Today was my parent's 40th anniversary. Talk about time flying....I can vividly remember my Dad's 40th birthday...next year he turns 60....can't believe it!

Hey guys! Been a long day and I'm just getting done. About to head to bed, but not before I come tell everyone hello! Think I'm going to read the rest of the board and then turn in for the night. Hopefully, I will have some time tomorrow night. See ya then!

The long weekend sure was great - but now its time to get back to the routine of work.
It was nice being able to come here whenever I wanted to over the weekend. I will miss you all today!

Good Morning MMC !
Problems still with cable tv, internet and phone working but tv is not. Called the company this morning and they will be sending someone out to have a look see.
I have to head out on the road to get my daughter and pick up another cake decorating item I need for a wedding cake I am doing.

Good Morning, once again, my Friends.
And once again it is overcast but with no prediction of rain.
We stand at 74 currently - another nice, walkable morning as long as nothing falls from the sky.
The count:
Days to the Season: 102
Days to Christmas Day: 144
Close - so very close - to the 100-day Season window!
(Seems impossible we should be so near double digits, doesn't it.)
Well, sad news for traditional Christmas music lovers.
Saw on the TV late yesterday that Mitch Miller died on Saturday at the age of 99. I have his complete collection of wonderful, arrow-straight traditional Christmas songs which I make it a point to play every season.
My earliest music memory was coveting his "Sing Along With Mitch" record albums when I was a small child in the late '50's and early '60's.
So far, the member vote is 5-1 in favor of me keeping the old crown avatar, but the polls are still open!

Well the heat has returned here in central Indy. They are calling for a high of 94 today with scattered storms. I am thinking about going and buying a new digital camera today. My current one is almost 6 years old and 75% of the pictures I take with it turn out way to dark. So I am going to head to walmart and see what they have and since walmart is right next to hobby lobby I will stop in and see if they have got any new christmas stuff in. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no doubt you'll pick up guitar easily. Those finger tips will hurt for a while, but one day you'll realize they don't hurt anymore.
My dad taught me chords, but I can't read music. I can only play by ear. My son is learning now, and I'm helping, but he's getting formal lessons, too. Hopefully, he'll surpass me and I can play rhythm in his band one day! cheesy
Good morning, everyone!!
My long weekend has apparently come and gone. Hard to believe there is only one more long weekend of summer - Labour Day. Kim and I had a fun time in Cornwall. We enjoyed seeing her family, especially her three young nephews (twins will be 4 in November and the youngest is three months). The food was also absolutely delicious! I always look forward to her mom's cooking - it never disappoints. I ate a bit too much, but will definitely work it off throughout the week. An extra hard workout in the gym tonight will be the start.
The only downfall of the weekend was that we could not move some things into our apartment. We stopped in as we returned from Cornwall, but our keys would not work. Kim had planned to paint yesterday. She will now do that tonight, instead. The big move will happen on Saturday and we are all very excited!!
It is supposed to be a wet and humid day in Ottawa. 5-10 mm of rain. Honestly, I would not mind a canceled practice due to rain. There is way too much happening this week and I do not believe I am going to Nationals as money, moving, teachers college are definitely preventing me from doing so.
The good news is that we are only two days from our next milestone! Two days! And, as of Friday, it will be very nice to see that Days to the Christmas Season count reach double digits! Three total milestone this month, which will certainly make it go by much faster. Before we know it, there will be plenty signs of fall on display before our very eyes!
Well, I should certainly get back to work. Barely over an hour until noon. For the first day back after a long weekend today is already flying by! Hopefully it keeps up! Have a great Tuesday, everyone!!

Well I am back from walmart and hobby lobby. I was disappointed that hobby lobby hasn't gotten anything new in since the last time I was there. I did buy a cheap 12mp digital camera at walmart though. So now I am ready to take pictures of all the christmas events coming up.
What is the camera that you purchased, made? If you do not mind me asking.
We just bought a Samsung camera that also takes video and LOVE IT! It was the least expensive one with the lithium batteries that you can recharge. I was leary if it would be any good being so inexpensive. It was around 90 bucks. Of course if you are looking for something with a lot more features, this one might not be for you. There were cheaper ones but took regular batteries, which would need to be changed more often.
