Even closer for Canadian Thanksgiving! :) I love it too. Gathering with family is AWESOME..oh yeah and the turkey is good too hehe

One of my favorite days!!! It feels like another Christmas Day for me!!!! I already have my tree up on Thanksgiving and my company don't seem to mind a bit. cheesy

I can't wait. I love thanksgiving. Everyone sitting around eating and then spending all afternoon going through the black friday ads planning out our shopping trip for the next morning. I am getting excited just thinking about it.

I love the holiday too.... I love all the treats and time to just sit and chat.... even washing dishes is fun at Thanksgiving :)

WOW, that is not far away at all...time to start thinking about the good food and company we'll share!

It will be here before you know it. This is when my whole family get into gear. It is getting excitin:cry:g!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if I would go THAT far! LOL But I agree - it is a wonderful holiday and I am completely looking forward to it!

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving as well, here in Canada its early enough that the weather is usually still pretty good! I look forward to cooking the turkey and having friends and family join us that day! I have been saving my airmiles that I collect and so far I can get $60 worth of gift certificates from A&P (Metro), so my Thanksgiving dinner will be almost paid for with these gift certificates. I will then start collecting them again for Christmas dinner. Last year, I collected enough to pay for our Easter dinner.

I love Thanksgiving. From that time on it's just such a great feeling. Everything is so festive and there's Christmas music on the radio, people are out and about shopping and every place you go is decorated for Christmas. I love it. I especially like Thanksgiving because I have the dinner at my house every year so it's a great day for me when I can cook and entertain at my house for the family. I start my decorating on Nov. 1st so most of my house is decked out for Christmas and I play Christmas music all through dinner. After dinner I make everyone watch something Christmassy on tv! Can't wait!!!!!! That's such a great weekend as well. All the decorating gets finished up.

I love Thanksgiving too....I can not wait..... We will have some of the outside lights up and the tree in the kids room up before Thanksgiving but we do most of the Christmas decorating Thanksgiving weekend. I like to enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner with all my fall/thanksgiving decorations out.

Jimmy T, you've posted only seven messages here at My Merry Christmas, but every one has advertised a certain Web site that caters office parties.

You wouldn't by chance be connected with this company?

I can't wait to bake/eat all the yummy pumpkin recipes!

It sounds like my niece (my Goddaughter) who just got married in July wants to host our families Thanksgiving in their new home this year! I am SO excited for her!!! I love hosting Thanksgiving, but to host it in your new home...That's just exciting! :D

After reading this thread, I am NEAR GIDDINESS with excitement!
Thanksgiving Day we will set up our tree and begin decorating for Christmas!! Then, we will plan our Day After Thanksgiving Day Sale shopping trips!! LOL
I'm major, uber-squee, excited!!!! cheesy

Thanksgiving is just a pregame for Christmas! And it officially starts off the Christmas season! How many days now? :)

"Unofficially" might be the better word.

To Canadian Thanksgiving: 43 days (2nd Monday in October)
To American Thanksgiving: 88 days (4th Thursday in November)

Just this morning before coming into the forums, I counted the weeks until Thanksgiving.

13 weeks, alright! I look forward to Thanksgiving every year, not just for the food (and that's a big plus) but time with family and giving Thanks to God (which should be done every day), but this day is specially set aside for the purpose.

I love Thanksgiving, and this may sound crazy... But, I beleive it is my favorite of them all as everyone in America celebrates this day, or can if they so choose. It is the start of a great time of the year and well I wish that feeling coulf last with all the entire year for no matter what we should be thakful for what we do have and forget feeling bad or sad or mad for what we do not have...

So once in every year we throng
Upon a day apart,
To praise the Lord with feast and song
In thankfulness of heart.
