Good afternoon, Christmas family.

I am praying for all who may be in the path of this severe weather. I hope all my dear Christmas family are safe including those of us in parts of Ohio !

I am a little scared and creeped out right now family. My husband was doing some maintenance work around the house today and discovered that SOMEONE TRIED TO TAKE THE HINGES OFF THE DOOR TO OUR HOUSE SO THEY COULD BREAK IN !!! It had to have been while we were not at home some time and probably Clancy, my Rhodesian Ridgeback scared them away........Gosh. We don't even have anything. Why would someone want to break in here ?

If you could all pray for protection for us that would be wonderful. I am, like I said, SEVERELY creeped out. We have a dead bolt but if the hinges are removed then anyone could enter and the dead bolt wouldn't stop them....

Take care my dear Christmas family and be SAFE xo

Finally.....is proud to report......we are all clear here! A good night's sleep is coming!

That's great news friend!!!!!! It looks like we get one more night of rain and then we are going to dry out for about 36 hours.

They just had a story on the news about sporting events here in town and said that our school district has had to postpone or cancel 296 events this month. How bad has been there?

That is creepy - my prayers are on the way, too!

I did not get much done today - have been monitoring the weather since I have so many friends in the line of the storms. I've been nonstop worried, can't even begin to imagine what they are going through. On top of all that, my cousin, who never gets sick other than the occasional allergy flareup is very sick. She won't go to the ER because she doesn't think her insurance will cover the visit. Please keep her in your prayers tonight.

On a good note, the basement didn't flood. I am sitting in the sunshine, Mouse is on my lap, and she seems to be feeling much better than she was this morning. She has allergy problems and with her backwards knee, she has pain when it rains. I don't think it is anything serious, but it makes her uncomfortable.

Stay safe!!!!!

Great news, ballcoach - enjoy your sleep!

That doesn't sound good. I will also be praying for RadioJonD and everyone else down that way.

If she really needs to go they absolutely will not turn her away! Trust me, I have had friends without insurance and have gone. They take them in, no questions asked. I pray she gets well!

Seawaters and Meceka (and anyone else who's interested)---I posted some crochet photos.

The tornado situation sounds so frightening---I've seen some bad thunderstorms in my time, but I've never been confronted with a tornado. I hope and pray everyone can stay safe and secure until they pass. There's even a tornado watch in my old home county in Maryland!

CM3, that sounds like a frightening situation, too. But if Clancy scared someone away once, he'll probably make any other would-be intruder leave you alone. Just the same---it makes me wonder if there's such a thing as security hinges.

My mother-in-law lives in Maryland. I need to see if she is ok!

Well it sounds like we get to get in on the fun. Tornado sirens going off but on radar it looks like it is going to stay on the west side of Indy.

I called her and told her what you posted - hopefully she will listen. Thank you for the prayers!

And with this post, Meceka is poster #8777 and the winner of a special award: the tab off a can of Tab!!!

Tobasco in coffee might be doable, the others - ewwww!

Loved the photos. I had an idea of the film strip but wanted to see if it were what I envisioned!
