Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

Please forgive my terrible posting above. I couldn't help myself.

My son's not feeling well this week. He missed school yesterday, but forced himself to go today. He's not running fever, so I left it up to him. He's afraid of all the make-up work if he misses another day. I hate that kids have to make grown-up decisions like that these days. When I was a kid, if you missed school because you were sick, you had to do some make-up work, but not hours and hours worth. I think he is feeling a little better, and I plan to get him out a little early today.

Well, I had hoped for warmer temps but I got up to 29 degrees on the thermometer this morning. We are currently at 32 chattery degrees.
The weather service still promises mid to upper 50's for the weekend and 60's by Monday. We shall see.

It's fun and addictive to work out once you get into the routine. I did for 5 years and loved it. I am back at it again walking and running 1 to 2 miles per day. Eventually increase that. I would like to join my brother in a 3k run sometime. He runs those a lot and does well in his age category. He has placed 1st several times. I don't plan to go into it to win but to just have fun!

Thanks! It was one of the tougher workouts last night. I ended up collapsing on the floor after it was completed. That has not happened in a while!! Running is always a good thing. Winning is especially fun, but just enjoying yourself while you are doing it is important too. I ran competitively in high school and did fairly well at Regional and Provincial ("State") levels. I've been in the workout routine for about two years now and have only taken a break of about 2 weeks maximum to heal. It feels great and I am constantly seeing results on the field, so that is what matters to me! It's all worth it as long as I can help my team.

Good morning, everyone!!

We were supposed to work on a new program today at work, but that appears to be delayed. I've never worked a Friday at this job. It's fairly dead and we're having issues with the new software. Maybe I shouldn't have come in?! Oh well. I'm getting paid anyway.

2500!!!! I may have been the 2500th post if Brad hadn't cheated!! I'm kidding. Good work, Brad!!! Thanks for digging up the old dates, too, coach. We're way ahead of schedule. Must keep it up!

It's another beautiful day here in Ottawa. Temperature could reach +5C as long as the wind dies down. This weekend should be fantastic with temperatures reaching 7 and 8C on both days!! The snow is almost gone and I'm sure it will be melted by Sunday! My mom and her husband are flying to Cuba today for a week long vacation. I spoke with her this morning and she seems excited! I am, too. I hope they have a great time and it warms up down there for them!

Good Morning...A little cooler out today and so far no rain and snow as the weatherman had predicted. I plan to go out of town to do a little shopping. I am throwing a baby shower for my sister next Saturday and need to pick up stuff for it. Sooooo glad it's Friday!! Have a great day everyone!

I hear ya as far as the homework makeup. I hope he gets better!

This is not regarding makeup assignments but just regular homework. I remember when my daughter was in 4th grade the homework assignments were insane. She would get hours of it nearly every night. We would try to go to church on Wednesday nights but sometimes she got so much homework we would have to just stay home. She was too worn out to go. She also had other activities to go to and it was just too much. I thought it was just me complaining but the other parents were complaining as well. Don't get me wrong, I respected the teachers and we got along well but it was just part of the curriculum. The next year they lightened up on it and there was not near as much homework.

I am enjoying the day off today. I work all weekend. Just a few hours tomorrow to help on the counter so the other employees can take their lunch break. Then a full day Sunday. It will be a good weekend. I love where I work the people I work for! I sure am going to be tired though. We are soooo busy this time of year!

Tomorrow night, Hubby is going to take me on a "date". I am really looking forward to that. I can't wait. I don't really know exactly what we are going to do, but anything is fine with me as long as it is stress free and relaxing.

Well here we are at the end of another week and I am glad to see this one go. I left early to go work this morning and just got home. The rest of the day is going to be spent kicking back and relaxing. Nascar practice start in about an hour so I will turn it on and play on the computer for the rest of the afternoon. I have alot of cleaning that I am behind on but I will put that off until tomorrow. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a house in my sisters housing edition that still has their tree in the window and still turns it on everynight. I am surprised that her home owners assocation hasn't made them take it down yet.

That's the way it is for us right now in the 5th grade. There's so much homework that we don't really have a family life. It's just do homework, eat supper, do homework, take a bath, do homework, go to bed. It really is a shame.

Spent some time this afternoon selecting daylily bulbs for my garden. There were such pretty colors to choose from, and I got some of each. Now I just have to wait until the frosts are gone......

Good Evening Everyone...
I buzzed out of town as planned and got back a couple hours ago. I got my shopping done and have most of everything for the baby shower. My sisters baby is due next month. This will be her third child and another son. She was hoping for a little girl but will take what the good Lord gives her. As long as he is happy and healthy that's all that matters. I can't wait to hold him. Other than that life is good! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!cheesy
