When we took our train trip I took my laptop and watched a Christmas movie on the train. I love my laptop!

Sounds like you had a blast! I miss the days with "the girls!" My best friend passed away almost a year ago and another friend is busy with other stuff. :sad: Ahh! Sorry, I shouldn't come on here with sad things. I got a lot of family and a great husband, we do a lot of fun things! Just cherish your time with your sister! cheesy

I am just sitting here in a quiet house watching Just Friends it is a movie that takes place during Christmas, my wife and sister did a Friendly's run for sundaes, my diet is suffering I am afraid to step on the scale after this week. We went swimming at my father's house for a few hours today the boys loved it, I am very tired tonight so I will wish you all a good night!

I can relate to the fear of the scales. Just don't be too hard on yourself. Even if you gained, it can come off again. We all have times when we go up or down on the scales. I lost 40 pounds for the umteenth time and it has been off for 6 months but it has not been without challenges. Pat yourself on the back !! You deserve it. Hope you have a very pleasant evening too !!

I agree. I too came here so depressed after Christmas as I usually am looking for relief of post-Christmas depression. What has evolved is a relationship even though we do not know each other with wonderful people like you Xmas365, Christmasaholic, Bradmac, Made582, ChristmasHeart, Ballcoach, and really everyone !!! Yes, we are a family. A family of Christmas folks. What better family is there than that ???

Good morning, Christmas Friends!

Well...we had family over yesterday and they all stayed later than expected. I didn't get a chance to be on MMC - and I missed you! :rudolph:
We had such a good visit though! The guitars came out after dinner, while sitting on the back porch. Many (and I say..."many") years ago I sang in a band. I haven't sang for years (aside from the car...while cleaning...etc.) and they asked me to sing! WOW! Did that ever feel good! They really gave me such a good "lift" with compliments! Yup...we'll be doing it again!

Nope...no Christmas songs though. I don't think they would have appreciated it as much as I would. cheesy

So - its Monday morning once again. I've got a very busy day ahead of me at work. That also means I've got to wait until this evening to check to see how all my Christmas friends are doing!

Anyway - just wanted to stop in and wish you all a very good morning, and a merry day!

I have a cake competition to get ready for. Only found out about if on Saturday so only have until this Saturday to get ready for it!
It will be "Alice in Wonderland" theme.

First, I have to do some running around and get another styrofoam piece for the base (going to be a fake cake, no time to bake a real one!)

I am sorta awake, need more coffee! I have the grandkids coming over shortly and hope I am well enough to keep them all day. I have been in bed sick all weekend. Fever is down today but trying to get my energy back.

Hi all!

I MISSED THE PREMIERE!!! I can't believe it! It was storming reeeally terribly on Saturday and Jude and I spent the day with my dad so we planned to go with my hubby on Sunday... but our real estate agent said we could go into our new house (almost 2 weeks before we buy it!) and rip up the carpets if we wanted to! Of course, my husband couldn't resist getting a head-start on the project so we spent the whole day over there, ripping our carpets and painting. I just took staples out of the beautiful hardwood for HOURS... what a pain!!!! But there are beautiful 110 year old hardwood floors under that hideous blue, stained carpet, so that was great! And our little 2.5 year old was so well-behaved - he LOVES construction projects! (Good thing b/c we have so many coming up!)

Thanks for hte reminder about HSN's Christmas special on Wednesday! I am so excited now, although theirs it not nearly as good as QVC's.

Hope you are feeling better, Christmas-a-Holic. I've had a nasty cold for over a week now and I know how tough it is to be sick in the summer!

Hope you all have a lovely day! My grandmom and I are going to go out searching for vintage jars and vases for my sister's wedding.. she's doing a candy table (mmm!) and really wants it to look vintagey and unique. Should be fun! Maybe I can sample some candy along the way, hehe.
