Good morning everyone... Well got a lot of cleaning and decluttering done over the weekend and threw out a bunch of stuff too.. Didn't get a chance to watch a Christmas movie like I wanted to however not all was lost. I stopped in our local thrift store and scored!!! I found some very cute Snowmen Christmas themed decorations and an 8ft Halloween inflatable. Got everything for just $6! My hubby plugged in the inflatable yesterday... it is huge and there is nothing wrong with it. So excited about my finds...

Well I hope everyone has a great day!

Those are some great finds, I should look at thrift shops for Christmas decor.

Good morning,

I am sitting here listening to Christmas music, just enjoying the peace of being alone right now, I have a few plans to clean up, if I ever get off my rump. We clean this place up, and the boys just act like little tornadoes and make a mess after we clean. It is a losing battle. I am making one of my wifes favorite dinners tonight, my homemade turkey sausage and mozzarela calzone. It has been a while since I made it, so it will be a good change.
3 more days until baseball season!

Have a Monday for the ages!

Good Monday morning, my Chirstmas friends!

Wow, we had some crazy weather yesterday! It rained and rained and rained, then it hailed and rained. After that, it rained! It's still pretty overcast and COLD! It was in the 80's Saturday, and the high today is supposed to be in the 60's. We'll see.

My inlaws wanted to grill steaks last night, but the rain stopped that, so we went to my father-in-law's store and ran the steaks through his industrial pizza cooker. I prefer them cooked that way, anyway. It's faster, so the juices don't have a chance to cook away. Hmm, I'm getting hungry just typing this!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Capt. Kirk was there?!? OH.My.Goodness!

I'm the biggest Trek fan in the world (with the exception of DS9),
Lucky you!cheesy

Now, Brad, did you name your DD after a ST:TNG character like my DH did? Our DD is Deanna Troi, no joke! No one gives her name another thought unless they are a ST fan, then they think it's cool. Her pediatrician calls her "Commander" when he sees her!

We don't have any Chick-Fil-A up here, I have gone to a few when I have visited my sister and brother-in-law in North Carolina, the chicken is really good, and I think it was the first time I had chicken for breakfast one of the times I went. cheesy

DD asks for chicken sandwiches for breakfast sometimes. If I have time, I'll stick frozen chicken patties in the oven while we're getting ready in the morning.

It's cold here---what happened to spring? We were in capris & t-shirts last week. This week, we're back to sweaters & jeans. Rained all weekend & a chance of rain all week with highs in the 50s & 60's. Probably weather like it should be instead of summer temps in March!

I was given my Vacation Bible School materials yesterday & that's in July, so another milestone on our way to Christmas has arrived.

We were out of the house at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and didn't stop (children's clothing consignment & two kids birthday parties) until we crashed into bed at 9:30 p.m. Yesterday I got a little nap between church services. The house is a wreck---must do laundry tonight!

Ok, I thought I was the biggest Trek fan here, but Whitney just proved me wrong! That's pretty cool that you named your daughter Deanna Troi...LOL!

Same thing going on here but rain without the hail. It was so hot Saturday then Sunday and today it is cold!

Thanks for letting me know. I changed the prize!! See my last post. I sure would never want to inflict unluckiness on anyone, especially another Christmas lover!

Don't offer this to a superstitious Scottish person - peacocks (picture, feather, whatever) in the house are considered extremely unlucky!!

I think you are absolutely correct. I wonder, though, how many people that one teacher has run off because she has run off her mouth.

The really sad part is, I do believe it! I have seen so many people like this in other forums. I bet if you passed around this recipe in person, that person that jumped all over you would have been very nice and thanked you for it. But instead they hide behind a monitor with the need to bully others. They wouldn't act that way in person.

I hope you both get well soon!

So do I, Made. It is supposed to get up to the 70s and 80s this week. Give me cool or cold weather and take the heat. I really do not enjoy summer at all.

I'm not ready for 80 and 90 degree days so I hope winter holds on a little bit longer.cheesy

Everyone will be pleased to know that Carl says his fired twinkies have less than a quarter of the calories and fat of fried twinkies.
He won't tell me what's in them (I'm not sure I really want to know, anyway) but he says something about the firing process is the reason they are healthier.
Hmmmm....... Maybe.
(Personally, they taste too good to me to be healthy!)

Lucky you! I love to shop in thrift stores and find wonderful items like that! I once found a cutting board that had a center insert with sharp prongs. You put your turkey or any other meat on it and it is easy to slice the meat! I think I paid 50 cents for it. At the same time, I cound a bread warmer from the 60s, silver with a knob on top that turns to open vents in the top. That was 50 cents, too!.

Both of my nieces worked for Chick-Fil-A a few summers ago.
First job for both of them.

Will do. Do I have to change the recipe title so Carl will know what I am talkin about?

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is chilly and partly sunny here in northern California. Thank goodness we don't have the harsh winds we have had for the past week. I will be off to physical therapy in a few minutes but wanted to stop by and say hi. Visiting the forums and posting at least once a day was a goal I set for myself this year. On a sad note, I just learned that my favorite aunt, the one I was named after died. She never had any children, so I was one of her favorites. She lived a good life and left this world at 85 years of age.
