Christmas Countdown - 2010

Good afternoon, everyone.

It's sunny in Ottawa right now. Much nicer than the extreme wind and rain that was in Toronto on Saturday. Winds were probably more than 65 km/h, which made it very difficult to play and be outside. There was a bit of snow and wind on Sunday, but it was certainly not as much as Saturday. Somehow, the sun managed to burn my face even though I applied sunscreen quite often. As for the rest of the week, the temperature seems to be increasing and should return to seasonal. No more snow for the rest of the year - it was such an odd and late time to receive it!

I am certainly looking forward to our next milestone. Five days until halfway? Wow!! Have a great Monday, everyone.

Good Morning!

My hubby has off work today! We have enjoyed a 3 day weekend together. Tonight is my daughter's graduation. Looking forward to seeing family on her dad's side that will be there tonight. I have always been close to them all.

After having hot temps and the AC on over a week ago to the nice crisp cool weather we are having now makes me think of Fall. Not looking forward to hot hot temps and the HIGH humidity of summer yet to come.

I agree. I have had enough hot weather now and it wouldn't bother me a bit to skip right to fall.

I worked till 11:30 last night moving the washer, dryer, filing cabinets, etc. out of the utility room so my cousin could put the floor in this morning. I got a text from him at 7am this morning...he can't come till Thursday. Grrrr. :-? Now I have to move the washer/Dryer back in. We can't wait three days to wash clothes.

Jsut think about how beautiful those new floors are going to look and it won't be that bad. cheesy

I am home from work now and getting ready to start rearranging my apartment. Mom can start walking now without the walker so I can start to put things back to how I had them before. I might leave the living room the way it is through the summer because everyone likes it expect for me. It will have to be moved back to the old way when the electric heat gets turned back on. I hope everyone is enjoying their monday!!!!

My mom and dad have not put up a Christmas Tree in almost 20 years. They celebrate Christmas but just don't decorate. My dad found a box of Christmas lights in his garage yesterday and sent them over. I was going through the box and at the bottom of it I found several Christmas ornaments from when I was a kid! He didn't know they were in there, he just saw all the lights. I am thrilled to come across them and can't wait to put them on the tree!

I don't like the heat either. We are having rainy weather right now...which is great.

I too would like to skip to fall now please 4 months of heat is just yuck.

Good evening all!

Haven't been keeping up with this thread for a few days, not much really going on here. The kids have been dealing with a stomach bug, but they are fine.
Went to the in-laws for a last minute cookout for Mother's day we all enjoyed that very much. My Bruins and Penguins both lost tonight, better luck on Wednesday, I hope.
