already after 9:30 here and finally checking in. It was my brothers 50th birthday so we where out there all day having fun. Lots of people stopped by all afternoon so it was a busy place. Lots of good BBQ and other food for all to enjoy.
Now, I am tired and going to bed as soon as I drop my daughter at work for the night shift. cheesy

Long day today, mainly because I worked for most of it. I had my lunch in my car today so I could listen to the overtime period of the Boston Bruins - Philadelphia Flyers game and the Bruins won! My 5 y/o started T-ball today (I missed it cuz of work) but he really had fun and enjoyed it he has been asking to play it for a couple of years now, he is finally old enough. Have a good night all!

My hubby always eats lunch in the car during his break at work to listen to sports radio. I am glad your little one had fun with t-ball! My grandson tried to get into football a year ago but kept having asthma problems which caused him to sit out. I sure wish he could get it under control because he would like to get into more sports.

Good Sunday morning everyone!

I have had a very busy weekend and today will be very busy as well. I slept later than I should have but it felt great! We have Sunday school, church then I am off to work.

The owner at my work keeps telling me to relax and enjoy church and don't rush to get in too early. We don't open until 1 pm but I usually go in 30 minutes-1 hour early to feed the animals before we open. He told me to take my time and go have lunch before work and don't worry about going early. He is so nice! I still make it about a half hour early though and it doesn't interfere with the church service.

Shortly after I started working there, my dog was sick and I went to work and was trying to put on a happy face but the owner knew something was wrong. I figured my job is not going to care if I have a problem at home. He pulled me off to the side and asked if I am ok. I told him about my dog and he insisted I go home and take care of my dog. I was blown away by his compassion. I just asked if I could make a phone call and check on my him just to see if he is ok and I would see if I need to leave or not. My dog was much better so I stayed at work. Him and his wife and the rest of them are awesome people! I just love them all, they are family to me. It's probably the reason the business has been around for over 80 years. He has owned it for probably 30 years but has worked there for nearly 70 years. He is still very active and can run circles around us! cheesy

Anyone have big plans for today?

Well, our Weekend is over half through.....
And our Season count draws ever closer to that mark, too:
Days to the Season: 195
Days to Christmas Day: 237
Yes Folks, we are now under 2 weeks away now from the 50% Season Milestone.
(After each Milestone, the time seems to move quicker, doesn't it?)

Sunny and breezy here, which is good since 94 is the predicted high for today and that wind will be needed!
We currently stand already at just under 80.

OK! My first travel/volunteer alert of the year.
We are heading to the coast before noon tomorrow to start opening up our cottage for the pending Summer rental season.
A volunteer will be needed to post the countdown starting Tuesday morning.
We should be back late Friday, but if there is more to do than I expect, we might stay an extra day or two.

Well have a great rest of the Weekend, not to mention a Super Sunday!
