Good Morning MMC !

Got a carrot cake baking already, starting to smell good!

Have to drive Lindsay into Toronto again today for her therapy. These are long days as it is a 1 1/2 hour drive each way (if traffic is good) and the therapy session is 3 hours.
But, Lindsay is good company and she thinks I am crazy and want to never hear again how long until Christmas! cheesy

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Good evening, everyone. Went to PT today. Was not feeling well even before that. We did some grocery shopping and now I am absolutely beat. The pain is not so good right now, so I will head to bed.

I hope you are feeling better this morning!!!!!!!

My poor baby Noel is sick. :( Both of us haven't slept much in about 2 or 3 nights now.. poor bugger has a stuffy nose and a little cough. !

I hope Noel starts feeling better soon so both of you can get some sleep!!!!!

I'm going to do some baking later on - whatever I can fit in as I work from home today. I pulled buttermilk out of the freezer yesterday afternoon and have ambitions for baking a few different cupcake recipes, cinnamon bread, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal cookies and Southwestern pizza.

Yum!!!! If I start heading north maybe I can make it to Meceka's for lunch and Christamsstar's for dinner. cheesy

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is a going to be a beautiful day here with a high near 70 and slightly overcast. My sister got home from her vacation last night so I am getting ready to head out to her house. I had her pick me up some ornaments at bronners and I also need to get my laptop back. Then it will be off to the grocery store to start buying things for thanksgiving dinner. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, Eve of the Weekend Friends and Saturday Anticipators!

My, we are so moving along:
Days to the Season: 142
Days to Christmas Day: 184
Two -- count 'em -- TWO days until the half-way Milestone to Christmas!
Wow! Half the journey nearly over.
(Where has the year gone, my friends?)

Speaking of going - our weather service says the heat and humidity will go (at least in large part) tomorrow and we should have a real nice start to the weekend.
That will be a welcomed change!
Overcast and 77 here currently.

OK, Everyone!
You have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday.
And a Wacky and Wonderous Weekend start this afternoon.
(And be sure to experience it all through the wonder of the spirit of the Christmas Season!)

I AM IMPRESSED - are you really that ahead of the game?? You are good!!! What are you buying today??

I bought a case of organic canned pumpkin last year for a good price on Amazon, thinking it would be good for the fall/Thanksgiving... yeah, I'm down to about 2 cans because I keep making pumpkin bread and muffins!! :rudolph:

you mean to say that boiled peanuts come out white, fluffy and taste like honey but can only be gathered first thing in the morning?
It's even better!

My poor baby Noel is sick. :( Both of us haven't slept much in about 2 or 3 nights now.. poor bugger has a stuffy nose and a little cough. Lots of playing inside today and lots of snuggles for my teeny! I am hoping Jude doesn't catch it... I guess it's only a matter of time before he gets sick, though. Blah!
Sorry to hear. Kids seem to get sick way too much!

My kids got sick all the time but my nephew, who is now 22 years old, hardly ever got sick. I only recall one time that he came down with something and had to go to the doctor. He never got colds or anything. I was jealous because I spent a lot of time at the doctors and emergency rooms. Both my kids have had a few surgeries on top of all that.

And with this post, Made is poster #12,900. And for his efforts, he receives the two weeks of menus I made yesterday as hubby drove me to PT!!! As a bonus it also includes the shopping list! Way to go, Made!!!

I hope Noel starts feeling better soon so both of you can get some sleep!!!!!

Welcome to FRIDAY! TGIF! Speaking of TGIF. Anyone remember the block of shows in TGIF. Step by Step. Dinosaurs, Family Matters..lol. Ahhh. Those were the days. Its nice and cool today. In the high 60's and drizzle. Reminds me of....FALL! Fall is not that far off. Its almost July. 2 months after that is September. Woopie! Hmmm might watch Halloweentown tonight. Man holidays make me excited. *breath...breath* LOL. hmmmmmmm the wish book I THINK comes out next month? Well back to work I go. Have a great friday all!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is supposed to be hot again today here in northern California. It is the last day of summer school, so next week, I am going to relax. Hopefully I will soon start feeling lots better. I hope all of y'all have a great day!

Good evening,

Another rainy day up here in Western Mass. Suppose to rain for 2 more days, it is only in the 60's, and the extended forecast says we won't be seeing much of anything above 80 for the next week. I guess I can't complain, strange weather this year. A week from right now I will be on vacation, not too much planned yet, I will be going out to see the new Transformers movie with the guys that week and maybe go to Six Flags New England one day, nothing much yet, I am hoping to talk my wife into going to a few field/daytrips to a few Christmas stores since a few of them opened after Memorial Day.

Just kicking back with the boys right now surprised them with Happy Meals tonight, love their reactions when I walked in with them.

Have a great night!

Thanks for all the support with the tornado issues here I truly do appreciate it.
I know you've had a tough time dealing with the tornado damage, but it's obvious you live a blessed life, my friend! cheesy

Wasn't Full House in that lineup as well? I remember my daughter loving that show because she happens to be the same age as the Olson twins and she loved watching the baby!

I noticed Halloweentown being on a lot recently. I might have to watch it too!

I just read that June 29-July 2 there will be a huge Christmas Expo in Gatlinburg, TN. I wish I lived closer to it, I would be there all 4 days cheesy.
I don't know if this happens every year but if it does I wonder if it moves to different venues every year. (maybe to Boston one year)
And would you believe I'm going to be there!?!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

We finally got some rain yesterday, and it's still drizzling a little this morning. Nice! After my Chiropractor visit yesterday, my brother and worked on the deck some more. It's coming along nicely.

I have to run my father-in-law's store tomorrow, so I'll be posting from there. He's gone to the coast, fishing with a couple of his sons.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Really, Brad? Take pictures and post up a report for us! Are you a Planet Christmas guy, too?

Jeff
LOL! Actually, I meant I'll be in Gatlinburg that week. I wasn't even aware of the expo. Is it something the public can attend, or insiders only? My work internet blocks their website.

The heat finally hit us yesterday, topping about 95, warmest of the year so far here. We had a BBQ and hosed down the kids in the front yard. In all, about as perfect a summer day as you could get with the exception of having to work.

The snow is melting big time, now. I got a call from one of my stores about a small stream that borders the property. It turned into a raging river. We've been waiting for it to happen, in fact, I've had sandbags out stacked about three feet high along the edge of it for about a month now.

Yesterday the fire department was out and the guy told me we hadn't done enough. I told him we had started on it more than a month ago and what did he suggest we do? He said we should move it out about another six feet and raise it another two to three feet. That's no small project and I told him so and I openly mused over what that would cost in time, materials and manpower. He got on his radio and within an hour we had about nine firefighters there who showed up with their own sand, sandbags, shovels, etc. The guy told me to just direct them. I couldn't believe it.

In all, it cost the company about twenty bucks in cold soda and water. I'm going to be disappointed now if that water doesn't rise a little bit more. Don't see how it can't with all that snow melting. Over the top of the passes they've got campgrounds they cannot open due to snow, drifts as high as 20 feet in some areas. I was going to head up there to take the kids camping next week for my daughter's birthday but I'm told there's no way they expect to clear the snow by then. They hope to be open by the 4th.

The vendor show is free, from what I understand. You could see a lot of Christmasy stuff, I suppose. The classes and workshops they hold cost money though.
