You didn't think we forgot, did you?

Christmas in July has been a long standing tradition here at MyMerryChristmas. Of course, we're not going to miss it. We will be doing all of our usual events as we celebrate the season here in the dog days of summer.

We might even have a few surprises for you along the way. How are you celebrating Christmas in July?

Our first gift of Christmas in July is a refresh of all our styles. Each has been updated and re-worked, so you have a variety of choices as you visit the forums. Choose one for your phone and our app and another for your desktop and yet another for your tablet. They should all work no matter the screen.

Our default theme is called Tannenbaum:

This is far and away the most popular theme, but I think that is because it's the default and folks don't really know how to change the style.

No matter the browser or if you're on the app, you can change the forum look and feel by going down to the bottom right and looking for the theme name generally near the copyright notice. Just click on the theme to get a popup of the other choices. The other choices are listed below.

I've used Tannenbaum since I first saw it because I really liked it best, but I think I will give Yule a try! The larger font sounds tempting. These eyes aren't getting any younger :)

Will the Santa Tracking broadcast be repeated this July? I like to send a link to friends and co-workers.

We're excited to announce, via Santa's Sleigh, the launch of Operation Christmas Cheer 2025.

Operation Christmas Cheer is our simple effort to just spread a little Christmas love to folks who need it. It's simple and this is our 21st year of doing this. It's just folks we know who receive a simple Christmas card just because we love them. That's it.

I've had family members who have benefitted from this simple act of service. It lifts spirits without fail. From all over the word they receive a card from total strangers at MyMerryChristmas.com just because.

This year's event begins now. Please visit the signup page for Operation Christmas Cheer and submit the name and address of someone you know and love who could use some Christmas Cheer. Signups run between now and November 22nd, and the list will be sent out on November 23rd (just before Thanksgiving).

Remember - this is NOT our Christmas Card Exchange - this is Operation Christmas Cheer. It's a one-way thing we do out of love and concern for those who can't participate in the exchange. These are the elderly, the shut-in, the ill or folks who just need some love.

I usually put my elderly mother on the list. She's a shut-in that doesn't get out socially anymore. I appreciate every card she gets because it lifts her spirits so much! She is moved to tears sometimes that people she doesn't even know care enough to send her a card. It makes us both so happy! I'm very proud to be a part of it. My hope is that my card will lift the spirit of someone somewhere.

Let us know how we can make it better.
Thanks, Jeff! I think I've decided that I will use the darker ones when my eyes are tired at night. I love the Yule and the MMC Winter ones for during the day, though. I love being able to change it up when I need to. Great job!

This is what it is all about right here! Thank you for sharing that. It makes me so very happy to hear this.

Our goal for Santa's Sleigh 2025 is $10,000 - our highest in history.

But it's not as great as it seems. We had a few really large and very last minute contributions on Christmas Eve last year and we honestly did not have time to distribute it all. Those funds, as well as those collected year-to-date for membership fees here at the Merry Forums have us sitting on about $4000 as we head into the 2nd half of the year.

In other words, I think we can do it!

We will be making a little push for some advertising here and at SantasSleigh.org with Gold Star Sponsorships. Literally any person or any business can become a Gold Star Sponsor. If you know of someone who could use the exposure and wants to help the cause please send them my way.

Thank you always for supporting the humble work of Santa's Sleigh.
