wish, but we were just hoping it wouldn't be like the "normal" Christmases here where it is 50 and 60 degrees. Right now Christmas Day is supposed to be 30 degrees here, which somehow feels "just" Christmasey. I am glad today was not Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, because the weather is brutal and miserable.
I normally hope for good weather near/around holidays. I don't want people to be trapped, without power, or not able to travel to their family!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 334
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 312
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 251

Happy Christmas Eve! Today folks we have reached a very special day known as Christmas Eve. And our counts on this very special day are as follows: 334 days till Thanksgiving, 312 days till November, and 251 days till The Bers. Our next milestone will be TOMORROW folks when we welcome in on Christmas Day the 250-Day Marker Till The Bers. A big milestone that is worthy of it falling on Christmas Day. It’s a very (very) cold Christmas Eve out there but that’s ok we continue along through our Happy Holidays and feeling great as I hope all of you are as well. It’s the weekend folks in case you forgot what day it is (this time of year we all do sometimes). So simplicity is key in this thread when it’s the weekend as you all know. Folks – Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving Day are my top 2 days of the year, overall. So you see where a day like this can make me really realize why I love it but also love Thanksgiving Day. Just amazing days. But to be honest? In recent years I think my appreciation for Christmas Day has gone up. And you all know I’m a Thanksgiving Eve addict more than anyone maybe on this planet? And then…you know how I feel about the entire month of October. And taking that all into consideration doesn’t that just tell you how incredible this 4th quarter of the year is? No disrespect to Sweet Spot September but these 3 months folks…just ridiculously amazing. And I think we all appreciate it right now on Christmas Eve. Keep your turkey spirit all through Christmas Eve folks. Have a great Christmas Eve!

Today's dinner is going to feel very much like Thanksgiving. I know there will be turkey, but I'm pretty sure at least one side of our family also has a ham. My wife is making the dressing, and there will be mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, and I'm sure some kind of casserole. And warm rolls! Yum!

No mac and cheese this time, though. I'm saving the good stuff for New Year's Eve.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! The weather is absolutely horrible! We have 6° and the dry powdery snow is blowing all over. Kids are already driving us nuts which in turn has the 2 ferrets making the cats mad. The only thing calm are the bearded dragons today..lol (until I put on their Santa hats)

No sweatfest this Christmas Eve CW!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 333
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 311
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 250

Merry Christmas! Today folks we have 333 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 311 days left until November, and 250 days to go until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day on Christmas Day folks. And that would be our 250-Day Marker Till The Bers. Hard to believe already one count (maybe the most important one) is as close to 200 as it is to 300 already. And I know…we’re still in The Bers right now. But many of you know The heart and soul of The Bers is really September 1 through Thanksgiving. And then…it’s like the extension of The Bers which is consumed 24/7 by the Christmas Season. Our next milestone is the Arrival of a new month (January) and the arrival of a new year (2023). It will happen on Sunday. That’s in a week. So no worries about that right now. We hit the peak today of our Happy Holidays portion of this thread but it does not end here. Nope we continue it right into and through the upcoming week ahead. Week ahead? Hard to believe there is anything after Christmas. It always feels weird. But we still have today a very important day Christmas Day to enjoy the magic under our trees together. And that’s all we can really be thankful for at this moment. And if you’re having turkey for it count yourself even more thankful. We’ll have lasagna here as is our tradition to do so. Thanks for being here on Christmas Day Gobblers. Gobble Gobble. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas all.

It is hard to believe that Christmas season kicked in high gear for everyone on Thanksgiving and we have reached our finale today. The bridge from Thanksgiving to Christmas was fast but wonderful. I will still enjoy the Christmas extras here for the next week.

I hope everyone has a great day with family and friends.

Merry Christmas Thanksgiving friends! I love the feeling I get on Thanksgiving morning and today more than any other days of the year. Let's all enjoy!
