Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday. Monday is in the books now and we are cruising to the next part of the week. Tuesday can still be a slog though, let's hope today isn't too bad. I always feel like everything changes on Wednesday.
Folks we continue to march onwards to The Bers. We are less than four weeks away now, and on the Halloween front, we will be in a 30's count to Halloween season beginning on Thursday. The big milestone though will be on Saturday, when we reach just 50 DAYS TO OCTOBER.
We didn't have a Tuesday Halloween thought last Tuesday because the day was focused on the arrival of Fall Pre-Season. Today we are back on track. Today is an easy one. Do you enjoy the silly / fun side of Halloween, or do you like when it is serious / scary? Me personally I like both. I enjoy some of the fun things like "It's the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown", I like the south park episodes with Halloween, but I also really enjoy when there are scary movie marathons on TV, and in fact I think October weekend TV might be the finest TV time out of the entire year! So let us know today.

I enjoy all aspects of Halloween. I am not a huge horror movie guy, so I tend to lean more into the silly/fun parts of the holiday, but every so often I do like to veer into the creepy and mysterious and watch a movie like Signs or something similar with more of a thriller vibe. And of course I do enjoy scary, suspenseful video games like Silent Hill.

Wednesday evenings / early Thursday mornings just might start becoming my new favorite day of the week besides Friday, of course.
You can see that tomorrow we will be rolling into a 30's count on our way to Halloween Season! And in just three more days we will hit another major milestone, the 50 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone! What a glorious day!

So, we decided that we are taking an end-of-school Fall trip. We wanted to go to the State Fair of Texas, and we still might, but that would require us to condense 11 weeks of homeschool into 9 weeks, and that's quite a workload (on both us and the kids). Instead, I think we're going to visit my alma mater for Homecoming Week. It's a win-win: My 9th grader gets to tour the campus and see what college life is like, my wife and I get to enjoy an outdoor football game, and my six-year old gets to go to the Fall Festival happening in town during the same week. They also have a "Spooky Trail," and I've never been on a Spooky Trail before! I finally get to go on a Spooky Trail!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF! At long last the weekend is in sight!
Today marks exactly THREE WEEKS until we are back home in our beloved Bers! And tonight I will finally get to see the Washington Football Team in a pre-season game! I told myself that I would not watch another game until Dan Snyder was gone as the owner, and we finally got our wish over the summer. So needless to sa there will be lots of Fall Feels this evening - a cool evening, and Football on the TV. I might even burn later in our "Bers Fire Ring" if we don't get any rain showers.
On the Halloween front, nice and steady is the theme right now. I don't want to blast through Fall pre-season. I lost a few days due to mourning. I have a video on my phone of Sophie from a few years ago laying outside with a gentle breeze blowing and autumn leaves falling all around her. I'd like to imagine that might be something I would see in heaven.
Tomorrow is a BIG milestone day, we begin the "Final Fifty" on our way to October. It doesn't seem possible!

Good morning Halloween fans!
Sorry for my absence the last couple of days. Life has just been busy with teacher work days and football. Both positive signs for the coming of Fall.
So far there have still not been a lot of Halloween stuff out near me; at least the stores I normally go to. Tomorrow we are planning to go to some comic book stores in a couple of different nearby towns, and while out, I plan on going to some stores to look for Halloween stuff!
I am certainly feeling the Halloween vibe. It is usually about this time that I watch the occasional Halloween movie. I often start with something like Clue. Nothing truly Halloween or horror related; but fun and starts moving in that direction.

In other sort of Halloween / Scary / Spooky Related news - Red Dead Redemption, a beloved original Xbox 360 game, is coming out for PS4 and the Nintendo Switch next Tuesday. The game has also included a full-size DLC entitled "Undead Nightmare", where zombies have overran the wild wild west. I played it a long time ago and very much enjoyed Rockstar's take on the zombie genre. It will be good to go down memory lane once again. With the PS5 having backwards compatibility with PS4 games, I'm going to play it with the full power of the PS5. I can't wait. Get back in that hole, partner!

It hardly seems possible, but as I always say, the counts never lie. While I am out and about on my travels this weekend I am hoping to indulge in more Halloween / Code-Orange findings. I might get a Hobby Lobby run in too, if I can swing it.
