I am putting out lots more bird food today. Some of the birds seem to adore cracked corn. And one of the supermarkets carries it here. It is not very expensive. Extra food helps keep the birds alive during cold weather.

I am not moving from my big comfy couch! it is so cold here they are asking you to stay in if you can! figure's I need to goto the grocery store.HM maybe I'll use the delivery service online.ya know I might get the kids a sub or pizza and I feel like having chinese..can we say delivery please!! im so glad that we have it around here :D

Oh ya it's a balmy 5 deg's here, suns out big deal,it feels like -5 here its THAT cold...Ok dreaming about Puerto Rico right this second!

Mumof2 - Delivery of food is heavenly - when you live in an area that has it! And those delivery people are REALLY earning their tips in this weather!

Is anybody staying home today because it is so cold?
Wish I could, Sparkle. It is 19 currently here in Raleigh and the weather service is still predicting 9 for tonight. (And I don't even want to think about the wind chill factor!)

G-G-G-Good M-M-M-Morning, F-F-F-Friends!, Crown says through chattering teeth.
My 24-year-old old heat pump is struggling to keep up with the dropping temps. But no matter - I'm keeping my hands warm over a hot computer.

The daily figures:
Days to the Season: 301
Days to Christmas Day:343
Now, if the fact that tomorrow is our FIRST MILESTONE doesn't warm you up, nothing will!
Can you believe it? Down to 300 already, then the 200's. My, My, My!

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
May your Weekend get off to a Wonderous start this afternoon.
(And I hope you are one of the lucky ones who can stay under the covers for a while longer tomorrow morning!)

HHmmm, Crown... yes... the computer is comforting!

So, is anyone doing anything INTERESTING today? Me? No.

Hahah..i remember what you're talking about..Robert Goulet got a lot of this publicity

Here's what he said in an interview

CA: You know Memphis is an Elvis town and you factor into a local legend.

GOULET: When he shot the television set? He also shot 50 other people. They told me that he had about a hundred sets in the basement. And he'd shoot the **** thing out - you know he was on pills and he didn't know quite what he was doing and he'd BANG! and they'd look at each other and say, "Get another set!" They mention me all the time. I don't know why. I remember once we sat together backstage for two hours. And he was a charming, delightful, delightful man. And at one point I said, "That's a beautiful ring you have there." He said "You like it?" I said, "It's beautiful!"

He took it off his hand and put it on mine. He gave me his ring. And years later all the jewelry I had in my house - I trust everybody. I was brought up to believe that you cannot steal, cheat or lie and I've been stolen from, cheated or lied to all of my life. And so jewelry - who needs it? But this one was something special to me and it's gone.

CA: Somebody took it?

GOULET: I hired a guy to take care of my house when I was gone. I'm so naive it's ridiculous. 'Cause, you know, when we hire people today we do a background check. I didn't do that. . . . I was in Dallas doing something and I got a call from LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department). "We have a Stutz Blackhawk, silver, with gold trim with RGG license plate?" I said "You have it? How do you have it?" "Well, we saw this guy going through Watts driving this car with the window open throwing out hundred dollar bills." He had taken all my jewelry and everything else I had of import and taken my car and driven it down to L.A. But all my good stuff is just gone, finished. It's all part of dying.

CA: So tell me a little more about the Elvis connection. We write so much about Elvis here. What was your reaction when you heard he'd shot the TV?

GOULET: The point is I knew he was not himself so therefore it wasn't anything to do with me. He shot out Mel Torme. He shot out Frank. But I get all the credit.

Well - wHAT is everyone eating now?

I just had some raw veggies and humus! Yes, yes, I am the wonderful Princess of Healthy Things!!!!! So - now is a good time for me to ask this question, since it is one of the few times I am being very good about food. what about you?

ChalieBrown - I apologize. I read trackrebel's thread about food and I wrote mine in response. I had not read your very interesting post about Robert Goulet and Elvis. I did not intent to be insensitive. It just happened accidently.
