Christmas Countdown - 2009

good afternoon all!

hope everyone has had a nice week so far?

it's my very special, wonderful grandmother's 90th birthday on friday. we plan on hosting a little party and cracking open the champagne, i'm very excited! i just love this time of year, autumn's on the way and i get in festive mode all over again!

90? How exciting! It is great that she is still capable of celebrating such a birthday with family, too! My grandmother turns 95 this year, but she lives in a nursing home and aside from my dad, brother and her brother's small family of three, everyone has either moved out of town or are no longer with us... Still, she is in great spirits every time I see her. Very sharp and pleased for her age. But, yes, hopefully it is a fun occasion. An accomplishment as big as 90 certainly demands celebration!

Here we are at the midpoint to another week. I just got back from doing some work this morning. I had to drive a hour to do 45 minutes of work and then an hour back home. I left at 6 am to avoid the 7am rush hour. Now I am thinking that a nap this afternoon may be in order. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Been a crazy busy week for us all. My eldest daughter is getting ready for college so we are running around looking for needed items (anyone have a futon mattress they no longer want? cheesy)

Unfortunately, I gave mine away to a friend last year because I had no room for it when I moved. It was only about three years old, too. :? It provided me with a couple years of sleep attending college in Kitchener. Great condition. Good luck finding one!

Good day, everyone!

Only a week away from the 2/3 mark and it's Wednesday. Two reasons to be excited! The humidity in Ottawa has seemingly calmed down - at least for today. It will be a comfortable 29C today, which is around low 80s... This means that the gym will not be sweltering hot when I get there after work. Hooray!

Good luck with the start of your position as principal, ballcoach. I am sure you will do great!! Good luck to your niece, too, Crown. NCSU is quite an accomplished university to get into. I am sure she will love it there as well.

*****HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!***** I'm so glad Crown is offering coffee at the pines today!! Actually, this is my Friday as I am off work the rest of the week! YAY!!!!! Will be putting up tomatoes tonight & probably tomorrow too! Oh joy!!! But it's so yummy in the winter! I canned 13 pints of peach salsa last night! YUM!!

Hey guys! Hope eveyone had a great day! We just keep on rolling towards the day we all love the most! The season is coming fast!

HOT as can be here today....but that's cool....(oxymoron??).....had a nice little shower last night...looked at my flowers this morning and they were SO BEAUTIFUL....until a dog got in them this afternoon and tore them up (some of them at least)....dang dog....i chased it out of flowers, down the street, and right back into our house and asked my wife to not let our dog out anymore......EVER.....haha...seeing as how she broke them coming after me....it's ok! Have a great one tomorrow!
