Well it is 12:25 at night and it still feels like 93 degrees outside. Winter can't come quick enough for me.

Well I am up past my bedtime once again. I think it may have something to do with Bingers suggestion of drinking 12 machiattos from starbucks every evening to get a goodnights sleep. Well I am off to get try and get some rest. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!!!

ChristmasHeart, have fun playing guitar! I actually tried it when I was 15. It about killed my fingers! Lol!

HA! Yup...fingers are very tender this morning! Do you still play?

Good evening all!

I saw the first sign of Christmas at Walmart today, it was the Better Homes and Gardens Christmas Crafts magazine right at the checkout. It is amazing how fast the season is coming. Just a matter of weeks until Christmas merchandise is in every store. My boys had a blast at Old Sturbridge Village, they loved the animals and everything about the place, they are going back on Saturday. I will be working so I miss out again.

May Christmas trees and twinkle lights warm your dreams tonight!

Ya...I love it when I first see the Christmas magazines at the check-out isles! Glad to hear the boys had fun! I just love the way you ended your post cheesy!

And a good morning to you, Christmas friends!

Sleep did not come easily to me and it was difficult staying asleep too. I maybe got 5.5 hours, if that. Looks like a nap on the train is on the agenda for this morning.

I saw a man yesterday with a seeing eye dog. I cannot tell you the feeling I get when I see those dogs! They are so gentle and sweet! My heart melts.

Speaking of dogs...Mercedes is having some itching problems. No - she doesn't have fleas either. I gave her a bath on the weekend thinking that might help - but it hasn't. Maybe her skin is just dry from this yucky weather. Come to think of it...this yucky weather does nothing for my hair too! Don't know if it will ever go back to normal cheesy.

Anyway - gotta get ready for work. Thoughts of Christmas will be dancing in my head...and I hope the same goes for you!

Have a merry day!

Good Morning MMC !

HOT, HOT, HOT ! Yes it is hot and steamy here, already 21c and only 7am. PTL for airconditioning!! Somebody throw me a snowball.
:snowball:

I got a clothes dryer yesterday, for free. My neighbours where moving and their new place came with one so they gave me this one. It is only 2 years old (a Maytag)

I have not had a dryer for years, just never bothered. (sure hope the hydro does not end up going to high because of it!)

No I don't. It was a very brief phase I went through. My brother, his friend and my boyfriend, at the time, all played guitar (they still do). The friend of my brothers left his electric guitar at our house and I asked if he mind I played it. The guitar stayed at our house for a week (very brief phase as I mentioned, lol), he came and picked it up and I just didn't bother playing again. I am sure I could have used my brother's or boyfriend's but just lost interest.

I think all the working dogs are so sweet! When we went on our train trip I wanted my chihuahua with me so bad! The only dogs allowed on the train are working dogs. I have seen them on the train too. I joked with my husband that I am going to put one of those vest on my dog and claim he is a working dog. Lol. Well the funny thing is, we get to Chicago and outside the train station I see this couple walking a chihuahua and I saw a vest on it. I made a joke about it being a working dog but knew it was just some article of clothing. Upon closer inspection I saw it was a WORKING DOG! I told my husband I can bring him! I have no idea what that dog could do. As far as I am concerned my dogs are my "therapy" dogs. They make me extra happy!

Send me a message on Mercedes skin condition and I will see what I can find out what to use on her. At my job we sell animal products of all kinds, from domestic animals to farm animals. We have various skin treatments for dogs for different kinds of skin problems.

My parents refuse to get a dryer. We never had one growing up. We just hang dry all our clothes. It seemed to work out fine and really saved on electricity!

My dogs are having the same problem. I think it is dry skin, also. Took them to vet and they gave them a shot. It helped alot!

Crown's avatar needs to be a pillow..,..
Or perhaps a crown ON a pillow.
Or maybe a crown on a pillow next to an open window with a gentle rain falling outside.
Now there's a thought!
(But I may need to sleep on it)

Good Morning my friends, whether you be sleepy or hyper.

Another day -- another count figure.
(And we are oh so close to an important Milestone!)
Days to the Season: 101
Days to Christmas Day: 143
No chart reference is needed to see that tomorrow we pass through the 100-day Season window and on into the double-digit zone where things seem to start moving in fast motion.
Better get ready!

Once again it is overcast but with the weather service giving us a low chance of rain.
We stand just under 80 degrees here in Raleigh at this hour.

OK!
It's the peak-of-the-week once again! The Shispering Pines! Tea! Fired Twinkies! Carl!
Christmas-themed fellowship!
Last one there is a rotten coffee bean!
(Are you ready, Holiday?)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

Less than 200 till we see our August goal. That is

Double Yabba!

Less than 400 until we surpass last year's post total!!

-Thanks to coach for pointing out that there were 411, too.

They did....18 and 17....

Wow! Great on them for knowing they were meant to be at such a young age!

Good evening all!

Great to hear your sons enjoyed the village. Of course, thank you for letting us know about the Christmas sighting! Amazing! I was in Wal-Mart on the weekend and searched for signs of Christmas. I could not find any. The closest I came was all the Back to School supplies and advertisements. The magazines certainly are some of the first items that prepare us for the holiday season, however. Very excited to hear about that!

Strangely enough, I seem to remember Lowe's putting out Christmas decorations in July last year? I thought Bradmac posted about this? Well, I do not entirely recall... Just curious if anyone else remembers. Only a few weeks until Halloween fills the stores and Christmas begins to sneak its way in! I love this time of year.

^I don't remember either, Brent. The old noodle just ain't what it used to be.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've just been working this week, trying to get caught up. My father-in-law owns the general store here in our small town, and he's up early in the mornings, cooking breakfast bisquits. He's planning to go fishing this weekend with his son (my brother-in-law), and asked if I'd open the store for him on Friday till the morning girl gets there, and then run it all day Saturday for him. Of course I will! He and my mother-in-law do so much for us, I could never repay them!

Anyways, that's what's happening around here this week.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, everyone!!

Oh, the humidity! It already felt like 32C when I woke up this morning at 7:30 AM. As of 9 AM, it was already up to 35C. Quite impressive when the humidex is listed as 11C above the regular temperature. I had a bit of a busy day yesterday. The gym after work definitely made me feel a bit better after all the delicious food on the weekend. Practice was fun. It poured for about 10 minutes, too, so we were soaked while playing for a couple hours... Then, the night was capped off with some painting.

Kim painted our bedroom at the new apartment while I was at practice. She had not yet finished and wanted me to hangout and help a little while she finished. I managed to paint what she asked and then fell asleep on the floor. We don't have any furniture yet and I was exhausted. I managed to sleep for more than an hour on a hardwood floor - somehow! I think we are bringing over some dishes and other things this evening. I can't wait to be all moved in on Saturday!

101 more days to the Christmas Season! Again, more of the reason to be excited for the rest of the week - besides the weekend, of course. The 100 Day Milestone is tomorrow and then we get our first taste of double digits since last year! Quite the accomplishment!

Have a great Wednesday, everyone!! The better side of the week is only a couple hours away!

I'll have to do some detective work to figure it out! Maybe I am wrong!

It is already 85 here and it feels like 94 degrees at 10:10 in the morning. I am definitely ready for summer to be over.

I will ask my neighbor if she has seen any christmas decorations. She is a cashier at Lowe's.

Well it is going to be another hot day here in central Indy. Thankfully it is not going to be as hot as some places around the country are going to get. My plan for today is to stay inside and enjoy the air conditioning. I also need to get some paperwork done for work. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
