I think I am going with A. When we talked about the original Thanksgiving lasting 3 days I was thinkg about how to extend my own festivities. I have a friend at work who does an Appsgiving on Wednesday night- strictly snacks and drinks, I have been wanting to give that a try. Then of course a noon time meal on Thursday. If there is a good NFL match-up for a later game (fingers crossed for the Bears) maybe I could plan something fun?

Normally I’d answer C, but we aren’t having a mini-Thanksgiving this year (groan), so my next answer would be A. Unfortunately, I read last night that the schedule release was delayed until May 15th now. ARGH! So now I guess my answer is B?

There hasn’t been a whole lot of parade news yet this year. I’m hoping that things pick up soon.
It's delayed this year it seems a bit!

Hmm the possibilities!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 203
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 176
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 115

Happy Mellow May! Today folks we move along and have 203 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 176 days left until November, and 115 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be 3 days from now when we reach the 200-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. That will be kind of cool if you ask me. We move along in our Super Spring still Stress-Free for another 2+ weeks. Feeling good about that. Got to enjoy no stress this time of year. And now we welcome in our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

Thanksgiving is quite the day when you think about it. Like from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed it almost feels like a total day of incredible joy. I’m not sure if any other day can match up to it in that way. Christmas Eve? Kind of starts slow in the morning and builds through the day. Christmas Day? Starts out the pinnacle in the morning but many say it drops off later in the day. Overall, Thanksgiving might have been the most complete day in terms of excitement.

I hope all of you are having a great day today. And that you will enjoy your time today with work, family, friends, hobbies, and sleep. We’ll be back tomorrow for our normal Friday fun. Have a great Mellow May!

I second this. Thanksgiving stays at 100% "power" throughout the entire day, and there is no drop off. That is just one of many things to appreciate about that day! Have a great Thursday!

Well, in a somewhat random turn of events, it seems that we ARE going to have a mini-Thanksgiving after all! We’re still grilling on Saturday, but on Sunday my wife’s grandmother wanted to have us over for dinner after church. My wife proposed bringing dressing, at which point her grandmother said she would make her “Thanksgiving peas” (which are really just tiny sweet peas), and from there we just ran with it. Turkey will be involved, although it might just be a turkey breast instead of the full bird. And yes, I’m doing a mac and cheese.

Mini-Thanksgiving is ON!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 202
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 175
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 114

Happy Double Digits May! Today folks we have 202 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 175 days to go until November, and 114 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Sunday which is Mother’s Day and will be the 200-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. 2 reasons to celebrate on Sunday then. Pretty awesome, isn’t it? Turkey friends we move along in our Super Spring with 2 Stress-Free weeks left beginning today thanksgiving with our Fun Fact Friday below!

The average cost of Thanksgiving dinner is $53.31 for 10 guests.

That doesn’t seem right to me. I wonder if they mean “per person” lol. But I don’t know how they’re thinking that. We get our turkey free every year based on how much we spend at the supermarket so I mean if you’re counting that it would cheapen the cost, but nothing seems that cheap these days does it? Turkey friends have a great Friday today. I’m off from work but going to the mall for a bit this afternoon. And just strutting around like a turkey. A very low-key 3-day weekend here. I’m thankful for that. And thankful for all of you being here of course as well as I always state. Have a great Double Digits May!
