On my way to work and I was thinking about all my Christmas friends. I may not be here as much as I was (and I'm hoping that will change) - but I just want you to know that I think about all my Christmas friends...and that I hold Christmas in my heart!

Well...the weather sure has changed over the last few weeks. I was noticing everyone with the coats on outside - and it just made me more excited about the Christmas season! No more trying to "imagine" cold weather. No more imagining Christmas decorations...because its all starting to happen now!

Got up earlier than I wanted to but I have been nursing a stray cat back to better health in the past few days.

The sweet stray cat that hangs around our neighborhood, we named Larry, showed up the other day with congestion, runny nose, eyes and unable to meow. Ugh! It breaks my heart! I am pretty sure it's an upper respiratory infection.

I sometimes will not see him for days or even weeks then he shows up on my doorsteps like he is asking for help. I have some antibiotics and have been trying to treat him. He left the other night and Wayne and I drove around looking for him the next morning. I found him and brought him back to my house and this time he hasn't left. He sleeps on my porch or under a bush. He is starting to eat better so I am hoping he will recover. He is also started to meow since some of the congestion is going away. I would give anything to bring him in but I am to the limit of pets in my rental house. I also cannot chance him infecting my other cats. My neighbor feeds him too and watching out for him as well.

Some have suggested that treating him might be a waste because he will just get sick again being outside but ignoring him is not an option for me. I will not sit back and watch an animal suffer.

I want to visit Canada someday. Well, it's starting to feel like fall. This morning it was about 47 degrees but it's going up to about 80 today. The Holidays are fast approaching and I'm starting to get that excited feeling!

Good afternoon! (Well, good noon - it's exactly 12!)

Went for a nice walk to the park today... I actually got out of the house with both kids without incident or forgetting anything essential, so that's progress!

I got about an hour of sleep last night so most of my day will probably be spent lounging around... soooo tiiiiired!

LC & myself went to K-mart to see if the decorations were set and they had nearly 3 aisles set. They had a good selection of Peanuts Christmas decorations, Rudolph decorations, and a lot of Elvis decorations. LC liked the interactive toys the most. It was great to see it all, but IMO the lights seem rather expensive this year, maybe they are planning for some good sales on it as the season gets closer. All that was missing was the Christmas music. They also had a 6' tall interactive Jason from Friday the 13th in the Halloween area and he scared LC pretty well, I could not help but laugh as he just watched him as we went by him.

I think the lights ARE more expensive this year, at least the ones I have seen are ! Awwwww.....poor little LC....He should have known Freddy couldn't hurt him when he was with his SuperDad !!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!!! It is a warm day here with a high of 81. We are supposed to be down in the high 50's by Sunday though. I went out and worked all of my accounts east of Indianapolis today. It was a great drive through the country. When I got home I worked on my Christmas notebook for a little bit. I copied all of the craft fairs and events that have been announced so far onto the calendar that I keep in the notebook. It was great to see the calendar starting to fill up. This afternoon I need to run to the store and then I probably sit out and talk to my neighbors for awhile. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Me too and as much pain as I've experienced in the last three weeks, I miss not being able to go to the gym. I'm aiming to get a short work out in this Friday and then get back at it in "full swing" on Monday when I have my last physio appointment. Thankfully, I didn't crack any ribs.

I don't think he does because he does not have the typical symptoms of distemper, vomiting, diarrhea and unable to eat.

My cat had an upper respiratory infection when I found him and almost died. He is VERY healthy now! Thank God! Anyway, the stray cat has similar symptoms that my cat had. Watery eyes, nose, sneezing and lethargic.

He is eating (with distemper they usually refuse food) and when he showed up the other day sick he seemed hungry, we put some dry food out and was unable to eat it. I put some sliced turkey out and he gobbled it up but still seemed so ill. For the past few days I have been feeding him the jar baby food and can cat food. He was only eating just a little of it. Just about an hour ago he actually started eating the dry food that he was refusing before! I gave him some can food too and he ate the whole thing! His eyes are starting to clear some but he is still sleeping a lot.

Obviously he could still get distemper since he is a stray but I don't think that is what he has.

Maybe I will get him better and keep him. I will just hide him from the landlord. Lol!

Aww thanks! I have to give credit to Wayne, my son, my boss and my neighbor too. Between us all we are trying to get him better! My boss helped me get the medicine he needed and the rest are helping me keep him around to take his medicine and feed him. =)

To update from yesterday:
My mom is still in the hospital. Thankfully, they didn't let her leave. I am really struggling with this because I am angry about some of her choices and feel like she needs to make a real change before I can welcome her back into our lives.. but it's hard to ignore the multiple phone calls from the hospital from her. I just don't have anything to say at this point. I really hope she will take the help she is getting there.
