Christmas Countdown - 2009

Yawn! I'm tired...but I'm fighting....watching the NFL Network...hope everyone had a good day today....going to be GREAT weather here this weekend...going to get some rain Friday night and the highs this weekend in the upper 70's...and it's still August! It's actually going to get down into the low 50's this weekend during the night....AND IT'S AUGUST!!! One of the ol' timers (was my Dr. growing up) told me to expect the coldest winter in over 20 years....does that increase the chance of a White Christmas?? Oh, how I wish....oh, how I wish!

I'm itching for christmas already, or at least to get the outside lights up, a little less than 3 months :D soooo excited!this years display will be the best yet and I'll be sure to take pics!
 
Good Morning. Sun is shining, life is good....and I got to clean the house today....which is not so great...but still....gon get my second cuppa coffee
 
Morning all. 7:41am...yawwwn. Yes Im at work. I have been up since 5am. I was at Walmart yesterday and saw they were getting the halloween stuff out. They had two isles of it so far! I bought my first Christmas present yesterday for my wife. Hope everyone has a good day. Tomorrow night I might light my pine wreath Yankee candle!!!!!!!

Your Arkansas weather and my St. Louis weather seem to have been the same all summer. It has been hard to believe, eh? We've got the same weekend weather forecast and I am pretty excited about it! You know, I always thought that I liked hot weather until this year when it never got hot. I've realized that I really kind of dig this!

I think your old timer friend is right, though - I bet we're going to get our booties kicked with the cold this winter. And I KNOW! that I don't love the cold. If it will get us a white Christmas, though, I think I can sacrifice!
 
Happy Thursday everyone!

Today is my birthday and I am going to have a fabulous celebration by: going to a MOPS open house (way too early in the AM for my birthday liking), go renew my drivers license, and then renew my license plates for the car. And don't forget the ever fabulous - get work done. When did birthdays become so drab??

No, actually, I'll go out with my DH and DD this evening for dinner and for lunch I have a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory to enjoy. Yay!

As for the count, I caught my niece reading a book yesterday called "Santa Paws" about a dog at Christmas. I was telling her about there only being 121 days until Christmas and we both were SO excited! I can't believe that we are now three weeks away from double digits!!! I so love counting down to Christmas with you guys!

We are nearly through yet another work week on our journey back to Christmas.

Let's check on our progress:
Days to the Season: 78
Days to Christmas Day:120
We have now moved under 3 weeks to our next Milestone, the 100 day marker to Christmas Day.
Then, if you will check our handy-dandy chart at post 1 of this thread, you will see just how near the following milestones are after that.
Looks like we are starting to get close to that time of the year when things begin to move quickly!

Some sun here this morning on the final day predicted to be dry.
Got to that lawn yesterday (although I got bogged down a time or two in all the heavy grass!).
We stand at 76 degrees, currently.

Wow, you guys are lucky! It's still in the 90's down here and humid as a greenhouse...LOL!

Good Morning Christmas friends! I havent been on here to post..been busy with the new baby. Hope everyone is doing well. Cant believe how close we are getting to the Season! Maryland weather is suppose to be beautiful the next week..after today should be in the mid to upper 70's!

Well I do enjoy the cold weather.......and I have already started stocking up on coffee. Have a large canister and 2 smaller ones in the pantry so far and large opened canister next to the coffee pot!
 
Good Thursday morning, everyone!

I tried to pressurewash the house yesterday, but the washer kept shutting off. My brother, who was out of state, talked me through cleaning the carburetor over the phone...and it worked! Now, I'm a handy guy; I have lots of experience in electrical wiring and plumbing, but I know nothing about engines. My brother is a mechanical wizkid, and my dad was a construction genius, so we all had our areas of expertise.

Anyway, it was dark by the time I got it running, so pressurewashing got moved to this afternoon. I can't wait. :-?
