Yeah baby! Halfoween is less than 2 weeks away.

And I say stress, but I think it's a "good" stress. Getting excited about the upcoming Seasons / Holidays can have some stress to it, but more than anything I think it is fun. We have been having fun this Spooky Spring. May sees "The Road" to The Bers open back up, and Halfway to Thanksgiving. June we have halfway to Christmas, July brings us 4th of July and Christmas in July, and at long last we are finally back in "Fall Pre-Season" with August. I could go on but everybody knows how the last 4 months of the year plays out. So take time to just enjoy where we are in Spooky Spring and in April. I'm a guy who loves to cut the brakes but I don't want to burn through April too quickly.
I have never really understood where the "stress" comes in when it comes to our counts this early in the year. The only time that I get any stress at all about the holidays is when they're actually upon us. October is very little stress. November is somewhat more because of the planning and preparation involved with Thanksgiving. Christmas is probably the most stressful, but at the same time I'm having way more fun than I am being stressed.

Now, all that being said, I understand that everyone processes stress differently, so my experience won't be the same as everyone else's. In fact, the summer is way more stressful for me than the holidays because of hurricane season. Hurricane season alone is enough to make me want to fast forward through summer. I do not like the preparation involved or the possibility of evacuation every year. My eyes are constantly glued to the weather forecast during summer.

I think the whole "stress" thing may not be the best word to describe it. I think more than anything else it is just a feeling that all of a sudden, it isn't just whimsical flipping through the calendar anymore or looking forward to an upcoming milestone. I think it's the slow realization that the stuff that we have been counting down to is rapidly approaching us and pretty soon, it's not going to be an "in the future" type thing. I have been looking forward to Spooky Spring ever since January 1, and it is minorly "stressful" to think that in just two weeks we are halfway to Halloween and rapidly approaching "The Road" being open again and now all of a sudden, all of the good stuff doesn't seem so far away again!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday to you! Last night we felt like having a "Halloween Duds" night and ended up watching X-Men 2. I always enjoy seeing those movies on TV, even though X-Men, Spider Man, and Independence Day doesn't really seem like Spooky Season / October movies.

It's another chilly morning here. I enjoy these mornings for as many days as we get them because I know that they won't last long. Probably by next week, I will be on "borrowed time" before the heat starts coming in "for good". I do hope that the final week of Spooky Spring, and especially my Michael Myers film marathon leading me to the HALFOWEEKEND cooperates weather wise. We all know how hard it is to get in the spirit when it is hot and muggy.

My Halloween thought for today comes back to TV time. Is there anything better than Halloween Shows / Movies playing on rotation during Spooky Season? Of course we have things that play in regular circulation like Harry Potter, but It's fun for me to flip the channels to see what is playing. Bonus points for any time Michael is on TV, we automatically change the channel there and he overrules any other show that might be on TV during Halloween Season.

That's it for today! I hope you're enjoying nice Spooky Spring weather and you can keep some Halloween thoughts today!

Oh man, what a great Halloween thought. It immediately got me thinking about TV time during the Halloween season as well. It's hard to explain, but flipping through the channels any time after September just feels different, doesn't it? There's always some kind of Halloween special or movie or, at the very least, Halloween commercials that are easy to stumble across. And there's always just a slight chill outside while you're watching, especially in the evenings. What a great feeling.

Hope you don't mind me piggybacking off your Halloween thought today, but it really did give me a dose of the Feels! So thank you!

Flipping thru the channels during October is always fun. We usually end up stopping on the Freeform Channel. They have great Halloween shows. Those feels are hitting me also @The_Escalation.

I love watching Halloween themed shows on TV but there are some Movies/Shows that I need to watch during Halloween that do not get airtime in my area ... Lost Boys and of course ET and Garfield's Halloween Special.
I miss Garfield. I used to watch all of the Garfield holiday specials each year, but somehow Garfield hasn't endured like Charlie Brown has. He's a solid second place, though.

Oh the Lost Boys. It is still one of my favorite vampire movies. I finally got to watch it with my teenage son this past Halloween and he liked it.

I always loved the theme which is actually called "Cry little sister". I have it on my Halloween playlist.

I bought the DVD a few years ago and sat down with my daughter to watch it and she loves it now. The 80s had some GREAT movies

The Halloween thought Tuesday is ANYBODY's thoughts, we don't have to talk about the same thing lol. I enjoy hearing the different things that people think about.

Halloween Commercials x100 - I love that youtube has so many of these and I incorporate them into Spooky Season and also Jack O Lantern days. Instant dose of the feels.

Happy Wednesday Morning! It's another chilly one outside. Just as close to a fall morning as you will get here in April. Really adds to the Spooky Spring feel. Driving home last night from the in laws, I saw as close to a "Fall Sunset" as you could get. Deep oranges and the only thing we were missing was the purple colors of the fall. It hit me in the feels. I'm loving Spooky Spring still, it's amplified by going to Hobby Lobby and enjoying seeing all the Fall stuff sprout up there. I'm probably making another run today or tomorrow there.

We're going to be in SINGLE DIGITS in just two days on the Days to Halfoween count, and also in two days is a major milestone IMO, that being the 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. That's a big one folks. I hope you are all here to celebrate it with me.

Have a great day, friends!

There are 11 days until Halfoween and I only have 9 pieces of Halloween candy left at work. But... There are only 8 work days left... So that means I can have 2 pieces on one of those days. Which day shall it be? thinking-face.png
