I agree! Another fast weekend! Hope you all had a great one! Our bowling bash was a success again! Another year (this was #11) here & gone!! Hard to believe! After the bash we went out with friends for pizza to a local tavern when I got a phone call that my Mom was in the hospital with phnemonia!!! It came on super fast - she got the chills & had chest pains! Though I know phnemonia is serious & can lead to complications, I was so relieved to hear that is *all* it was - and not her heart. She just had her 80th b-day, so b/c of her age they kept her overnight! They booted her out today b/c the doc said there are SO MANY germs in the hospital right now, she'll be sicker than when she walked in the door! So she's home & doing pretty good. I brought them supper & dessert tonight!

BRRRRR! We are back in the 20's here in Raleigh, but the sun is shining brightly with no wind. And it's dry as a bone with no rain predicted until at least Friday.

Today and tomorrow are the last days of Carnival over here....it´s called Mardi Gras over there....lots of parades were going down in Germany today....especially the three huuuuuuuuuuge ones in Mainz (capitol of my state), Cologne (the biggest of the parades) and Düsseldorf.......hundred´s of thousands of people are watching the parades....and even more just come into the city to party and celebrate....those parades are broadcasted on National Televisison as well....it´s just big fun...and everyone seems to be smiling.

Hope your mom recovers quickly! My son had pneumonia when he was about 10 and was in hospital for a week. Nothing to fool around with thats for sure. Make her lots of chicken soup!cheesy

Thank you all for the well wishes & prayers for my Mom! I was there today & she is doing much better! She goes back to the doc tomorrow, so hopefully he sees much improvement! :smile:

Sounds like it's going to be cold all week!! We got a little snow today! I can't believe we are almost to the 300 days til Christmas marker! Seems like a long time away, but the last 60 days went so fast, it will be here before we know it!!

yuck - i'm having one of those days today where i feel really down for no particular reason. i hate days like these!

hope everyone is well? i went for my first scan on friday, got to see my baby for the first time. it was very cute, but i have to be brutally honest and say that my child has a big head! hopefully once it arrives it will be more in proportion, lol! everything is good with the baby so i am very relieved.

shocking how quickly the year is flying by, i'm sure you will all agree. we are nearly in march!!!!!!! come september, that's when i am really in 100% christmas mode, it will be here before i know it.

Hey Johnor.....lol bout the head comment.....but the thing is.....even when the babies are born....the head is the biggest....that´s what makes them so cute....at least I read that somewhere....it´s part of the babysceme....so other animals might take over to raise babies of other type of animals...because they look cute.....

so....I guess from the head comment.....the baby is far out of the kidney bean phase?

Johnor - love the big head comment! I remember getting my daughter's ultrasound picture, looking at it and thinking OMG, it looks like an alien! And she did, the head was overly large, with a pointy chin, and huge eyes. Made me wonder about some of the weird things my hubby has done, .

But she came out looking perfectly lovely, all the right proportions and everything. Yours will too!

sgrover.....true.....soon it will be less than 300 days till Christmas Day....time is flying by....it really is....my daughter turns 3 years on the 9th....then my birthday is next...then my nephew will be babtised....then Easter.....and then it will be Summer quickly....I´m looking forward to that so much....and then....from August/September on....I will be in my Christmas Mode again...

Well poop, I made my way back here earlier than I had wanted. Oh well. I think I am going to follow the season countdown much more than the day countdown this year. I accepted last year that I enjoy mid-Nov to Christmas much more than Christmas Day (which is depressing because you know its over).

Really I am just trying to get to July 20th or so. That is when HSN does Christmas in July (before the better one on QVC on the 25th). Training camps open at that time and everything is down hill from that.
