I too am starting on plans for this Christmas, already got my book going with notes for all kinds of good stuff! cheesy

So nice to know I'm not the only one planning for Christmas 2010. For years I had no one to be nutty about Christmas with but now I have you guys woohoo.

Howdy. Leaving snowy Salt Lake for rainy LA this morning. Made vacation plans by the glow of my still-up Christmas tree last night. I almost have my wife talked into keeping it up all year.

Oh yes! Leave it up all year!

We are leaving the basement decorated (heavily) for Christmas in early June. My son comes back from Afghanistan and we are planning his Christmas then. With mainly gag gifts, as we have already given his gifts to his wife. But I don't think he will mind, he still gets the best gift, he gets to meet his new son for the first time.
That is wonderful to keep it decorated for his return. I am sure he will enjoy it very much!

Hi Christmas friends! My 5 month old son Dylan is rolling over and scooting all over the place. I know he will be crawling soon enough and that is where the real trouble begins cheesy. Im looking forward to getting out of the month of January and a month closer to the Christmas season. My oldest son Evan will be celebrating his 3rd Birthday the 1st weekend of February and then there is Valentines Day...just get me through the next week and a 1/2. Im thinking of Spring (and Christmas of course) and hoping for some warmer weather. Hope everyone is doing good!
They grow so quickly!

You are in excellent company with us! cheesy

Was just talking to my friend and she is busy taking down her Christmas tree tonight. Very sad to do so, but it needed dusting so she thought she might as well put it away! :tree:

I got promoted, I was getting tired of hanging that mistletoe...YaY me!

Leave it up Jeff!!! Show us how it's done!!!

The Mrs. and I have talked about going artificial as the cats love to drink the dirty tree water and we could leave it up longer...We may just do it...Our neighbor has an artificial tree that I actually thought was real when we saw it...It was gorgeous!!!

1/4 of the way there is that close!!! Ya gotta love that!!! We got our Christmas gifts credit card bill...We didn't do half bad...I didin't faint or anything!!!

Jay

The only card I used this year was my Sears Card and I paid it off pronto when it arrived. I like it when there's no pressure.

About the tree ... I'm still on the search for the perfect artificial tree. The kind that looks like you went into the bush and cut it down. I've even checked through the stock at Bronners and still haven't found what I'm looking for. My parents have a half tree, you wouldn't know it by looking at it, they got it as a space saver after my dad stopped chopping down real ones. Maybe I can talk him into a real tree for 2010 so we can venture back out like the old days when I had to dig myself out of many snowdrifts before finding the perfect one.

Actually, the Shispering Pines was "inspired" by the Whispering Pines, as long-time readers know.

as I recall our New Jersey guy is responsible for the Shispering Pines....

Thanks. We get there a few times a year to visit our grown sons and grandchildren. I don't hit tourist spots too often we're busy bonding for most of it. I've been to all of the museums at least once and the Ex twice.

That's nice. A great place to visit! Hopefully it is not too far of a trip! I've been here for almost four years and don't think I've done anything tourist-like at all. It's kind of sad. I really need to get to a museum!

Hope everyone is doing great! Things here were hectic today. Was called in for a meeting a couple hours away and when I got there, 1/2 the people didn't show up! Ugh! Guess that is just how it goes sometimes. Coming up on the 25th of this month and I think I'm going to plan and work on the weekend closest to the 25th of each month. I've gotta do something because this year was way too crazy.

Hitting 1000 by the end of this weekend would be great! I'm going to be here on and off all weekend so I'm going to try to do my part! See ya tomorrow!

Been meaning to tell yall that I have been sneaking away for a few minutes each day to check out the sight. It's so much fun to do because it provides an escape. How many of you do this? This is like a home away from home; a place to come and get away from everything else. Anyways, just throwing that out there.

Made, you ready for this weekend?

cheesy Good Morning all!
Exciting to see so much activity so early in the year.
Get to visit my daughter in London tonight as I am droping off a busload near her place. Going to order some pizza and relax.

I can't wait!!!!!! This weekend really starts the build up to daytona for me. We have the colts playing on sunday in the AFC championship game and the Barrett Jackson car auction is on all day on saturday. I love to watch it and dream about the hot rod I want to build one day. Then next weekend is the 24 hours of daytona which really gets me excitied for racing to start.
