Christmas Countdown - 2011

when I use to work at a fast food restaurant, I would sometimes open a box of cookies and put it in a bowl of milk. Voila! Homemade Cookie crisp for breakfast and wash it down with a cup of Coke. Ahh to be young again! cheesy

The hard thing about working in the food industry is that you can't eat lunch during a typical lunch time, so you don't eat until 2 or 3pm. So then when you get home and the family wants to eat dinner together, you're not hungry! I'm thinking of eating the cookies again, lol, but I will try to show some self control! I'm not sure I exactly have "being young" on my side anymore either LOL

Sheesh, another long day at work - I'm so glad to be home (and even more glad that I always have Sundays off!)

Tomorrow is a VERY exciting day for me as a Christmas lover! I have a friend who's mother recently passed away (that is not the exciting part obviously). She has had a hard time enough dealing with that loss, but an even harder time going through all of her mother's stuff - because she was apparently quite the hoarder. Not the save every piece of trash type of hoarder, but instead, the go out and buy every deal, just to get a deal type of hoarder. She has sorted through everything and has about HALF of a 4-car garage FULL of Christmas stuff and has invited me over to get first dibs on anything that I want! Not only do I want to find some awesome finds for my own collection, but I have always dreamed of opening a year round Christmas shop if my career at Chick-fil-A doesn't happen. If this stuff is good quality, it would be a great opportunity for me to pick up some future merchandise!

Hopefully I'll have some exciting finds to share with you tomorrow afternoon!

Tonight is just going to be low key around our house. DH has not been scheduled much in the next two weeks at one of his jobs, so my main objective is to come up with a project list for him. I'm sure he is THRILLED! NOT!

I hope you all have a great night and CM3, I'm glad to hear you are feeling better this evening! Talk to you all tomorrow (with hopefully a huge update on the Christmas collection) and when we'll be just 2 weeks from the half way to Christmas mark! How exciting!

Evenin' MMC! How is everyone? Just lounging and watching tv here... nice day, grocery shopping, hung out at home, the hubby did a few projects with my uncle. We have friends coming over tomorrow (at who knows what time!) and I should have gotten my baking done already, but I was lazy instead.. and I am now addicted to that game Angry Birds!! WHAT A TIME WASTER!! But fun!!

It just got reeeeally breezy and COOL, finally! After 90 - 100 degree temps all week, this is heaven!

Hey hey hey and good evening! Its 11:52pm on a Saturday night. I FINALLY have time to listen to the podcast #7. I have my Christmas lights on in my office and they are twinkling away. Time to light my Candy Cane Christmas candle. We picked up yesterday some gifts for William for Christmas. Once apon a Child had a 50% madness sale so we picked up clothing for him and a bat and ball tee. It was in the 60's today. Boy oh boy did it feel like Autumn. Ahhhh nice to hear the podcast again. So. 196 days till Christmas 2011. People may say its far away but think about it. Its June 12th. About 4 YES FOUR months from now we will ALL have our Thanksgiving/Halloween stuff (and some of us Christmas stuff) up. MAN that is just soo close. I can almost taste the candy canes! I'm always keeping my eye out for holiday stuff. I always have my ipod with me so I can take a picture if need be. Oh and I am SOOOO glad we will get a podcast every month for now. Wow. Listening to it right now makes me want to put up the tree! We have a few new decorations for this year. A stocking hanger and fireplace cover. Year round I have Christmas Vacation on my ipod just in case I'm away from home and need a fix. LOL. Well I'm going to surf around. Have a great evening everyone!!!!!

happy sunday christmas gang!

had a great weekend so far, went for breakfast with my fiance yesterday morning, had the most gorgeous full english breakfast and latte, it was lovely to have some quality time together as life is so rushed at the minute as i have so much college work to do, it's taking over my life! i also managed to catch up with my girlfriends last night, we had drinks and something to eat so that was nice!

today will consist of revision for my exam on tuesday and finishing off some case studies for college... i'll be so glad when it's all over, i'm finding that running my home, taking care of my daughter, being in college 4 days a week and then having lots of homework to do quite challenging! lets hope it'll all be worth it in the end.

Last fall I went back to finish my last semester of college. I understand COMPLETELY what you mean! Full time mom, full time house care, full time work and full time student. It was the most crazy 4 months of my life and I am SO glad I only had to juggle it for 1 semester. But I graduated last month, and I can guarantee you....

IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!!! Not because the degree necessarily makes you *smarter* but more because it is a statement of your dedication and perseverance!
