I just popped in. Back from Mass and a great ham dinner for pheasant hunters. I am stuffed (but not on the menu) and glad to relax a few minutes before bedtime. I have a meeting to attend and coordinate. Then I will be back home to continue grading papers while listening to Christmas music! Why, you might ask? THE SEASON IS HERE!!!

Morning!! Good luck with the bad habit cheesy

I'm just back in from a walk through the fields with the dogs. It was cold and damp and muddy. Do they care?? Not a jot! Do I care? D*mn right I do; one went to roll on the rug in the living room and the other one jumped on our bed.

Did I mention the mud????!!

Good morning, Christmas family !!

It is 7:03 a.m. and I just started my shift half an hour ago. I thought I would just take a break and say hello. Spent a really lovely day yesterday running around doing "stuff" for Christmas with my husband. First thing in the morning I went to check in at Jenny Craig where I get weighed monthly then we went about searching for the Christmas things we needed. When we got home I plugged in the ever present garland on the mantle and discovered a TON of lights out :-? So we took all the old lights off and put new ones on. Actually it was kind of fun. Some of the lights we removed were on the garland when we got it and had burned out so we just decided to redo the whole thing. By the time we finished getting all the old ones off and the new ones on we were so tired but it was so worth it !! The garland looks AMAZING now !!!

All is quiet here. Two of my caninine furkids are beside me sleeping in my chez lounge and one of my feline fur kids is also beside me on the arm of the same chez lounge. As for Smokey, my Siamese, he is on my "desk" sleeping happily underneath the lamp. He always has slept there since he was just a tiny baby and the warmth from the light must be pleasant to him as that is where he "parks" when I am working. Other than that all is going along same old, same old for Sunday.

Have a great Sunday my Christmas family !!!

:tree:

Our tree goes up in just 11 days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

Hi all! I haven't been around in a few days.. we've had a lot of stuff to do and have been running around a ton. I feel overwhelmed by Christmas things now (in a good way!) - it's all around us! I think I am going to start putting my fall thigns away and sloooowly sneaking out my decorations .. maybe my hubby won't notice, lol!
Missed ya all!

I have had the most wonderful weekend with my grandson!

Wayne, my grandson and I went to 2 different malls yesterday. They are so beautiful with lots of Christmas decorations. We even saw Santa in a little girls fashion show at Nordstroms. I had my camera with me so I got a picture of my grandson with him. I think I was more excited about seeing Santa than he was!

On the way home we saw Santa sitting at the bus stop! He was wearing sunglasses and waving at people as we passed by. I wish I would have got a picture of him but it was so congested with traffic we had to keep going.

It has been so nice to have my oldest grandchild with me. I never get to spend time with him alone.

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

Where's Brad?

Hey Brent!

Too bad Brad could not make it this year... But, we still have quite the group. Even my favourite Wisconsiner is here! Hi Medipaul!!
It looks like I missed a great intro to the season! I really wanted to be here, but I promised my father-in-law I'd run his store for him on Saturday to give him a day off, and I had to be there at 6 am. I gotta have my 8!

I worked for 13 hours and my feet were killing me; he does it 6 days a week and he's 74. I gotta man-up!

Getting ready for church right now. I'll check-in in a minute. cheesy

Brad is around. Probably freezing his tushie off with the cold weather we have been having.

Morning friends! The weather sure changed here with the rain....it's quite a bit cooler....starting to feel like Christmas instead of the 4th of July!

Yesterday was great! We went out, bought some stuff, but NONE of it was Christmas presents......guess we will have to go back next weekend....hahahahahaahahaha! YES!

Just what I wanted to do!

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #2 *******

Good Morning, Friends!

Hey! How was your Christmas Season day #1 yesterday?
I enjoyed my Glenn Miller Christmas tape and did some Christmas shopping.
In fact, I wound up doing MOST of my Christmas shopping, right down to getting my cards!
(If there's any one thing that's good to get done early it's card shopping. Once you get past Thanksgiving, it can be a real nightmare dealing with the crowds at the racks!)

Our Countdown continues as we progress through the Season:
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 11 (Single digits the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Under 6 weeks off, now!)
(The 90 percent mark to Christmas comes on Thursday, a scant 4 days off.
That's our final Milestone, Folks!)

We have a chilly reading of 41 here in Raleigh at this hour.
Lots of sun now but rain should return by mid week.

You have a Super Sunday, Everyone!
Remember to get that camera snappin' as you spot visual signs of Christmas
during your travels.
(Keeping the Blossoms thread in mind, of course)

Hey! Speaking of photos, I got a SUPER one of the Big Guy himself at Crabtree yesterday! Will post it as soon as I get the chance.

Good morning Christmas friends!!! Someone turned the heat off here too! We went from 70 yesterday afternoon to 30's last night & it's 40 now! Brrrrrr.... Trying to talk myself into a walk, but baby it's cold outside!!! And its cozy warm inside sitting in my recliner with my laptop, cozy blanky, coffee & Hallmark Christmas movies!!! :)

FYI - if you're interested...Amazon.com has "The 99 Most Essential Christmas Materpieces" for $1.99 - download to computer for MP3 etc. I downloaded it yesterday. Haven't listened to much of it yet, but it seems nice - maybe like Christmas dinner music. I like to listen to that kind of music while walking at night when everybody has their Christmas lights up & on! :)

Make it a great day!

cheesy Better make her breakfast in bed or something when she gets back, Jeff.

:)) Had a great time Christmas shopping and merry browsing yesterday and wee bit this morning. I'd love to hang out all day around here, but I have housework to do. O'Malley is busy grooming himself for about the 100th time today so he won't be any help.

Have a great day, y'all and keep a merry thought in your head! :hello:

Hi all!
aawh i hate having missed the intro of the season! but... I got to support a friend who is going to a hard time, and that's really important of course :)
