Another east coaster here sharing your pain... when people say they LOVE the heat, I always just give them a quizzical look. How and why, I want to ask!!! Ugh, this miserable heat and humidity is the pits!

I agree with you, I HATE the heat and humidity, I prefer it cooler, I spend a lot of time in a freezer that is -10F below at work and people look at me like I am nuts, but it feels better than being in the humidity IMO.

aaaaaaaaaaargh....right now the health in my family ain´t good.....kandice has had problems with her stomach for the last week.....first one day of throwing up.....then two days later bad case of diharea...or however u write that......and guess who caught that stomach bug now....yup...it´s me....so now i´m home from work and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Kandice...who I didn´t send to pre-school today....so she doesn´t give my bug to the other kids...lol

Well I am getting ready to head out for my mini vacation. It looks like it is going to be extremely hot today but then it is going to cool down a little bit for the rest of the week. There are some storms around this morning so I have decided to take my moms car down instead of my truck. I don't want everything to get wet in the back of the truck. It should be a fun couple of days. I should be back sometime late friday just in time for our next milestone. I hope everyone has a GREAT COUPLE OF DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone !!

I just thought I would say hello before I start my shift today. It is also hot where I am and I hate the heat too. My respiratory status has been haywire lately with asthma so the heat makes it a bit harder. Doc upped my prednisone again so I am like a walking steroid factory !! But It will get better.......!!!! I hope everyone has a good day.

Could not sleep any longer and was up by 5am this morning. Taking a group to a pioneer village and the butterfly place today.

Yesterday was a wild day in Ontario with an earth quake near Ottawa and a tornado in Midland (under a state of emergency now). Fortunately everyone is ok.

Brittd19 -- you may be the only person posting right now who loves heat..... but I DO run into people who declare their love for the heat -- even when we are standing outside, in 100 degree heat with high humidity!!!! The variety is what makes life fun....... even if a lot of us have trouble seeing "fun" in 100 degree temperatures!!!

I stayed inside ALL day yesterday..... and discovered that you CAN get cabin fever during summer! So.... I'm going outside today!!!! Walking slow.... carrying a water bottle........

I do not like the heat here. In Texas with temps up to and above 100 degrees you can't do anything outside. As SparkleNana mentioned, cabin fever! At 7 am this morning it's already too hot to step outside. I opened my door, went on the porch and came right back in. It's miserable and cannot enjoy being out there. The only thing you can do right now is go swimming, which is fun but can't go every day. I tend to get ill more often in the summer than I do winter.

Britt, I wish I was in Canada! I am sure the summers there are great! Your summer there is like our spring here. Nice and warm but not miserable. Try spending it here and you would hate it, lol! It's just like I love winter but I am sure you all up there get sick of it real quick. cheesy

Oh yes, that too. Heat can make it difficult. I am sorry you have to deal with asthma. My son, grandson and granddaughter suffer from that too. I had it when I was a child but outgrew it. I hope you get well soon!

Cold water tastes good. And.... I read that drinking cold water can help you lose weight! Because... your body has to expend calories to warm the cold water up to body temperature!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I left the Vacation Bible School early yesterday afternoon to try to cut my grass. The mower battery was dead, so I got the charger out and finally got it cranked. Then I found a flat tire. The mower was not near my shop, so I grabbed my portable air tank...no pressure. So I fired up the big compressor to pressurize the portable tank. Waiting. Finally get enough pressure in the tank, then the sun sets. I'm dirty & sweaty, and the grass is still not cut. :-? That's what I get for skipping out on church, huh? LOL

97 degrees here yesterday and the predicted high for today is 101.
A nice afternoon rain yesterday cooled things off for a while, but the heat came right back with even more humidity. Oh, well.
We currently stand at 80 under calm, sunny skies.

OK. You all have a Thrilling Thursday and great next few days.
I plan to be here bright and early on Wednesday the 30th, anxious to see how far the count has moved!

Guess i could fill you guys in on my life since i never really have hahahaha

the last month i've been off on stress leave from work..due to management..well today my doctor gave me another month off..which would be nice... but I can't handle not working anymore!!! So i've decided to go out and look for a new job... there's one i am really interested in! I'd be a receptionist/apprentice for a salon & spa ... hopefully I'll get the job!!cheesy My friend works there, and she said the managers seemed excited about my resume & we're already in talks of interviewing me!! :cry:
Also in the past year i've lost some weight.. but now am at a stand still.. i don't know if my scale is broken...or if im plateauing for a very long time..(6 months long)... BUT I keep gaining and losing the same 8 pounds!! anyone have any tips?!!!?

Goodluck finding a new job and also with the weight weight loss..I know it seems like you get to a certain point where it does become quite a bit harder to lose anymore weight!
