Happy Easter everyone. I just finished my Cheesy potatoes and I'm getting ready to go to my mom's for some delicious ham. Yum! Hope everyone has a great day today.
our day was great....Kandice had fun...and my niece too....the day was nice...until 6pm...then my mom called and told me that my grandpops (turns 80 in less than a month) has surgery on his backbone right now....they found a lump at his backbone....now they don´t know what it is....it could be normal for him, it could bea tumor or blood....he woke up from the surgery for now...he seems fine for now...but we don´t know what that lump was from yet.....

Last day of the Easter weekend
I will be baking all the cakes for the competition today...two already done, three left to go. I am hoping to have them all covered and ready to decorate by tonight. 3 days to go!!

I'm awake, my coffee-hyper friend and ready(?) to face a new week - one that will see us move yet another 7 days closer to our grand and glorious Christmas Season.

And we are now under 2 weeks away from the 1/3 Christmas Day marker.
Overcast and cool here in Raleigh this morning, with rain in the forecast.
We are currently at 46 degrees and are not supposed to get past the 50's all day.

Hello all! I got my algebra test back today and I got a 95%! Wahoo! I have 1 test left and then the final on May 5th. I'll find out what I got on my biology test on Sat. and I'll also have another quiz on Sat. as well. Things are moving really fast in biology class right now because we are behind schedule. I think my last class in bio. is on May 9th. Then the summer session begins and I start all over again. I'm actually going to miss my biology class because I enjoy the girls in my class that sit next to me. Hopefully we'll remain friends after the class is over. Hope everyone is having a great Monday. I was off last night but, I return to work tonight. Atleast I have a short week this week just like I did last week.
There are so many ways you can make it special. Aside from the usual candle lit dinner, and a long desert cheesy.......
How about helping out at a local shelter, soup kitchen or women's shelter?
Have an open house on Christmas and invite co workers, friends & neighbours to drop in for a drink and treats. Or do the opposite, spend the day dropping in on others with a plate of goodies, staying maybe a half hour, and just having a great time.
Arrange a conference call with family you cannot be with so you can all have a nice virtual visit (I think there is a way to do it on line too)

I am off work today! It was our school system's weather day. I am so glad too. I was at a conference 3 days last week and this weekend has been so busy. I needed today to just relax. My 7 year old son and I have been out and about enjoying the day.
I hope you all had a great Easter. Here's hoping this week will be fantastic, too.
