Here we go again friends. Thanksgiving 2025 was remarkable. The parade, football, food, family, fun. It was a day to remember. Now we begin our journey to Thanksgiving 2026. It all begins tomorrow. Here is a look at our thread and some changes (fun ones I believe) will improve this thread this year. Happy Thanksgiving!

November 27 - December 31 = Happy Holidays
January 1 - March 19 = Winter Doldrums
March 20 - May 23 = Stress Free Spring
May 24 - August 31 = Summer Sweatfest
September 1 - November 25 = Awesome Autumn

November 26 – Happy Thanksgiving

Below is a list of how our days of the week work.
Monday = YouTube Day (NEW addition)
Tuesday = Picture Day
Wednesday = Poll Day
Thursday = Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving (changed)

Friday = Fun Fact
Saturday/Sunday = Quiet Weekend Period

Happy Black Friday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 363 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 338 days left until November and 277 days to go until The Bers. We move along into our new section of the year, which is the Happy Holidays. I mean that’s what happens when we reach Thanksgiving. You notice that? Our next (and 1st) milestone of this new thread will be the same as it always is which will be December Arriving and that will happen on Monday. But don’t think about Monday. It’s Friday folks and we begin our Fun Fact Fridays here in this new thread with a brand new one below (brand new as in from YESTERDAY)!

The Detroit Lions are started their Thanksgiving game at 1 p.m. ET yesterday instead of the usual 12:30 p.m. ET to align with the NFL's "traditional windows" for broadcasting, which creates a more natural flow for the day's schedule and gives the league more eyeballs on the game. This change allows the 1 p.m. ET game to flow directly into the 4:30 p.m. ET Dallas Cowboys game, making it more beneficial for viewers across time zones.

When I heard this yesterday, I had to investigate why. I always know it starts at 12:30 although I never understood why either when games always start at 1 on Sundays. That is the only game of the year that used to start at 12:30. I expect the change to be permanent based on the reason why. Have a great Black Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 362 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 337 days left until November and 276 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our 1st milestone in this brand-new thread arriving on Monday. It will be the Arrival of December (and Cyber Monday, of course). And it will signify the beginning of our 11-month journey back to December. It’s Saturday folks so for the first time in this thread (of 52) we begin our Quiet Weekend Period with part 1 being today on Saturday. This is a great weekend obviously to do Christmas Season stuff which most of us will be doing. But I think it’s also a great weekend to reflect on this entire week and specifically Thanksgiving. Many argue it’s the best day of the year. If it’s not it’s right near the top of the list. I think it’s hard to argue that after what we just enjoyed this week. It’s just been amazing. The whole week. Thanksgiving Eve still my #1 most underrated day of the year and I’ll continue to talk about it all year whenever I get the chance because not many people do. And Thanksgiving, of course, amazing with the food, football, family, traditions, parade, and fun. Gobble Gobble turkey friends. Have a great Thanksgiving Weekend!

I had a turkey sandwich for lunch yesterday followed by a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner for my evening meal. While eating it, I couldn't get over how much I was enjoying my food!

I can't believe just one more day of November is all that's left tomorrow. I have a feeling pretty soon, I'm really going to miss Thanksgiving. I don't know if it's "hit me" yet.

We are holding out hope that John's swallowing problem continues to resolve and in January, when the G-tube is removed like they hope it will be, we are going to have a big "Thanksgiving" dinner to celebrate life going back to normal and John going back to normal. And we are all looking forward to that!

We fall into that same trap every year...it's so far away...we blink it's the new year...we blink it's spring...we blink we're in the sweatfest...we blink we're back to the fall and Halloween Season...and you know what comes after that!

Happy November Finale! Today folks we move along and see that we have 361 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 336 days left until November and 275 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving on Monday. That is tomorrow. That will be our first milestone in this thread, and it will be the Arrival of December. The 11-month journey back to the most amazing month of the year (November) will begin then. Turkey friends it is Sunday so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. I think this has become essential to keep in this new thread as we have a very busy 5 days of posting here. And as you know Monday will begin a brand-new segment as YouTube Day will begin on Monday. This could be a real mixture of things to keep things interesting throughout the year but of course always with some Thanksgiving theme-related type of activity. Turkey friends I hope your week has been as special as mine has. This week truly might be the best week of the year. I know Christmas week may challenge it when it arrives later next month but for now, I’m sticking to my thoughts. The best to you my turkey friends and I hope your weekend, and week ends in style.
