Seawaters and Meceka (and anyone else who's interested)---I posted some crochet photos.

The tornado situation sounds so frightening---I've seen some bad thunderstorms in my time, but I've never been confronted with a tornado. I hope and pray everyone can stay safe and secure until they pass. There's even a tornado watch in my old home county in Maryland!

CM3, that sounds like a frightening situation, too. But if Clancy scared someone away once, he'll probably make any other would-be intruder leave you alone. Just the same---it makes me wonder if there's such a thing as security hinges.

Oh Merry !!!! Your work is absolutely BEAUTIFUL !!! I want those Christmas Trees !!!!! xo

About to finish Dancing with the Stars. I love that show. That Disney chick is my favorite, but I also like Hines. Kendra....ah...not so much.

See, I actually kinda like Kendra. Don't think she should win per se, but she's not *terrible* either. I really like everyone at this point, but I would like to see someone other than Mark win. I don't think any other pro still in the competition has won yet, have they?

And with this post, Meceka is poster #8777 and the winner of a special award: the tab off a can of Tab!!!

Just what I needed - thank you ever so much!

Well it sounds like we get to get in on the fun. Tornado sirens going off but on radar it looks like it is going to stay on the west side of Indy.

Stay safe, Made - will be praying for you!

Stay safe my fellow Midwest Christmas cousin xo !! We are supposed to have severe weather too........

Stay safe, CM3 - will be praying for you!

Saying prayers for your cousin. I hope she feels better xo
Thank you!

I want those Christmas Trees !!!!! xo

That was my first thought when I saw the picture, too cheesy

And with this post, Meceka is poster #8,800. She is raking in the prizes. And this time, it's another doozy: some fishnet stockings from the 60s to go with the tab from the Tab!!

Just what I needed - thank you ever so much!

I hope all of you fare well through the bad weather!

Hello all.

I hope everyone in a tornado watch/warning area is safe and sound. We are in a tornado watch here until 10pm so I'm a little nervous. I know some of my friends around the Atlanta area were experiencing some crazy winds earlier and I'm still waiting to hear some of them...

My week has been so incredibly relaxed. I haven't had to work at Hallmark yet and I'm realizing how little time I've had in the last 6 months to actually just RELAX and get things done. It's nice. I think I will really like my new every-other-week schedule at Hallmark when it takes effect after Mother's Day.

Also, thanks to everyone for taking time to say something about my friend's father's death. I have been taking it rather hard (I don't deal with death well at all), but my friend is doing well. We are having a service for him on Saturday, so we'll see how that goes.

Have a good (and safe!) night, everyone!

Hey guys! we are expecting severe weather tonight around 4 am:( I am watching the weather channel and most of North Alabama has been devasted tonight according to what I am hearing...I hope all the members here especially those in North AL are okay.

That doesn't sound good. I will also be praying for RadioJonD and everyone else down that way.
This wasn't a good day. I'm sure by now those of you in the USA have seen some horrific scenes from the region.

We were blessed not to have been hurt or worse and to have no significant damage. At least one of co-workers was not as fortunate. Thankfully none in her family were seriously hurt but two of their homes were destroyed.

My heart is heavy for the families in areas near me and not so near me that did not fair as well. For the first time since retiring from public service in 2006 I feel a little remorse and helpless in not being a part of the emergency response. Thank GOD for those that still do including many of my former colleagues! Their next few weeks will not be easy.

I am glad you are ok and praying for those affected by this terrible storm. Our local news said it was the same system that we suffered here.

Lots of prayers going your way. Please post here when it clears your area so we know your safe!

I am so sorry for your loss. Please know you are in our prayers.

Thanks for checking in, RJD. What a terrible shame for your area but I'm happy to hear you are safe.

RJD, as the news is being updated here my heart goes out to you all. Terrible situation and not looking too good for others either.

Please be careful to all those who may be under a tornado warning right now.

Yes Ma'am you are right; it's the same system that was in Texas. Sadly, it's not even through. Central Alabama & Georgia has the worst of it now.

I am glad you still have power. They said most of north Alabama's power is out. Stay safe my friend!

I'm surprised to have power as the other side of our block doesn't. A pole just around the corner snapped in half at four this morning.

So glad to hear you are safe---my heart goes out to those who suffered damage and injuries. The Weather Channel was calling this the worst tornado outbreak in history. Someone posted here about a tornado a mile wide---I'm fortunate to say that I can't even imagine a swath of destruction that large. As CAH said---for you folks still under watches and warnings, please post when you are clear.
