Hey All,
Sorry I havent been on. A few weeks ago I slipped on my driveway and broke the two major bones in my ankle. Im doing better right now. I do not need to get an operation (THANK GOD) but I will be in a cast for another 5 weeks or more. Because of the break I cant even wear an inflatable cast boot. Oh well. At least it will heal! Oh and my Son might be walking before I do haha. He is standing up if you allow him to hold onto something. Have a great day and great weekend!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, it's cold again...and windy! I'm going to try to stay indoors, if possible. Today is my father-in-law's birthday, and I think we're taking him out to eat. I always enjoy going out with my inlaws. They are the best!

And guess what? We are but 2 days away from our next Milestone!

So soon now, both parts of our tandem count will be in the 200's.
Wow!

Cold weather has returned along with some wind.
We stand just under 34 here in Raleigh at this hour.
All of yesterday's light snow is gone, however.

Spring....did somebody say spring? I can't wait! I love to sit in the afternoons and watch the Martins fly. We have several Martin houses and that is what I love to do in the afternoon!
!

We sell Martin houses at my job. I would love to get one. I bet that is fun to watch. Right now I have 2 bird feeders and a hummingbird feeder. I just love watching how busy the hummingbirds are. I can't wait until they return.

Well, hubby slept better last night and is now back to work - so I'm going back into cleaning mode today! hehe

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I slept in today and just drinking my coffee. Last night my daughter and grandchildren came to visit. We put on some dancing music and the grandchildren and I were dancing around having fun then suddenly my grandson started gasping and coughing. He had an asthma attack! Thank God I have a nebulizer at my house for my son. My grandson took a treatment and got better real quick. Wow, these kids have been sick too much. I feel just awful that my grandchildren have asthma. My mother had it, I had it, my son has it and now them. :-? My mother and I outgrew ours.

Something cute while my grandson was here. He wrote a letter to Santa Claus and asked me to mail it to him. They think it's Christmas 24/7 at my house. Which is true! cheesy

Sorry to hear that and you are lucky that you didn't have to have it operated on. My mom can tell you that it is not a very fun surgery. I hope you heal quickly!!!!!!

One of the things I love most about summer is sitting out on the porch in my rocking chair and watching the humming birds fly all around. My neighor has feeders out all around the building so there are usually a couple of them around.

I am off to a slow start again this morning. I haven't done much of anything yet expect watch the news and make up a new bread pudding recipe to try. It cooks for 6 hours in the crock pot so it will be ready for dessert after dinner. I think the majority of my afternoon is going to be spent helping my brother in law pick up two new mattresses and box springs. Then it will be back home to watch nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would pass out. That would scare me to death!

It's scary! You would think I would be use to it since I have been around it all my life with my son and myself. I am just glad we have a nebulizer machine handy with medication in case of an emergency. My son is almost 20 years old and gets them sometimes and I panic! I keep a close eye on him until he starts breathing better. The nebulizer usually works immediately but if it fails then off to the ER we go.

I made some buttery shortbread cookies today and spread strawberry cream cheese on them. They came out really good!

Well I just got home from helping my brother in law and found a ambulance and firetruck at my apartment building. My neighor in the apartment next to me collapsed a few minutes ago. Her husband said that she was in the bathroom and got dizzy. She then went and sat on the end of the bed and fell off. She is not very responsive so they are taking her to the local hospital. From what he described it sounds like she may have had a stroke. I am hoping that everything turns out okay because they are really good neighors and close friends.
